I've driven by this place several times and thought "maybe someday" - well today was the day and I advise you to check it out too. It's a deli and convenience store. The convenience store part has a good selection of drinks, a small collection of candy and snacks, and some random items such as cereal, paper towels, etc. The deli is surprisingly nice and high quality. This place is really yummy but I'm knocking a star down because every time I'm in I see stuff that isn't quite sanitary as far as touching things with your bare hands then preparing food without washing prior. Another time I watched a tomato hit the floor and get set back on the counter instead of directly in the trash wish makes me a little suspicious. I haven't been back since the "tomato incident" the other times were forgivable but it seems to be habitual at this point. I'm uncomfortable going somewhere they aren't following the rules to the letter when customers can see. I used pick up sandwiches for my husband because it's been a longtime place for him to eat. read more

Their sandwiches are absolutely amazing! My favorite place to get a sandwich in town everything is fresh they have hot and cold sandwiches. This is our go-to market for cigs, beer and quick need purchases, and their sandwiches made on sight, fresh and good as I smell them being made. They just expanded their selections with a 'dollar store' kind of market - 99c to $1.29 for the things we would have to drive across town to get a year ago. Lovin' it. Yay for uptown Stop and Go, hanging on and growing in spite of the parking issues and bike lane. Walkable location from the Oregon Ave corridor. "Walk and Go" is a better name for it - it's on a bus line, pedestrian and bike line and major route from highway. Anyone between California Ave, St Francis, Conger Park/ School & Oregon/Biehn and 8th or Doty and Oregon can walk there. The long time OG workers live nearby and always there - Mike the Guy - smart and kind and no bull and the night shift lady OG Love the place. May they thrive and prosper as a neighborhood business and employer. Mike at the store is really awesome friendly knowledgeable guy - watching over the neighborhood. They used to sell day old onion lettuce for 50c in beautiful condition a year ago until I started buyingi it up instead of driving sherms and before Holiday Market lol. I think Mike's wife might be Italian or Mediterranean, because when she's making the deli sandwiches, you think you're in another land from the delicious smell. I've commented many times and my budget has shrunk, but this is a gem in KF and if I knew about 'basin best' I wouldn't have shared it anyway because they are really a local, good deal for us in the outskirts of uptown. read more

LOVE this deli. I'd never heard of it for the longest time but then a friend recommended it and the rest is history. The interior is clean and well-organized; I always get my food to go, but there are some cute tables and chairs where you can sit down to eat as well. The owners are super friendly and positive and always make your visit great. I'd probably eat just about anything on their menu, but the Turkey Milano is my absolute favorite sandwich. They also have other candy/drink/snack options like a typical corner store. HIGHLY recommended. It's kind of a hole in the wall and I'm sad more people haven't heard of it. read more

Went here today on a recommendation. Whoa! Great sandwiches. I got the Italian toasted and my buddy the gyro. Great sandwiches. I would say competes for a top spot in town. Very clean and owners are really nice folks. My buddy got the gyro. It looked awesome. If I wasn't completely stuffed I would have gotten one for the road. Looks are deceiving in this place.
