Best bike shop ever. Very helpful. Community treasure. First place we think of when we need bike help.

But they didn't treat me any differently for having an older style bike which I appreciate. Chris helped me with my bike got it up and running very quickly and treated me very well. He even held the door open for me to get the bike into my vehicle. I really appreciated that . I felt attended it to from the time I came in to the time I left. I've been to other bike shops that treated me poorly and I really appreciated the good customer service they all gave me.

I was initially a little turned off that none of the employees were wearing masks - even though most of the customers were. But, they told me they'd take a look at my bike -- and let me know a few days later that two spokes would need to be replaced. I picked it up a week or so later (again - no masks) and it seemed to be okay. A few weeks later - more broken spokes. Took it back in (this time masks - at least for the counter people)... got a call a few days later and was told the entire wheel/rim needed replacing due to corrosion. He apologized for not catching it earlier... and did a complimentary fix on the spokes this time. I ordered the new tire/rim a few days later and was told it would be in in about a week. Three weeks later - I've heard nothing. I get it, the pandemic has slowed things down... but 3 weeks vs. the 1 week I was promised was a bit much. So I called and was told it was back ordered. Again, I understand that -- but, I feel good customer care would've called me around the initial estimated date. -- Shortly after I left this review, I received a message from Anne Marie Gealy: "We are sorry you felt it necessary to bash us. I'm sure your perfection will overcome any issues you have with any other issues ahead" I didn't bash Main Street Bicycle. I left an account of my experience there. I feel it was polite and true. I am disappointed about my experience there and hoped my review would help improve the experience there. I feel my review was fair and explained the issues I had with the shop. Mrs. Gealy's accusation is unfair and her brash response is undeserved. Instead of contacting me to address and maybe fix these issues would go a long way to turning a bad experience into a good one... instead, my already disappointing experience with this bike shop sinks even lower. So if you want a shop to not properly diagnose your bike, "fix" your bike for it to have the same issue a couple weeks later --- when you'll have to throw more money to get it fixed properly... then have one their people attack you in messenger... then Main Street Bicycle is for you!

I said what I said…read more There is nothing quite like a locally-owned bike shop full of incredible human beings who are truly passionate about what they do, and who have taken the time to build an entire community around that. * CHEF'S KISS * I so appreciate all of the effort that this shop POURS into the local community: hosting events with the All Bodies on Bikes organization, hosting cycling clinics and events for the local Venture Out women's group, hosting drawings to give away bikes to local children, being a sponsor of the local velodrome, running support for the local mountain bike events/races, running support for the local cyclocross races, hosting regular weekly shop rides, etc, etc. I love that they've brought a local artist in to do regular chalk murals on the wall in the front of the shop - how cool is that??? All of the brands that CFC carries, are all top-notch, quality brands. I appreciate that they believe in everything that they carry - you know you're getting something good and not junk just to sell junk. I did a bike fit with Larry several months ago, and I am overdue for a maintenance fit as I prep for a big race in the next few months. Larry is incredible to work with. Not only is he an amazing human being to begin with, he is full of knowledge and an excellent teacher who wants your participation and understanding in the bike fit that you're getting. I felt very comfortable asking all of the "stupid" questions, and working with him to figure out exactly what I needed to get a good fit. Whether you're new to riding, or just haven't ever taken the time to get a professional bike fitting, I would 100% recommend scheduling a fit with Larry to make sure that you are comfortable and getting the most out of your bike. If you're in the market for a new bike, looking for bike maintenance, looking for ideas for modification or inspiration, looking for bike accessories, or just looking for local trail recommendations, this place is absolutely a must visit. I will never ever hesitate to recommend Clever Fox Cyclery.

I scheduled a fitting with Larry, and he spent over two hours helping dial in my current bike. As someone new to cycling, his expertise was incredibly helpful. He walked me through riding technique, pedal options, and how to properly line up my cleats and shoes. I recently purchased a new bike from Clever Fox, and Larry again spent another two hours making sure the bike was adjusted perfectly so it fit comfortably. After getting my first flat, I called Larry and he connected me with Carson, who helped me out even though the store was closed so I wouldn't miss a day of riding. The level of knowledge and service from everyone at Clever Fox has been outstanding. I'll definitely be coming back for all my cycling needs.

I called ahead of time before I went to the store and spoke with Jonathan . I was needing assistance with a bike part to attach my daughters child seat. He mentioned that he couldn't promise but if I brought the bike in he could check if they had the right part that they would help with that . And even if they didn't have the part they would tell what part it needs and I would go buy it else where. I loaded the bike up and went to head over to the store. Right when I walked in the associate that was there ( did not get name but he was bald ) he didn't seem happy to deal with me for some reason because he had a strong look on his face that I was bothering him . I let him know I spoke with Jonathan and he said I could get help with the part needed on this bike. He told me he doesn't know and that he's sorry if I misunderstood him and he did not help at all. This is a bike shop! I ended up going through all that hassle for nothing and he did not care . I went to ace hardware and they helped me get the part I needed . They were shocked that another bike shop didn't help with something they should have known. Very inconveniencing and very rude . I will NOT be referring others to this business. Consider going to another bike shop that wants to actually help their customers.

While we were discussing one of the bikes we were looking at, a worker with long greasy blonde hair peered around the corner and screamed, "ARE YOU GONNA BUY IT???" Looking up confused I replied maybe I don't know yet? Seeing that his demeanor did not change after giving my answer I proceeded to ask, is there an issue do you need us to leave? "YEAH!!" He replied loudly. After leaving the store I found out that they were closing at 9. I was under the impression that they were closing at 10. We did not cause any disturbance or leave any items out of place. All he had to do was show a slight amount of courtesy and respect to my friend and I and there would have been no problem. I told him we would leave but he did not need to be an ass about it, and he continued to scream things that I did not hear but I did hear him say "LETS TALK A LITTLE NICER YEAH????". Very rude would not recommend bringing children there to look at bikes because the greasy blonde haired man will scream at your children to leave if they look at a bike for a bit to long without immediately purchasing it. Would put 0 stars if I could.

Online order pick up is a breeze here! You simply bring in the email (or look it up on your phone) to the Online Order Pickup kiosk in the front of the store. Simply scan the barcode at the kiosk and an employee will bring your order quickly. I was in and out of the store within a minute during a busy Sunday in December! This store is very clean and every employee I've encountered here is happy to help. Would recommend coming here!
