My mom and I absolutely adored this place, they have so many cute odds and ends so the atmosphere is amazing, they have post positivity signs and pro choice and eve free stuff for people who need it! As for the food, it was so delicious! Everything from the breakfast, to the wrap for lunch, to even all the deserts was just so fresh! They' even have fresh sauces made in house that was so good nothing I've ever tasted before! Service was amazing, we were greeted and given time to choose what we wanted, served and offered really nice hospitality. If you're in the area or even a little farther it's so worth coming out here, my mother and I came an hour out to try this place and it was worth the drive. The Cool Joe specialty sandwich is MASSIVE and boasts vegan meat, egg, cheese, bacon, and loads of toppings. It is like a vegan fat breakfast sandwich! They offer up a huge assortment of sandwiches, plates like chicken and waffles, smothered fries, crunchwraps, and even a nice gluten free section. There is a full bakery and cafe and they also do catering! Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed at the outdoor picnic tables right in front of the building. The food was just okay. I was with my boyfriend. He got the tofu scrambled egg biscuit thing, and I got a waffle. He said it was okay but wouldn't order it again. I thought the waffle was fine, but it was very soft, almost pancake-like, not crispy like I would expect of a regular waffle. The ambiance was very cute. You could tell they love animals. Lots of vintage decorations and nostalgia all around. Everytime I looked at the walls, I noticed something new. There are only 2 tables inside and several picnic style tables outside. The bathroom is big enough for a wheelchair. Overall, it's a nice place and I'm glad to eat dairy-free food. I didn't have any issues with the service that other reviews have mentioned. read more

very delicious vegan food, quite an extensive menu... So many choices I had difficulty picking. We ended up getting the chickpea sandwich and the taco mac & cheese.... both were so scrumptious. The ingredients were fresh and tasted like they were expertly prepared. In addition they had tons of bakery goods that all looked so tantalizing, we had a moon pie and a chocolate peanut butter brownie, and they were both out of this world.... as if all this wasn't enough ... the atmosphere was very cute, lots of artwork and felt very homey, and staff was super friendly and helpful..... if you are vegan, you must come check this place out and even if you are not vegan, you will love all the food just the same! read more

