We came to Stonelick State Park in September for a short visit and hike. The hike we did from the campground along the lake was easy. Pretty views of the lake, but nothing amazing. For my kids it was perfect though. Hoping we can come back to use the lake next summer.

First time camping here & we stayed for 2 nights. People are friendly and is not crowded. Our camp site is right next to the lake perfect for fishing, caught a few catfish and a bunch of turtles! Camp ground is very clean and well kept, it is not a full hookup though.

The only part of the park I have explored is the lake itself. Water level was low while we were kayaking. Still, the lake was gorgeous. It was fairly easy to paddle around. We adjusted how we were paddling, and stayed further from shore. Even with all the other boats taking advantage of the warm autumn weather, the lake was peaceful. Some debris in terms of branches. I did not really observe trash. The lake and surrounding shore looked clean. Lots of wild life. We saw several different varieties of birds, turtles, and even fish jumping out of the water. A fair amount of people were out on the lake to fish. Only electric powered boats are allowed. This makes things less disruptive for the creatures living there. It also makes it easier for paddlers to maneuver about. From the lake, the campgrounds appeared calm. They have their own boat launch. On the other side of the lake is a beach where swimming is permitted. According to a friend, the hiking trails are well marked.

Fantastic lake with beach! Came here with our kayaks loaded and ready to get in the water. We drove back to the campground just to take a look and they offer several sites. If you'd like more of a lake front or wooded area, check around site 124-125. However, it's very scarcely "wooded." Too many sites right on top of each other with no trees in between. There's several spots to pull off and fish/put in your kayak or canoe. No real designated launch sites but still areas you can get in and out of. We put our kayaks in mid lake and paddled to the beach where we spent a decent hour. Everyone takes care of themselves at the beach, I was happy to see parents actually paying attention to their kids. No one was too rowdy or out of control. I can imagine this beach can get pretty busy with no other swim options in this part of the county. We felt comfortable leaving our kayaks up on the beach to swim for a bit. The only downfall to the beach area is the very large hill to go down. Not handicapped accessible at all. Comparable to a hill to sled down. Also, we didn't see any restrooms nearby...... lastly, parking was immense! Lots of spots! We got back in our kayaks for another couple hours. This is a nice quiet lake to stop and float. No big, fast boats are zooming by. Plenty of fisherman and other canoers, specifically rental canoes from the camp office. Overall a very nice, clean lake!

What a nice lake! Nothing but electric motors are allowed here so its perfect for kayaking, and the size is large enough to offer plenty of spaces to check out. There are nice boat ramps and parking spaces along the water. Not too sure about the beach and camping area as it was off season, so maybe they didn't seem as nice as they would during the peak times. There are a few hiking trails which are nice, but the downside is there isnt parking right by them, so as best I could figure, you have to park in one of the lots, then walk down alongside the main road to get to the trail heads, which is no bueno, especially when you have dogs and it is the busy season.

I love their campground. It is small but well-kept and they always have something fun to do on the weekends.

