Violet was the sweetest. Rates here for rentals are incredible. I recommend Paint Creek Trail.

I brought my daughters bike in to be tuned up. It hadn't been maintained for several years. I…read morecouldn't have been happier with the friendly service and the phone calls. I received before every minor repair was attempted to make sure that I approved. The price to tune up the bike and make minor repairs was very reasonable, and the customer service was exceptional! I will definitely come back here for any repairs. We need on our bikes or to buy accessories in the future.

AVOID this place in every way possible!…read more Checked place out, some really nice bikes. Priced $500-4000+ for the adults. 2/3 of the boys are going to need mountain bikes very soon, and the 3rd close behind, so was shopping also for the near future. I've also been contemplating a new one for myself. As for the moment... Have 4 bikes that need repairs, 1 mountain, 3 BMX style. Mountain has gears skipping and the BMX's need brakes fixed and need tires and/or tubes. Walk in, explain all issues with one of the mechanics. This gent was directed to help me by a blonde hair lady. He's a young man, very nice. Says they're obviously swamped and backed up but bring em in and they'll be put in line, after we discussed in detail the obvious need to figure out what the issue is with the mountain bike particularly, as it could be numerous things. Now, with no brakes and flat tires, and the skipping gears gonna blow out a knee, can't really ride any of them anyway right? While there, the same blonde hair lady is described by a different employee to another customer as "the owners wife" in a conversation near me while they are negotiating a discount with a customer. Go straight home, load up all the bikes and return to the store. Look around and find a couple hundred dollars in accessories I would like to buy after I get the bikes unloaded/written up. Go to the register to get things going. Associate bugs her eyes out at me like I'm an alien when I tell her I'm there to drop off 4 bikes for repairs. Tries to get into how backed up they are and if the mountain bike is really old (it's not) it could be just about anything! Clearly wants nothing to do with my business. I'm thinking, yeah ummmm that's what you're supposed to do here right? Figure it out and charge me accordingly to fix it right? Then I come back and spend thousands on new bikes soon, accessories today I don't even actually need, and refer friends and family. This is an easy business model people. She refers me to the blonde lady aforementioned. I think great, "the owners wife" now this will be quick and easy right? Write me up, get my bikes and I'll be on my way awaiting my turn for repair after I grab those accessories. She then unbelievably starts the same routine, "could be anything" "we've just slowly got mechanics returning to work" "we have a lot of repairs right now" etc etc... She then goes even further and flat out encourages me to come back another time if they can still be used... this is AFTER it is explained there are no brakes, flat tires etc! And she also goes the route of, the initial lady, with the whole bit about how it could be several things with the mountain bike and adds "you know and then the labor can really start to add up." I was ABSOLUTELY dumbfounded at this insanity at this point. Now feeling like I'm in the Twilight Zone of a business model I say, and I am somehow still being very polite with my demeanor, "you know, it's pretty clear you don't want my business so I'll just be on my way now", point out the future loss of all my kids business and proceed to leave. NOW she awakens from her poor customer service coma and cares! She actually starts to follow me out saying wait, and says "I am the owner" and "oh no, someone else just tried that on the phone with me a little while ago"... hmmmm, see a theme here with lost business lady? BIG HINT: it. is. you. She tries to now back peddle (yes that was a bicycle joke) and explain away how she came into the middle of a story, regarding the mechanic she sent out to speak with me 20 minutes prior, and acts like me and her did not JUST have a conversation in which I again reiterated the issues and said multiple times the bikes can't be safely used until fixed anyway blah blah blah. I just simply and calmly repeat myself with no, you've made it painfully obvious you do not want my business and then the kicker, she actually gets mad at me! Angrily says "you can go take your bikes down the road!" Pointing angrily away into the air and adds yelling through the store as she is walking away "good luck!" Yep, she actually had the audacity to try and flip the script with the ol "you can't fire me, I quit!" routine. As I said. AVOID AVOID AVOID and to that poor polite young man who clearly knows more about a business than this "owner" or whatever she is, run as fast as you can!

