I had a really upsetting experience at Stop & Shop. On Thursday, October 16, 2025, around 11:15 a.m., I slipped and fell in the store because of a wet or slippery area that wasn't properly marked or cleaned. I was shaken and didn't think to call the police or take photos at the time, but I did report it to the store right away. They told me their insurance representative would contact me within 24 hours. She didn't call until late Friday, when I couldn't talk, and when I finally spoke to her Monday morning, I explained everything and told her I'd gone to Urgent Care. I called her three times trying to get a claim number and insurance information, and when she finally called back, she said Stop & Shop wasn't liable and that I had to go through my own insurance. She also mentioned that it would take 2-3 weeks to review the video footage. It's really disappointing how this was handled. I expected more care and concern from a company like Stop & Shop. Accidents happen, but the lack of communication and empathy made the situation worse. I hope they take customer safety and follow-up more seriously in the future. Posting this to inform others -- if you ever experience a slip and fall, make sure to take photos, get witness names, and document everything right away. read more

When you're feeling particularly flush and just have too much cash weighing down your monocle, top hat and tails, this sad sack Stop & Shop is eager to relieve you of your excess currency burdens. We've been to other supermarkets, so when you jack prices to the sky, you insult our intelligence. Everything here right down to the Morton Salt is egregiously overpriced. Regardless of location Stop & Shop (Giant in Pennsylvania) is usually the high price provider (I don't know why exactly, their stores are 80's time capsules) but $3.99 for a box of Ronzoni is, even in these inflationary times, just insulting. An easy pass. No sale. read more

I picked out several items that were supposed to have discounts, including $6 off on crab legs, and I put my phone number into the computer, but I got no discounts. I looked back at my receipt from Saturday, and they didn't give me my discounts then either. I'm quite aggravated and I don't like having to drive the extra 10 minutes to ShopRite. read more

Was harassed by a would be Nazi (mustache and all) that was supposed security. Had I not after already being in the parking lot holding all my groceries (forget a bag in my car) not placed my receipts for items purchased on a table that was back in the store, across the whole length, up the second floor, and down the hallway, who knows how he and a henchman would've played this out. I was never asked to furnish the receipts, but was asked to accompany him as if the police. Quite the joke. And no, he wasn't doing his job. You could see the items in my hands along with the receipts. The receipts could've been furnished there on the spot. Instead, it became a whole lot more. Suffice it to say, after being a regular and recognized patron for about 4 years, this place is BANNED. And yes, generally overpriced. More convenient due to its location. read more

This store has gone downhill so quickly that we have decided after a number of incidents not to shop here any longer. What I am reporting here was all in one shopping activity. The first was buying cole slaw from the deli. When we got it home, it tasted and smelled more like fish. I called the store to tell the Deli manager and he said should bring it back but I told him it wasn't worth me driving back for $1.59. The second was that on that same trip that I purchased the cole slaw, I bought lamb chops. The 6 chops looked perfectly fine and meaty in the package. I put them in the fridge when I got home so we would have them the next day. Once I cooked 3 of them and took the first bite, the taste was more like the meat had gone rancid! This time we did take the meat back to the store and they refunded the money. Also on that same trip I bought a package of Whippets, the Canadian version of Mallomars only much better. When I opened the package the chocolate had turned a brownish white and certainly did not look fresh. After all of this... I think Stop and Shop has had a downturn in how they maintain their food. This had pretty much been our grocery store of choice but I'm sorry to say we will be going back to Wegmans and Shoprite. read more

Needed to exchange my Blue Rhino propane tank, so I went in and paid and was told somebody would meet me outside to exchange the tank. Fast forward 30 minutes and two calls inside I am still waiting service. Was busy and understaffed so I'll go with two stars. read more

I have shopped at this location for months now, nearly exclusively. Today I witnessed a horrifying scene outside of the store. A homeless man was sitting on the curb outside of the store. The store manager Rob was standing over this man telling him he couldn't sit there and needed to leave. This man wasn't hurting anyone and at worst might have asked for some change. The way this manager stood over this guy and the way he talked to him was nothing short of disgusting. This manager needs a lesson in basic morals and human decency. With as many organizations as they have sitting in the doors begging for money from people coming in and out, you'd think he could have treated this man a little better. Or even offer the guy a sandwhich. anything but making this guy feel lower than he already does. When we stepped in and tried to intervene on behalf of this homeless man, we were given an attitude in return. Fire this guy read more