Came for a last trip in our rv before we retire it. Our stay was great until last night Thursday…read moreSeptember 18th 2025. My husband came home from work (construction worker) and wanted to take a shower. He walked down to find the men's shower room locked with boys/men saying they'll be finished in 5 as if they were the only one allowed to use the 3 stall shower house. There were only 2 guys in there. My husband went to talk to the workers in the bait house who told him the first time the doors shouldn't be locked and they'd go talk to them and added if it were someone's girls they should be using the women's shower. My husband waited an hour to go again for a shower, walked over again to find the doors locked. This time it was a dad and his daughter. Now I get you don't want anything to happen to your child but the problem is instead of nicely explaining to my husband his young daughter was in the men's shower showering guy decided to come out after my husband knocked and get in my husband's face and be aggressive as if my husband was wrong for wanting a shower and not knowing his younger daughter was in there. So my husband again goes to the bait house and as he's explain the situation the guy comes rushing in with his short buddy getting in my husband's face and getting loud. All the workers just stood there. My husband asked in front of the guy again if the doors were supposed to be locked and this time they said no but we make exceptions for him. As my husband realizes no one was going to say anything to the guy he told them he's coming to the rv and calling the cops and would like to speak to the owners this morning. It wasn't until then they told my husband he had his young daughter in there. Guy calls my husband a pussy and asks him to fight in the field when my husband didn't back down the guy turned around to the workers and said you see he's the aggressor. The owners came this morning to tell my husband if he didn't apologize we'd have to leave. Well guess what we left because we aren't apologizing for something that 1 was caught on camera and 2 for something we didn't instigate... not to forget all the drug activity I've seen since being here for the last 12 days. Mind you no one told my husband the guy was in there with his young daughter until my husband asked to speak with the owners this morning. How was he supposed to know he had his daughter in there? That's why we decided instead of apologizing to the guy who was 100 percent the aggressor we left. If he would had told my husband his young daughter was in there taking a shower my husband would have waited and went back a 3rd time but guy just comes out getting in my husband's face and being aggressive talking about you don't need to bang on the door obviously SOMEONE'S taking a shower. If he would have said it was his young daughter and not SOMEONE it would have been fine but that's not how it went. And im sure all the workers told the owners a story that made the guy look better in the situation instead of the Truth. But no instead they took his side and said if he didn't apologize we'd have to leave. Honestly after being there for 12 days and witnessing all the illegal activity, So much so Hamilton township patrols through every other day, not somewhere anyone would like to stay unless they're caught up in the shit. That being said they are all nice and everything if you are just fishing there but if you are camping there expect issues

It's a saltwater pool And all the customers are friendly and laid-back. you know it's a campground, there's gonna be spiders, it's a public shower yeah there might be hair on the floor. But I can tell you their public showers and bathrooms are CLEAN. Som campgrounds have no showers or bathrooms and I've been places where I just went out in the woods and dug a hole lol then waited until I got home for a shower. It's a great campground! I mean it's a campground you're not in a $5000 a night hotel so enjoy it. It's one of the few places left like that. I'm generation X and there used to be those types of places everywhere when we were kids, and those places are disappearing quickly! so if you get a chance to take your kids to Beechwood acres, take them , disconnect from the wire and the Internet, and enjoy family time. Best wishes.

Just electricity & water ONLY. There is NO shade at all. They have removed about 99.9% of the trees through-out the campsite to squeeze in as many campers as they can. You guessed it. You are packed in there like sardines. Camping right on top of one another. You can hear your neighbor snoring, that's how close you are camping next to the next camper. It's ridiculous. There is Mainly gravel, Zero grass. Look at my image. You can see how close the two fire pits are close together, a camper sides in that gravel slot next to us. So, yes that's very close!! O.M.G. The showers. NASTY, NASTY, NASTY. Reminds me of the hills has eyes. So scary! My children would not even go in them at all. Images attached. Hair attached to the side walls. The showers are 2'x3'. Very tiny. Not joking. Mold and rust through-out the entire shower room. Ceiling, floors, walls. Absolutely disgusting. You have a screen door to shut behind you, and lock, then a curtain to close, it does NOT even go all the way to the floor. ANYONE can easily Get in there!! You will need a tetanus shot leaving the shower. The restrooms, Very dirty, not cleaned daily. Toilet's do not flush, you know what it always in there. The playground is way too small, Very old and Needs updated. Quiet time starts at 11pm. Ha. That's not enforced at all. The drunks stay up all night and flock to the center of the campground yelling, screaming, fighting and arguing. Live bands & karaoke play to 12-1am. So, definitely twice before staying here. We regret it so much!

Our experience was very disappointing…read more The staff was rude, and the restrooms were consistently dirty. Throughout the campground, kids were riding electric scooters, and people were driving golf carts recklessly with little regard for others. Ironically, the posted 5 mph speed limit didn't seem to apply to the maintenance staff, who were often driving much faster. There are alot of run down seasonal campsites that gives this place the vibe of a run down trailer park. The biggest issue was the hidden fees and reservation process. The website allows you to select and pay for a specific campsite, giving the impression that it's reserved. However, what they don't tell you is that, if you don't pay an additional $25 "site lock" fee (which was not clearly disclosed during booking), another guest who is willing to pay that fee can take the site you selected. I've never encountered a campground that operates this way, and it's incredibly misleading. Between the poor customer service, lack of cleanliness, unsafe behavior throughout the campground, and unexpected fees, I would not recommend staying here.
