The property manager(John Mark) was ok when we were originally asking to see units for rent. Seemed…read morekind of aloof and short with his answers, but I chalked that up to just a bad day. He kept talking about being a "born again Christian." As soon as we were gone, his etiquette on the phone was nothing short of rude and abysmal. Every time I called to check on the status of my application, he couldn't be bothered on the phone. When I reapplied with different credentials, he never even had the courtesy of calling back. If someone is claiming to be like Jesus, they should act more like him.

They allow German Shepherds and parrots now, apparently. Funny, since when I moved in here there…read morewas definitely a breed restriction list and a "no exotic pets" rule. Now that new tenants moved in near me, not only does their dog bark like a rabid beast the moment anyone is heard or seen walking by (seriously, I can hear the damn thing loud and clear with my door and windows closed), pretty sure you can hear a parrot squawking inside there somewhere in the background. That one just might be my imagination though, but given the totality of my experience with our wonderful new tenants who can say? Regardless, that's cool the managers here relaxed their breed restrictions list. Guess I can go out and get that Doberman I've always wanted. That way next time Cletus ties Killer out on the patio where it has free range to snap at anybody walking by I don't have to fear for my life next time I walk outside hoping it doesn't break free or the next time they have it running off it's leash late at night I have some sort of personal defense as it goes berserk at the sight of me. Thanks guys! Now to top it off the surrounding residents have to contend with the fact that our new neighbors seem to think they're the only ones living here. Woohoo! Bubba pulling in blasting out Sweet Home Alabama on his truck stereo rocking your windows at 1:30 in the morning. Who doesn't love that? The fact that it's becoming routine between 10:30 and 11 o'clock at least a few nights a week doesn't bother anybody, I'm sure (actually, at least two others have complained, one of whom I spoke with personally). Neither does the fact that he'll park his red neck ride dangerously close enough to hit your side view mirror just to get the closest parking. So what's a person to do? Call up management for help in dealing with the issue? Nah. Somewhere in the contract (which is weird because I've read the contract) there's an apparent clause that states you the tenant are responsible for initiating contact to confront the problem. So not only does management not have your back in the event of a problem they also don't have a problem with putting you in paril should your neighbor turn out to be a lunatic, confrontational, or hold a mad grudge in the event the situation turns sour. I don't know about anyone else but I'm not about to poo where I eat. Also, I write a review every time I either approach managment for help and they do nothing or they respond negatively because I approached them. We're on review three here. There's no where else to vent, write reviews, publicly document incidents, or go to for help so it feels a must for me. I also feel a potential tenant should be aware of how they will be dealt with in the event anything negative should occur should they choose to move in and are put into a situation where they need to seek help from management. I guess, to be honest Bubba and Cletus here are still better than my last neighbors who just vacated. All the cigarette butts and plastic wrappers that were tossed into my yard habitually by them in addition to the loogies hacked onto the sidewalk in front of my unit, along with their 6 vehicles we had to compete for parking with, and their weird ass habit of sitting on the porch til 1 in the morning with all their trailer park buddies watching you walk to your door like a set from Children of the Damned added some old world charm to the neighborhood. Was sad to see them go. Really.

My wife and I had Weichert to list our Eaton Rapids home and to buy another home. I have entered a…read morereview early spring of this year which curiously has been deleted. Maybe there is a time limit for these reviews. The sale of out house, which was turn key ready and took no effort to sell went pretty well. However, we did ask the agent, Ann, to negotiate 60 to 90 days occupancy after closing as we knew to find the right home would be difficult. Ann presented us with a very attractive offer but with only a 30 days occupancy. When asked if she asked if she negotiated for more time she told us that's the best she can do. We found out AFTER we were forced to buy a home we didn't really want because renting was not the way we would go, The purchaser and buyer agent of our sold house both said they were never asked if they would go 60-90 days after close. In fact, the buyer had a home sold in Howell and were in it for as long as they wanted because the buyer of their home wouldn't be moved back from California for many months. Thanks Ann. The end result of this is we sold the home we bought and right at peak prices however weren't able to find a replacement (the buyer gave us 90 days). So, here we are in a trailer park having paid 6 months rent up front. We just now in December have found the right home after using only 2 months of the prepaid amount. I guess we'll use two months working on our new home and deal with it. If Ann would have gotten us the 60-90 days occupancy none of this would have happened. I have limited mobility as I have a disease that is taking my motor skills and ability to function normally away. Being a senior citizen should be respected. Ann should be ashamed. One sentence would have greatly made our life a whole lot easier. "Oh, by the way, the seller needs 60-90 days occupancy". That doesn't seem like too much to ask. Thank you Eric and Ann. An apology would help our healing. You don't know the costs involved. Amazing. Please read Matthew 7:12. Happy Holidays.
