We asked them since they put us in this ridiculous site to not rent the other buddy site with hundreds of available spots THEY WERE RUDE RUDE RUDE and deliberately placed 2 separate rv's back to back. There is very little space at this KOA as it is let alone park a neighbor I don't know face to face. THIS KOA IS A 100% joke save yourself a lot of heart ache do not come here. We are full timers traveling all over the U.S. and this is theeeee worst worst idiotic incompetent sloppy nasty campground we've ever been to hands down. If your visiting Indianapolis pick a better campground your not missing anything here. We're leaving 5 days early. By the way they have children running the office and I warned them ahead of time this is not the site we wanted. They could have avoided this but there backwoods mentality can't comprehend

They lie about having full coverage on internet and their entire park the internet is sparse at best you'll need a mobile hotspot to get connected. Another good note is their prices are fair and reasonable their services are available as they say except for the internet just the unprofessionalism is astounding to me. This is what happens when you let a rich little girl that never work a day in our life run an operation like this. However despite all my criticism and my dislike for the management I would say that this is a decent safe quiet place to stay for your family just the unprofessionalism is unacceptable to me. The issues really started to arise the second day we were here and her helper co owner I don't know came and beat on the camper door because my truck tire was an inch into the mud next to the gravel and blame me for having to repair 4 inches of mud where the grass was gone which was clearly done way before we got here. Then we complained about the lack of Internet and it all went downhill from there instead of addressing these problems they chose to chastise us and treat us as lower than them which is not the case. Overall it seems like if you don't mind kissing their ass you'll be just fine here. We were here for 4 months. But I will say again it was not a bad place to stay I think it was just a misunderstanding between intelligent people and spoiled people. Good luck with your journey. The photo included shows how Petty this entire thing was and I didn't do it it was there when we got here. They beat on the door of the camper and scared the crap out of my wife while I was sleeping after work. The man whoever he is yelled at my wife about how he had to fix this and tag my truck whatever that's supposed to mean.

After a while, I put the truck in the park, walked to the office, and see there's a checkin box. Grabbed our info and started walking back to the truck and see 5 other people waiting to get in (people who live there). Never been to a park that doesn't have someone working on a Saturday or a sign saying chekin info is at office. Other than that the place was very nice. The spot we got was long and wide. The laundry room was big and everything was working. The bathrooms were nice and clean but it was funny they had a sign about not providing paper towels cause someone was putting them in the toilet. Overall nice place.

This place is clean, fun ,easy to use and full of great family friendly events and activities. As I sit poolside I can see from here, kids lined up for tempory tattoos, a magician doing tricks, they are cooking burgers and dogs for guest with live music poolside. That's just in this small part of the place. This is our first time here! We are really impressed! Clean shower houses , friendly staff lots of things to do. We do recommend.

To make matters worse, they double-charged us for our stay. I have already notified them and provided proof of the error, yet they still have not returned my money. If you want to read a more in-depth review of why we won't be back, I've posted the details below. First off, booking was a nightmare, they were incredibly hard to reach, and when we finally got someone on the phone, they acted rushed and annoyed. We had requested a specific site and were told it was confirmed, but when we checked in, they put us somewhere else. We didn't make a deal out of it because we just wanted to get settled, but it was just the start of the issues. We chose this place specifically for the "Family Fun Park," but it didn't live up to the hype, most of the equipment looked like old, second-hand carnival rides. The staff's behavior toward our kids was just bizarre. They were incredibly aggressive about enforcing odd rules, even when no one else was waiting. They told us our 3 year olds had to get off the bounce house because of a 5 minute timer when nobody was even waiting or wanting to get on. Later that night our 3 year old was told to get off a bounce house after 5 minutes, and later, a staff member actually ran right past her dad to yell at my daughter that the bounce house was closed, which just terrified her. It was not a welcoming environment for families. As for the billing issue, I've been in contact with the owner, Jay, for weeks. He even asked if I had Zelle so he could refund it, and I said yes, but I still haven't received a dime. It's unbelievable that a business would make their customers go through a formal bank dispute (which takes 60-90 days) instead of just doing the right thing and sending the money back after being shown proof of the mistake. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

However, the campground is odd. The sites are incredibly tight, there is virtually no grass, and there really isn't anything to do for kids (no playground, trails, etc) outside of the pay lake, which is on the expensive side. We stayed here passing through Indianapolis, and it was a good location to explore the city. As far as camping goes, it feels more like a trailer park then a campground. Most of the "campers" here are permanent residents. That being said, I would probably stay here again, if for no other reason than the price.

We were about 4000 miles when we had our Indy Lakes experience. Truck was running great and other than being dirty from driving the Alaska highway, through Canada and 5 States was looking good. It had been a long day of driving. We decided to look for an RV Park in Indianapolis for an overnight stay. I called Indy Lakes. A woman, whose name I don't recall answered the phone. I asked if there was space available for my motor home. She asked the length of our RV and then asked the year. I told her that it was a 1994. She curtly told me that the Park only allowed RVs that are 2005 or newer. I had never encountered a refusal like this so I asked why. She told me that was Park policy. But why I asked. She told me it was for "aesthetics". I told her my RV was older but in very good shape. Her response, it was older than 2005 and was not allowed. She said other Parks in the area have the same policy. I told her that I was a disabled veteran and my wife and I were pretty beat and I just needed a place to stay for one night. Our situation and my status didn't seem to matter and she replied that our RV must be newer. A little frustrated I thanked her and hung up. My wife was shaking her head as she listened to our conversation. I decided to call her back. I asked what would happen if a 2006 RV showed up and did not meet their subjective aesthetic standards. I was told that they would also be turned away. That would mean that any RV, no matter what the year, could be turned away. Her arrogance and condescension was palpable. Surprised, I asked if they also had an age restriction and was preparing to ask another question when she exclaimed something and hung up on me. What I was going to ask is what if a disabled Vet showed up in a Pre-2005 RV that was not new but not trashy, and had been reconfigured to accommodate his/her disability, Would that RV also be turned away? Based on her response to me the aesthetics of the RV would be the determining factor. I respect a business to conduct business as they see fit. But I was very surprised at the representative's attitude to our situation and status. I took my money elsewhere. Given her total disregard for a veteran with disabilities I hope others do the same...

Has anyone done this while trying to shower a young child? Terrible if you have long hair and trying to shampoo. Let's be honest you pay double at Jellystone, pay extra for everything that comes free at other campgrounds like the bouncy pillows, let me adjust the water temp and take a hot shower. The water in shower has lots of iron, potable water my daughter said tasted like blood lol (that's the iron) If you are traveling with kids through the area, you want the pool to be open late, there isn't a lifeguard on duty anyway. Let parents have access to the pool so we can swim with our kids that have been seatbelted for hours. That would make a campground family friendly not Cute characters. Other wise most of the staff was very friendly and facilities clean. Gaga ball was very fun late at night but bring your own kickball or volleyball. Because the office closed at 5 pm and so does most everything else including cornhole. But if you don't mind paying extra for all the fun activities you get free at other campgrounds (we camp a lot, just camped from Ohio to Montana, and Ohio to Wyoming) and have are staying more than one night it's a nice clean place, was definitely the most expensive we camped at in our 3 weeks of camping nightly.
