I would give it no stars or minus stars if I could. The office is never open during supposed business hours. The rates are "highway robbery" through the roof. When I moved out I was told they only pro rate if you move out at the beginning of the month (I moved out on the 22nd of the month) and if you give notice. They are sheisters. They don't upkeep the facility and dirt and dust travels underneath the doors into your unit because they do not maintain the seals on the bottom of the doors. Easily the worst place that I have to visit regularly. This StorageMart used to be $84/month and has skyrocketed to $160+ in just a few years. It's sketchy, it's frigid in the winter, and it's a miserable experience every single time I go in here. I want to go into a ton of detail, but at the same time, I don't want to waste my energy on it. I'm just temporarily shackled to this spot but am excited to get out from under it. If they come across this and want a positive, workable suggestion it would be to have trash/recycling available, even with an up-charge. I would pay a fee to be able to unload some things there, or even work with a junk removal company. Other than that, try using more than a lump of coal in the winter, stop letting people take over the whole load-in area, clean the bathroom, hire a better exterminator, and quit overcharging for a tiny storage space. read more

After half a year of using this location for storage that I visit a few times a month, I decided it was time for a change of location. Back in March of 2021 when I first started frequenting this StorageMart, I thought that although it was a bit "worn" around the edges it wasn't so bad. It seemed to adequately meet my needs. Things promptly started to go downhill the day I was there long enough, sorting and organizing, that I needed to use their restroom. First of all, you have to go to the front desk to ask for a key, during which time the manager will ask you to leave this location a good Google review. You'll have some laughs about how you have already reviewed etc. and then he'll give you the key (yes this will happen any and every time you ask the front desk any questions at all). After this you will walk to the restroom and if you're like me, you'll find the restroom not only unsanitary beyond measure, but also complete with dead roaches, and zero toilet paper. Don't worry they have paper towels left out for you. Awesome. After this moment I never used this restroom again, I instead would walk over to Messenger Coffee, purchase a drink, and use their restroom as they keep it operational. The bathroom and constant ask for reviews alone would drive me to seek out a new location, but aside from those things, I will add that this location does at some points in time feel unsafe. I don't say this lightly as I know that can be a ridiculous thing to say. I've never felt unsafe around folks I've seen in the StorageMart but the flickering lights and lack of care give it an ominous feel. I would not ever go here after dark. On my last day as I was packing up and wondering if it was really worth all this hassle to relocate all my stuff, I emerged on the second floor (where my unit was), and was greeted by the dim lights, and a STRONG smell of marijuana. Now I'm not throwing shade any anyone that partakes in smoking, it was after all just passed as legal in MO, but to have it be that pungent told me someone, somewhat recently, had been using that StorageMart to hang out and get high. As someone there alone, it did make me feel a bit on edge, and I had no regrets packing up and getting out of Dodge. read more

I rented a unit on line for my father but when we went in they made it VERY easy to switch from my name to my dad's. No one likes moving. They like storing things even less. So if you had to store your things in a facility wouldn't you want the people to really jump to make you feel more at ease? Then let me tell you about Lisa at Storage Mart. I had to store some thing recently and went to Storage Mart as they had a 99% first month discount. When I got there, I realized this building was one of the old paper warehouses for the Star. When I went in, I met Lisa, the Assistant manager of the facility. She was warm, welcoming, and exceedingly helpful. She very quickly got me into a unit. paperwork was very simple and easy and when I came back at 5 minutes to 6 and needed a cart, she said go ahead and she would be there. That is true customer service. The facility is super clean, state of the art, keypad secured and provides entry from 7 Am until 9 PM daily. I lucked into the temp controlled units in the basement which were very nice and super clean. the elevator is brand new and a we small for those super big items, but still it moved slow, yet very efficiently. I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

What are the criteria for judging a storage unit? I mean, how does ANY storage unit invoke the excitement necessary to bestow upon them a 5 star rating? I have no clue, so StorageMart, it's 4 stars for you. All in all, this place is solid. The location is incredibly convenient for the downtown set. They have a wide selection of sizes available, and they're at a reasonable price. The place seems clean and safely secured. Also, they offer a Yelp Check-In offer that can save you a ton of money on moving supplies. I'm definitely keeping that tip in mind the next time I need oodles of boxes and tape. An awesome touch that not all storage units offer is that they will allow you to have things delivered directly to the complex and they'll put it directly into your unit. A great convenience. One small ding? The elevator is SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWW. They're supposedly having this fixed soon, but that means for a couple of months you'll have to go up and down the stairs. Thankfully I don't store much that's all that heavy. So yeah. If you have stuff and want to put it somewhere, I'd say StorageMart is a good place to do so. read more

My husband and I have been pleased with Storage Mart. Mike, the manager, has been helpful arranging the extra unit we needed. He's always been available to answer questions. The place is clean, well lit, and I feel safe entering the building by myself. We chose the Storage Mart on Grand because it was convenient and it is climate controlled. They have units in different sizes and it was not difficult for the movers to move our furniture into the units. There is only one elevator, but we have rarely had to wait. We did rent a post office box , and a package was supposed to be delivered to the box. I gave Mike the tracking number and I checked on it frequently. I wouldn't use the post office boxes. The mail is delivered to Storage Mart and then they are responsible for putting the mail in the boxes. Other than the post office box, we have been very pleased with Storage Mart. read more

I was moving to an apartment that would not permit my large antique furniture to move. I needed to store the furniture until I could get it sold. Storage Mart worked with me to get the storage unit that would be the best fit. They even help me pick out the best lock and insurance package to protect the furniture while it was in storage. He was very apologetic and explained that a new manager on-site did not respond to the situation in as timely a manner as it could have been. I accepted his apology...realizing that "we were all new" at some point in our careers. I LOVE THIS STORAGE FACILITY & THE MANAGER--LISA!! This Storage Mart is very conveniently located, directly across from the Star, on Grand. The facility is climate controlled, has state of the art security system, great lighting and is very clean! I feel completely safe and secure. The elevator is new, has plenty of room for multiple pallets of stuff. I do a lot of shipping to and from my unit. Even though my unit is upstairs, it is very easy access. My freight company said they like this facility, as well. I love the facility, but the best part of this Storage Mart is the staff! Lisa has been extremely helpful, kind and warm. She is an expert in customer service! I highly recommend this StorageMart! Great location, great facility and exceptionally great staff! read more

Renters beware! I have two outdoor storage units rented for business and personal storage. In December, we found boxes and lidded plastic containers opened between visits to the units. An approximately twelve inch gap exists at the top of one of the metal wall panels of one unit. We found a bath towel thrown over the edge on one occasion. After taking photos of our belongings, we returned to find things tampered with and a book set missing. My husband spoke to the location manager about closing the opening. She told him she would check with the regional manager and then never called us back. My husband then went to the facility to show the manager the opening and was told the regional manager said we assumed the unit as is and refused to close it up. I believe we had a reasonable expectation that our belongings would be safe when paying for storage in a commercial facility. Although the location is convenient to our house, we will be taking our business elsewhere. read more