But they didn't treat me any differently for having an older style bike which I appreciate. Chris helped me with my bike got it up and running very quickly and treated me very well. I was initially a little turned off that none of the employees were wearing masks - even though most of the customers were. But, they told me they'd take a look at my bike -- and let me know a few days later that two spokes would need to be replaced. I picked it up a week or so later (again - no masks) and it seemed to be okay. A few weeks later - more broken spokes. Took it back in (this time masks - at least for the counter people)... got a call a few days later and was told the entire wheel/rim needed replacing due to corrosion. He apologized for not catching it earlier... and did a complimentary fix on the spokes this time. I ordered the new tire/rim a few days later and was told it would be in in about a week. Three weeks later - I've heard nothing. I get it, the pandemic has slowed things down... but 3 weeks vs. the 1 week I was promised was a bit much. So I called and was told it was back ordered. Again, I understand that -- but, I feel good customer care would've called me around the initial estimated date. -- Shortly after I left this review, I received a message from Anne Marie Gealy: "We are sorry you felt it necessary to bash us. I'm sure your perfection will overcome any issues you have with any other issues ahead" I didn't bash Main Street Bicycle. I left an account of my experience there. I feel it was polite and true. I am disappointed about my experience there and hoped my review would help improve the experience there. I feel my review was fair and explained the issues I had with the shop. Mrs. Gealy's accusation is unfair and her brash response is undeserved. Instead of contacting me to address and maybe fix these issues would go a long way to turning a bad experience into a good one... instead, my already disappointing experience with this bike shop sinks even lower. So if you want a shop to not properly diagnose your bike, "fix" your bike for it to have the same issue a couple weeks later --- when you'll have to throw more money to get it fixed properly... then have one their people attack you in messenger... then Main Street Bicycle is for you!

We tested out some hybrid Treks but weren't certain which ones we liked. My husband tried both the hybrids as well as road bikes. Dan was super patient and helpful to us. We went back again today and was helped by Rick. He was attentive and on the ball and helped set us up on several types of bikes today to test out. We tested out the Electra's, then the Townie and finally the electric bikes. The Electra bikes were unbelievably comfortable and far as ride and overall comfort and fit, as well as ease of gear switches, all internal to the bike and done with twist of the handle grip. The Townie was a stiffer and rougher ride. The electric bikes were exhilarating and fun for sure, but pricey. I rode and electric Townie bike that was about $2,600 and my husband tested out an electric bike by Townie that costs $4,600, their higher end model. It was most noticeable during the turbo setting. There is also the Eco, touring and sport modes as well. I preferred and felt the biggest impact during turbo. I am most swayed by the true comfort ride of the electric cruiser 7, by far my favorite of all of the bikes I have tried out so far. Think I found the winner.

A black woman that lives in this neighborhood. I entered the store and was not greeted by a soul. I inquired if anyone was working - no response. Another customer stated the two guys staring at me behind the counter were working, they never opened their mouths. Turned their heads and continued to talk to one another, the female employee stated something along the line of her being unavailable and the men could assist us. They never came over. I walked to service and asked another employee why we weren't being waited on, he was perplexed and stated he didn't understand why they hadn't come over. The white people in the store had been greeted and waited on, and happily shopping. We stood there with a bike picked out ready to be assisted and never ever had the courtesy of being checked out. Without words, it was very blatant our black business was unwanted. I even inquired again before leaving and they literally stared at me like mutes. Disgusting. Racist. Despicable. Will never ever support the "privileged" KLM Bike & Fitness at any of its locations. If zero stars was an option I would put that and just so you all at the store are aware I will be putting in a complaint with BBB and I will push for an investigator to visit your store and conduct a field experiment regarding overt and subtle forms of racial discrimination/"retail racism".
