Overall it was an easy, chill transaction. He shared he was offering $70/g but as it was explained to me: that can change and also depends on how much you're selling. I'm no expert. Did I do a lot of research? Not really. But Mike seemed genuine, wasn't pushy and didn't give off a "tryna get you" vibe. If you're looking to sell or even buy secondhand jewelry, I definitely recommend swinging by and chatting with Mike. Store wasn't busy on a Thursday, early afternoon.

I needed a one week loan for a few thousand bucks, after he charged the EXORBITANT vig which I agreed to, I promptly show up to pay him and get my chain back. immediately, the chain I have worn for over 25 years feels different to the touch. The clasp is way flatter than my fingers remember it feeling and the spring mechanism is partially visible in a way it wasn't when I left it. there was also a line like scraped onto the clasp that wasnt there before. this guy, Jacob had switched out my HIGH QUALITY BIGGER CLASP for something slightly smaller, flatter and defective. when taken to another place to repair bc it ended up getting messed up, the spring mechanism, inside the clasp looked SUPER CLEAN.... and when I took it to another jeweler, the new jeweler confirmed that CLASP and chain were a DIFFERENT TYPE OF GOLD. to go to such lengths to steal a third of a gram of gold is low and unprofessional. I would never buy or repair anything there and I certainly wouldn't pawn anything ever again. avoid this guy!!!
