The girls working were helpful and patient even though we were there at a busy time. One of them (Ellie I believe) helped my daughter with a marbling technique for her mug. They also recommended a speciality paint that made my piece look amazing (and I'm not very artistic ). The price was comparable to other pottery painting shops we've been too. My Christmas tree was around 40 and my daughter made a giant mug for 30ish. They have smaller items too.

Ann and Sandy are SO friendly and patient -- and you will talk to both of them throughout the class like they're lifelong friends. Ann walked us through 4 projects to get us familiar with how to work the clay, all the way up to using the pottery wheel. So much fun! We're looking forward to having our work shipped to us! Some of the items include pretty pictures of the great Smoky mountains, homemade wooden baskets for decor or Christmas ornaments, small paintings, and different kinds of jewelry. One jewelry I really liked and is unique was a necklace of an antler and turquoise stone. The antlers are naturally shed and she cuts them into pieces to put the turquoise stone on. Also got some bracelets made with turquoise stones. There was only one left of the turquoise bracelet that I wanted but it was too tight. The owner graciously offered to make it bigger so it could fit. She let me try on the bracelet to make sure it was a size I wanted. The bracelets came with one charm of my picking. There were different kinds of charms including a tree, leaf, butterfly, and dragonfly. I appreciated the owner being willing to make a deal when I bought more than one of the same jewelry. My experience was one of the best customer service I have ever received. Definitely a must stop if you're in Maggie Valley!
