I didn't really want to go this time because the first time was a strange experience. The guy who runs the register was going out of his way to be unfriendly. He told me the price and I handed him my American Express and he said, "We only take Visa." So, I gave him a Visa to pay and then left. Never went back until now, because I like to use my Amex for the points. Today I went in to get stuff for margaritas because tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo, and this store happened to be most convenient. The same guy was there and acting very unfriendly, almost like he didn't want me there. I didn't think much of it until he told me my card was decline. It was a Visa that I had just used to get gas earlier. I thought it was strange, but handed him another visa that I knew had $900. This time he tells me it said insufficient funds. The purchase was only $42. I didn't argue with him and just walked next door to the grocery store and made a purchase without any problem with the same card. I have no idea why the guys in this store are so weird, but I would suggest going anywhere else but there to purchase spirits.

I'm always down It's located in a strip mall in a touristy area, so I expected a pretty vanilla selection of spirits, but I've got to say I was impressed. I'm always down for a hunt, and Forsbergs was fun. The aisles are tight and the shelves deep and just a little disorganized and really feels like digging through a garage or something as you scan the shelves. Finding something like that is more rewarding for some reason. I found a few more difficult to find bourbons and some barrel picks tucked into the shelves and sent one home with my dad. I talked to the guy at the register and he said the owner, Mr. Forsberg, is passionate about spirits and brings great bottles in regularly. They suggested to come in when he's there to inquire. Good experience all around.
