I have been fighting with Ashland Self Storage in Atlantic Beach since January of 2024 over a…read morerental charge that occurred as a result of their not stopping auto-payment when I advised them of my move out well in advance of moving. I WALKED INTO THE FACILITY AND SPOKE WITH THE STAFF directly and scheduled my move out. The parent company has refused for close to a year to refund my money or even a pro-rated amount of it. Instead they continue to push back. I will not be using this facility again EVER. More of my time and their time greater than the amount in question has been spent, just so that they can have the last word. I've started using Extra Space. Much nicer and cleaner facilities and less cost. Check them out.

Unfortunately, there are some things you just can't get rid of, so you can drop off your baggage here and walk away. Atlantic Storage can't make that thing that you did that you wish you'd never done go away (of course I mean all those coats that you HAD to have), but they can take them out of site and out of mind until you can rejustify why you bought them in the first place. There are attendants on-site until 7pm daily, but the major advantage over other options in the area is that you can access your unit 24/7 with a pin code. Atlantic Storage is a little on the pricey side, but all units are interior, air tight and air conditioned which is a must in Florida whether you're storing skeletons, winter clothes or both.

I checked out a U-Haul van for about 2 hours. The only hard thing about using the van was moving items that my friend gave me as my friend is selling their house to move out-of-state. The only negative, why only 4 stars, is that the location can be somewhat hard to get in and/or out of due to it being located right off of Mayport Road. This road is a busy road, so caution is advised when going to or leaving this location. It seems the previous raters were from 2 to 3 years ago. It also seems their customer service has greatly improved. After the positive experience that I had, I would say that is correct. If you have moving or storage needs, go check out this location.

To save time, Atlantic Self Storage will take the apt abbreviation (ASS). ASS caters to all of your storage needs. ASS houses small units and large units. Units of all shapes and sizes, in fact. This ASS, in particular, is entirely indoors and provides 24-hour access. ASS even offers online payment. Where else you gonna find an ASS like that?! I kid, I kid. The owners are a husband and wife duo that care about their tenants. Genuinely, they looked out for my best interests. In a day in age where storage units can be an utter pain in the ass, it's nice to find a place that doesn't complicate my life.
