So just had some outlet work done on my home. Where other electricians would shun in such a small job Mr. Valvo took it on. Again, he quoted me a great price and sent his team over a few days later. The team arrived nice and early, laid out tarp to protect the floors and went in full steam ahead. All the outlets were put in fine and afterwards they tested each one in front of me and made sure the GFCI operated correctly. Where other electricians wouldn't go the team went into my crawl space and made an impossible outlet in my bedroom possible. These are my electricians for good. So happy for Valvo electric. Beyond thrilled with Steve Valvo and his team! My fiance and I just moved into our condo which was only equipped for floor lamps. Since that is one of my biggest pet peeves, the first order of business was to get quotes to install overhead lighting. After contacting two people through Home Advisor, I decided to consult trusty ole Yelp and stumbled across Valvo Electric. Since my condo is in Haverstraw and they are based in Haverstraw, I really hoped it would be a good match to use in the future as well. I called Steve on a Friday and he came out the next day to give me a quote. Steve was very nice, quick, and efficient. Unlike the other electricians that came out and then I had to wait a few days to get an estimate via email, Steve gave me a quote on the spot, which was a full $700 cheaper than any of my other quotes. We knew right away we would be using Valvo Electric. Once we told Steve we were ready to proceed, he arranged a day, agreed on 7:30am to start, and I proceeded to buy way too expensive light fixtures because I was so excited! Since this is my first home purchase and not a rental, being able to change the lighting is something I've never been able to do before. So it was very exciting for me. Steve and his crew (Mike and Sergio) arrived early and were ready to begin working right at 7:30am. I was originally told the work would take 3 hours - well it only took 2 1/2! I was given an original estimate based on cutting the ceiling and running wiring, but Steve asked if I wanted them to hang the fixtures too at no extra charge! This is honestly the epitome of home-town customer service. The guys were extremely nice while completing the work, didn't mind me repeatedly getting in the way to ask questions, and at the end, they even swept the floor and put all the furniture back where it was. I can't say enough about Steve, Mike, and Sergio. If you are in need of electrical work anywhere in Rockland County, give Steve a call. Steve and his team installed a ceiling fan and outdoor generator hookup for our house. They were incredibly easy to work with and very professional. When the day came for the work to be performed, two techs arrived and finished up everything in just over two hours. They started together on the fan, and then split up to work on their various tasks. Couldn't be happier with the quality of work. I have passed their location for years. I needed an electrician for a weird problem. I only had half of my house working. Steve told me he would be there around 3 and was there at 3/30. He checked all the obvious first and told me his crew would be there in the AM. They got here and jumped into the problem. They were polite and neat and checked everything thoroughly. I can't even say enough about this business. They are GREAT!!! I called up at 10:00 in the morning, I talked to Steve. His crew came over in an hour. My lights in my family room were dimming, then going on and off. I thought there was a poltergeist in my house. They were here for 3 1/2 hours. I was so worried what the bill was going to be.
