St Patrick's day a bust! S and S runs a 5 day sale Friday to Tuesday on Cooks corned beef flat and point cut. A 2 per purchase. Sunday day 3 completely sold out and no idea when more arriving. Monday and Tuesday still no items even in other locations. Poor planning poor management. Asked manager Chris at Shirley store for rain check on Sunday and an adamant no we can,t do that we don,t know when we will have again. That is not what people want to hear.Totally unacceptable answer.Went Medford store and amazed at location differs from Shirley. Lighting great and floors clean and tiled. Shopping for my customer, when I arrived to cashier and asked a simple question last night on 4/8/26, her response was rude, obnoxious, nasty, her body language and words were all negative, the old women cashier with dark black hair an the women with blind hair very rude and they were making nasty cments. These two women cashiers should not be working in customer service. They were rude to me and my boy friend and the customer behind us an told the older gentleman customer to use the self check out and when he said he didn't know how she responded it's your problme. We did ask for the manager several times. These two women shall not be working at this supermarket. I will not be retiring here and will spread the word to others about my experience and they shall not shop there. no knowledge and nasty cashiers. read more

Hear me out. It's a stop & shop just like any other. Yes this one is in Shirley. Yes there are odd people & yes I highly recommend shopping with a buddy if you're paranoid bc they ARE the Walmart people of Stop & Shop. 5 stars all the way because Stop & Shop has a whole expansion of their own store brand of food that's actually phenomenal! My highest recommendation are these fries. All of the other fries are good too-- yep I'm a French queen & I demand to know the truths so I've had them all & this is hands down the best! I have also ventured through other store brands just to get here & write this review! RUN to your local Stop & Shop & hunt these bad boys down, get some different dipping sauces & enjoy your Netflix snack! It's the little things in life & this is IT! I'm only writing this review because it's 4am and I'm bored out of my mind. I can't believe people are trashing a stop n shop in Shirley lmfaooooo ....folks it's a stop n shop in shirley...need we say more?!? It has groceries and a parking lot...5 stars man. And if you you want to witness 3 to 4 drug deals going on hang in the parking lot for 20mins. Place is top notch but yea I have my party can (pepper spray) every time I roll up there. read more

The store lost out on over $100 in sales. The internet does not work in this store. I have a gluten-free app I use to check products to make sure the product is gluten-free. Unfortunately, I could not use the app in the store. I purchased only the products I knew were gluten-free. read more

So disappointing this location seems to be anti recycling. They close the recycling area early and suggested I just dump my bags out front when I spoke to customer service. #sad read more

I have been a long time customer of this store. I will not be going back despite its convenience to my home. the store was crowded, dirty , dark, and the aisles were blocked with merchandise making it difficult to navigate with a shopping cart. only one register was open , the rest self service. self service made several mistakes and i needed help from the one girl there to help customers several times. she seemed annoyed that I needed assistance. many items were not on the shelves and the prices are outrageous. what a shame that the store has deteriorated. just as an aside I hate digital coupons! read more

I was very disappointed. Today I went to the store in person. I ordered 24 piece of fried chicken. I asked if I could have it 4-4:30. I was told no. I usually call them around 11am for the same day without an issue. Then I was told if it was a little later they could do it. I said, fine. I was told to go back at 5:30. Usually when I pick it up it's very hot. It was just warm l should have left it and just walked out. Another time it was 6 days before the 4th. I put in a chicken order. They told me they couldn't do it because the 4th was coming. I'm like, what? I said I want it today not for the 4th. So I ordered from another store that was 30 minutes away. I don't understand what type of people do they have working there! I think management should read these comments. Do something about their issues. It's time for another supermarket. read more

This place has kept going downhill for a while and now the latest is if you decide to shop early be prepared for self checkout since cashiers are a luxury earlier in the morning. Not to sound lazy but it does take extra time thumbing through the screen for produce and other items plus bagging becomes awkward with little room.And with what is going on you have to make sure you wipe the cart handles down which they do supply the sanitizing wipes but they are inside the store so you get the untreated cart outside and whatever is on that is now on you. This is the Shirley location- and you do come across rude unfriendly workers here in certain departments.King Kullen and Lidl are much nicer stores in the same area. read more

I will never shop this Stop and Shop in Shirley/Mastic again. I usually shop Hicksville Stop and Shop and never have a problem, the employees in Hicksville are warm, friendly and helpful. But not Shirley/Mastic!!! I must say the gentleman in the produce Dept was great! Friendly and helpful. However I moved over to the meat department with my mask on and following the arrows on the floor. I stopped to look at the chop meat and the women putting the meat out in the case started yelling at me. Other customers turned to look and see what the Big scene was about. She was insisting I was stepping into her barricaded space. I leaned a little over to read the meat package. When I asked her what barricade she pointed to a little box on the floor. She was being ridiculous. I suggested the company to buy her a yellow foldable pen to put around her that would be noticeable. Well the nasty comments that came out of her mouth were very unprofessional. At this point other customers came to my rescue and defended me that I had done nothing wrong. Mind you I had leaned my had over to my left about 8 inches to read a meat package. Me not noticing a ten inch box on the floor. After this Commotion calmed down I went over to the register for the next rude employee of Stop and Shop. I went to self check out and tried to ring up three loose heads of garlic, however I could not get the register to weigh them and was charge $2.97 for three heads of garlic. I tried to explain to the employee that garlic is weighted and sold by the pound. Not buy the piece unless it's a bag of garlic. The receipt showed 3@.99. The employee said it is by the pound that's why it's $2.97 not $3. I explained 3 x 99 equals $2.97. That's not weight. Besides it says 3@99. She gets the manager and her answer is garlic is not sold by the pound but by the Clove!? I gave up paid and left. I will never go to this Stop and Shop again. I recommend stay away. Try another supermarket. There's a supermarket two minutes west on Montauk and William Floyd. I am giving one star for the gentleman in the produce Dept and one star for cleanliness, other then that read more
