This is a great pawn shop I came over to sell my baseball cards and comic books that I had for years and I think I got a great deal for them. They were pretty friendly and explanatory. I would recommend to anyone who wants to sell their stuff. read more

This store also sells items on ebay that are not correctly described. When I tried to return the item (listing states returns within 14 days), I received a very delayed response. The response was rude (horrible customer service) and very vague. I am till awaiting my credit back to my account and it has now been 7 weeks. read more

Additionally, I returned to sell some gold pieces that didn't fit and some I just don't wear and again was given great prices for selling. Global also sells jewelry such as some Tiffany pieces and other lovely gems. It's nice to know that there is a trusted local jeweler who can assist me with repairs, selling, etc. Elad is very professional and trustworthy. I highly recommend Global Gold and Silver.

Eventually, I spoke to a worker of sorts, the owner possibly, and he was very argumentative and refused to acknowledge that a customer was having a bad experience. Perhaps they need to revisit their business practices and ensure the integrity of open hours. A true jeweler would recognize the importance of communicating that an item is safely at the shop. However this individual, a Russian accent, was unnecessarily nasty and wanted to continue arguing. I was getting worried that this place closed down and I wouldn't ever be able to get my jewelry back, it was that bad.

I visited the store on a couple of occasions with him as well and noticed dirty looks given to me by an African-American lady. A couple of months ago I needed to ask them a questions and went to the place alone. I got barked at by the same woman: "Have your husband call me if you have questions! HE deals with us, not YOU!" I was very upset and thought of how rude she was. I suspected discrimination agains me being white! Upon returning home, I shared my observations and thoughts with my husband. He could not believe it! Today we had to go to the store again. The same person gave me a dirty look again but nicely greeted my husband. She offered us a price for our jewelry and, despite her attitude, I nicely asked her if she could go a bit higher. In response I received another bark: "This is it!!!" I left the store in tears and went to the car... When my husband returned, he told me that I was absolutely right about her. He noticed the same attitude towards me! Moreover, when I left the store, the lady put her index finger to her lips (for him to be quiet, since there was another employee in the store) and offered him $50.00 more than before. I cannot believe we, living in 21st Century, still have to go through this!

By far the best pawn shop in all of NYC!!! The guys are fantastic and the rates are extremely reasonable. They work with you if you're a little late with payment in retrieving your pawned items. I'm very glad I found them and will continue to use them when needed. Friendly, courteous and very nice guys. Did business with the owner in this location a few times, all I can say is this guy is a state up guy and knows exacty what he is doing when it comes to purchasing item, he is very professional and polite. I sold him my sports Memorabilia and he gave me a fair price on my goods. Would recommend this place if you're in bay ridge area. Ps. This pawn shop has a lot of cool stuff to look at. I don't know what these other people are saying - they must be friend with this horrid man - I was forced to pawn a platinum necklace that was a special gift - when I went to retrieve it a few months later, within the allotted time, it was GONE - and the owner was rude and nasty - I am going to contact the BBB or Consumer Affairs and report him.
