The service behind the courtesy counter is absolutely disgusting. I witnessed a blonde woman yelling at an elderly woman and being so nasty. Her tone, attitude and body posture was absolutely ridiculous. how do they think treating customers that way is okay? That blonde woman was acting like a child in so many ways I was really disgusted. Prices are exorbitant. The customer stink like smoke and body odor! Whoever is in charge of the produce department needs to be tarred and feathered! How can they display asparagus and not place them in water?!? The lack of education of the employees that work in the produce department is just sad. Those poor asparagus. Went for balloons and the person was not there so they got someone from the meat department to take care of me, we didn't even make it to the car and lost two balloons as they didn't tie the ribbon to them. $15 balloon and it was gone in 60 seconds because they didn't tie it. Purchased 7 lbs pork loin package which was not cheap. Returned it the next day cause I picked up the wrong type of pork. I am at customer service and while I was being processed for a refund. The Butcher was very rude telling me he will accept the return this time but not next time. I asked him why, he replied the date on the package expired today. I asked him why the butcher shop is selling pork products that will expire the next day? He never gave me an answer and walked away. Customers should not be treated and talked at in the manner. The King Kullen stores are very expensive and customer service is unbelievably poor. We the customers is the reason this store is in business and the butcher is working. We deserve better treatment. I wrote a review previously about King Kullen but unfortunately it's on my old account and i dont have any login information. Anyway, the review I wrote months ago was three stars and this one is 4. I feel the need to write this because customer service is important to me. The young lady who was my cashier this evening was so pleasant, smiled, engaged the customer before me and myself in conversation and she was also very friendly to her fellow employees. This area needs more of that and I was just so happy to see true customer service from a young person in our town. I didn't catch her name but she had long blonde hair and was working on Monday July 23rd around 7:30pm. Please give that girl a raise! read more

I usually don't shop at king kullen. I needed something, I go in, the one guy is using the floor buffer machine, which must be broken because it's so loud I can't think. The only open register is being operated by a 17 year old and when I explained that my item was priced incorrectly, they had to call the manager over. The line is growing behind me and the floor buffer is really on my nerves. The manager is now in the aisle, telling me something about the price,I don't know what because the floor buffer is deafening. The line is growing behind me. On the one register that's actually open. I honestly left without my purchase because I hate being the guy that holds up the line for a dollar, but I'm not going to let this store overcharge me. This is the only supermarket that carries my favorite pasta sauce - Rao's Filetto Di Pomodoro. It's expensive, but if you have Italian tastes and want something quick to cook some meatballs in and have dinner, it's the best. I shop at this King Kullen for my specialty meats. Sometimes Best Food just doesn't have what I'm looking for, or was sold out of it - but King Kullen seems to have a butcher who is up on his game. I like that it's clean - and the bakery items (especially the large pumpernickel loaf) are baked same day and are fresh. I like some of their pastries, especially if you get there early, you can get piping hot croissants! The deli is also pretty careful with how they serve you, although you may have to wait behind a customer ordering for an army. The produce is okay, but they used to have more. I have no idea why they cut done on it so drastically. Wish they offered more in the pre-made bagged salads. Slightly higher-priced than other supermarkets, but good service. read more

This place is just okay. They usually have what I need and they are closest to my home, but their prices are a little over the top for no reason. I went in there last night and had to ask the manager on duty a question that the cashier couldn't answer (which is totally fine, I understand that) so I walk over to where the manager is. He was in the middle of a conversation with some friends who happen to be customers so I patiently waited (again, fine). Then he said his goodbyes to them and began walking quickly to the front of the store. I flagged him down and as I asked my question he continued to walk as he answered my question. I really didn't appreciate the lack of acknowledgement of another human being who is asking a simple question. It would have been nice if he would have stopped walking, made eye contact and didn't seem so rushed. He wasn't mean, but just a little unprofessional. Maybe it was a bad night or there was a lot going on, but taking an extra 30 seconds to stand still and have a dialogue wouldn't have killed anyone. read more