The hot food was delicious including the Kale which I've never enjoyed before I tried this one. The Crunchwrap was awesome and not messy at all. Unfortunately the bakery section with the glass baked goods from what we purchased seems to all be on the stale side and the flavors were very mid. Chicken Sammi was good and the alternative "chicken" was delicious with the honey mustard came with a side of kale and chips. The crunch wrap was just okay. I think compared to your taco bell crunch wrap what lacked was the melted cheese and abundance of sour cream alternatives. I live almost an hour away and try to stop by as much as possible...I'm not even vegan, it's just that good. The Bagel with Just Egg 'n Cheese is bangin'. And you know what else is bangin'? Adding temeph bacon and the walnut sausage to it. The loaded biscuits are also amazing. The stuff that takes the cake is the bakery case. And cake is a baked good. So it makes sense. I try to be more plant based and this place randomly came on my radar. We ordered the chicken sandwich and crunch wrap. The chicken is made of seitan, and my first time eating it. Tasted mostly of honey mustard, it oozed out of the seitan. The crunch wrap was a bit dry--maybe the tortilla chips absorbed too much moisture? The kale salad was good on both, though I'd probably rather have passed on the chips and just have had a slightly cheaper price. Food was pretty good overall. Service was a bit cold, though. We were slightly put off by some of the signs around the establishment. I'm all for human rights but there was a particular sign stating, 'put the proud boys in the hospital.' Cat's Luck is consistently awesome. We love both their desserts and their meals. Moving back to NJ last summer, this was one of the first vegan spots we found and have never had a bad experience since. The Italian sandwich is delicious, and I appreciate being able to get a classic pork roll egg and cheese, minus the cruelty. The anisette and sandwich cookies are my favorite! The portions are generous and the atmosphere is super cute, always something cool to look at. The staff is very friendly and patient while we spend way too long trying to decide what treats to get :) and there is quite a variety! Delicious!!!! I went here for the first time today and I had a BLT because everything looks amazing (follow them on Instagram!) I couldn't decide. The sandwich was sooo good as was the side kale salad as well as the lavender shortbread cookie which was the best cookie I've ever had and a moist chocolate cake. I was diagnosed with my dairy allergy 3 years ago and finding good treats is hard. Although I'm not fully vegan, I tend to eat mostly plant based as it's easier with my allergy. This place is a blessing!! The options on their hot menu and the full bakery case is amazing. I didn't try anything from the hot food menu, but I was able to grab a cosmic brownie, banana nut crumb cake, a cinnamon roll, and compost cookie. The cosmic brownie was so good I got nervous for a second because I thought I was eating dairy, LOL! And the crumb cake? Literally blown away. My favorite was the compost cookie, it was a thick and soft on the inside cookie that I've been thinking about since I had it. What's even better is everything is so reasonably priced. From someone who pays so much more for their dairy-free/vegan alternatives this place is so affordable for someone looking for vegan options. Whether you are vegan or not, if you have a sweet tooth or a craving for some delicious junk food you HAVE to visit Michelle and the crew over at Cats Luck. I got a whole box of different goodies and shared them with my non vegan family and they loved it! My personal favorites are the Big Mac Handpie and the Chick'n and Waffles Donut. Michelle also cares about her community... She does cake raffles or other kinds of fundraisers where 100% of the proceeds to directly to local organizations. I'm sorry I really wanted to like this place in terms of food. I love what they are doing for the community but food is meh at best. I got the fried chicken sandwich my sister got the lasagna Crunchwrap and we had a slice of spicy peanut butter cake. The chicken was so thick I had to unhinge my jaw to take a bite and it tasted closer to fake sausage than chicken. My sisters lasagna Crunchwrap has a weird seasoned kale and the tomato sauce was definitely something store bought. The spicy peanut cake was not spicy and extremely dry. Not sure if fresh or just very stale. The little side salad next to the sandwich was good though and chips not bad. read more

Cat's luck is all vegan (bonus!!) and has a super cute set up with art pieces throughout. I stopped by on my way to CT from PA - it added over an hour drive but it was worth it. Their food options are unique, you won't find the typical fries and veggie burger over here and they all sound soooo good! Its difficult to choose what you'd want - so you have to come back and you'll do so gladly! They also had so many yummy looking sweet treats!! I've had semi burnt to under cooked whether its potatoes or anything that needs "toasting." Portion to price ratio is definitely higher than most surrounding locations and when you're paying prices like that you shouldn't need to pick apart your food or push things to the side. Food to order always seems like it's made in a rush but an average to go order is 30 mins plus. Usually, I would wrote a post about certain items a place serves, but I don't know where to start with this place. Try everything at least twice. It's all so good. Their breakfast? Amazing! First and foremost, we are not vegan and absolutely love this bakery. So if you're thinking it's not for you because you're not vegan, think again. 10/10! We absolutely love Cats Luck and have been picking up their baked goods when available at Twisted Tulip (a coffee shop in north NJ!) Now that Cats Luck is on their own in a brand new shop, we took a trip down a few weeks ago and were not disappointed! Well worth the 90 minute drive. I had no clue this place existed until a couple months ago when they had a clothing swap. As soon as we walked in on the day of the swap I knew I liked the vibe of this place. BUT THEN I actually saw the menu. As a vegetarian of 17ish years, I was overwhelmed by the prospect of having actual options to choose from on the menu. Everything is vegan AND delicious?! I got a crunchwrap that first time & have gone back basically every weekend since. It's basically become happy place. Between the delicious comfort food, the really kind staff & the creative array of bakery treats I'm hooked! I've been telling everyone I know irl how obsessed I am & that they need to check it out.
