I had to wait another two weeks but didn't pay a dime toward another door. Not only that, they upgraded the silicone channel edging that keeps the steam inside. When everything goes right it is great but it might mean you just got lucky. When a contractor gives you an ideal outcome even when they ended up buying a second new tempered glass door, you know you selected the right people.

One of the reasons I chose Main Street Glass besides price, was because they are an authorized installer of Guardian - ShowerGuard glass. When shopping around for glass quotes, so many other disreputable places tried to sell me other products like Starphire glass with Diamond Fusion even though I insisted that I wanted Guardian with ShowerGuard. One place even tried to sell me a Starphire Glass claiming it had ShowerGuard, but ShowerGuard is only available on Guardian Glass. Starphire is another brand and does not come with ShowerGuard. I also wanted a 3/8" door and a 1/2" panel and most places only wanted to do 3/8" all around, but I wanted 1/2" panel for more rigidity and less deflection when closing the door against the panel. Main Street Glass provided me the glass I was looking for with the life time warranty from ShowerGuard along with proof of purchase to register my purchase for warranty purposes. They did a great job installing the glass and cleaned up very nicely afterwards.
