Cinnamon brown sugar latte & roll
    Jessica P.

I stopped in on the advice of a neighboring store and the exclamation that they had the best cinnamon rolls, ever! When I asked the barista for a recommendation she said the cinnamon brown sugar latte was popular, so I chose that. They only had day old cinnamon rolls or raspberry bars, so I went with the cinnamon roll. It was ooookkaaaaay. Nothing too great & maybe that's because it was day old (and reheated). The latte was super yummy though and I'd return for that if I'm in the area. Very unassuming store with little decoration but decent seating areas.

Such an adorable little coffee shop. I got their house coffee and a cinnamon bun and both were fantastic. The owners are super friendly as well! They have seating and you could definitely bring your laptop and get some work done out of here if you wanted.

Cappuccino. Real cups are coming soon.

Storied Coffee is new, and they are doing things right. More importantly, they are headed in the right direction. It's going to be interesting to watch this small shop grow. And grow it shall, because it feels like this little spot in Scotia is starting to attract a crowd. I love good coffee, and Storied Coffee makes it the way I like. One of my pet peeves about even better coffee shops is how the espresso machine is set up so customers cannot view their shots being pulled. It's far too common a sight, and it robs the coffee lover of both the beauty of watching the crema cascade out of the portafilter, in addition to the knowledge of whether the shot was well made even before taking the first sip. Storied Coffee has their machine set up in full view of the ordering counter, and they've got their coffee dialed in. There is still a little bit of work needed to get up to that fifth star, but that will come when ceramic cups arrive, and the little flourishes like latte art come off as effortlessly as expressing their passion for coffee. This duo loves coffee, and it shows. Apparently the boba tea is also excellent, and I look forward to exploring more of the menu as time goes on. I was also offered a taste of a coffee curiosity called Elixir Specialty Coffee. It's sold in bottles, and it isn't cheap. But it looks like a fun thing to try. Unfortunately, I had to leave and didn't get a chance. Looks like I'll have to come back! WiFi works great. There are small tables up front, a couple of big ones in the back. There are seats set up on the sidewalk for nice days. The bathroom is clean. Vegan and gluten free treats are kept on hand for those who need them. And I'm told those ceramic cups are on the way! Great coffee places need time to grow, and a supportive community to nurture them along the way. Storied Coffee has all the ingredients it needs to be the five star coffee spot that could put Scotia on the map. Ten years ago, it would already have been the best coffee spot in the Capital Region. These days, we're lucky to have a lot of great places for a good cappuccino. But for now, this is my favorite spot for coffee in Schenectady county. Bravo to Christine and Rich for this labor of love.

Cute spot. Moderate prices. Clean. Friendly service. No parking lot or parking on the street but can go across the street to park in the community lot. Cinnabons looked delicious, ordered 2. Asked for them to be warmed but was told "they probably still Are". They were cold. Very heavy on the cream cheese frosting and unfortunately mine was burnt (crunching on the bread until I got ate the outside) but the other was cooked great. They were heavy and we were unable to finish them. We ended up taking them home and heating them up in the air fryer and it was perfection. Ordered caramel latte but they were out of caramel, got hazelnut. My boyfriend enjoyed it. Unfortunately they messed up the first order and made it iced. They then made a hot so a little more time waiting. Ordered a cold brew with cinnamon sugar and splash of half of half and used real cinnamon sugar mixture which was a nice touch. Tasted good. Both coffees were on the smaller size side. Cost about $20 with tip.

This is a lovely place. This area needs neighborhood coffee shops like this. Perfect for picking up an order or hanging around by yourself or with a few friends. I've been many times and am always glad to see the shop bustling with other patrons. There's a good amount of seating inside and a few benches/tables outside. I'm a tea drinker and all the teas I've gotten here have been delicious. They offer a variety of teas outside of the typical shop that have me coming back for more. I hope others continue to order them as well so that they remain on the menu! My favorite drinks: Cherry Blossom Milk Tea (my absolute new favorite flavor), Black Milk Tea, Thai Iced Tea, and Sparkling Cherry Blossom Limeade. As far as food, I've gotten their breakfast sandwiches and bagels, chicken salad sandwich, and donuts from Cider Belly in Albany. Two thumbs up for all. One new addition that I hope they keep: homemade cinnamon rolls! Trust me, they are to die for. I have started ordering takeout via the Cloosiv app (app for ordering ahead from local coffee shops). It's super easy and a great way to support local businesses, especially during this covid time. An employee brought my order to my car.

Friendly, low key and good coffee. A small town, comfortable place to meet and talk in Scotia, NY

Two friends and I stopped by Storied Coffee after seeing a movie in Scotia ("The Lost City" - Meh). It's a small café with friendly ownership (say hi to Rich), and excellent coffee. It was late in the day, so their baked goods were few and far between. They had a good gluten-free blueberry muffin. The coffee was excellent. And, it's small but has a relaxing atmosphere. Some music, but not too loud. (Thank you).

Amazing coffee. It takes a while to be made and the sizes are small, but the quality is unbelievable. They have a nice selection of vegan and local baked goods including cider belly doughnuts and gluten free options. The breakfast bombs are huge and the owners are so incredibly nice and helpful. Don't expect fast coffee, but expect quality.

    Baked goods... yummy yummy

This is by far the best coffee house I've been to. They have great drink selections and a ton of delicious pastries/baked goods brought in from top notch bakeries like Alexander's bakery, Cider belly doughnuts, and Manhattan bagels. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The Boba tea is legit and the breakfast bombs are fantastic. Bacon/egg/cheese or just egg/cheese baked inside a biscuit shell. This is definitely my new favorite spot.

Thai ice tea . Sooo yummmm!

This was a new "gem", very happy that I found this cafe. The drinks, service, and food is really good. I can't wait to go back

This was my first time here. I've seen a lot of good reviews, so I wanted to try it. I tried the boba tea. The bobs was a little undercooked as it had a chewier texture to it. The tea was okay, it was probably half tea and half milk. A lot "milkier" than I am use to for it being a milk tea. They were running low on the tapioca Pearl boba, and I was asked if it was ok to have half the amount. As it was what I came in for, I said that was fine. I was not expecting to still pay full price for it. For it being $6 a tea, I was expecting more. I would not come back here for boba tea as there are better options in the area and I think they missed the mark. They do have coffee and food, which may be good. The person working behind the counter was friendly. Service was a little slower. I didn't think it was well marked as I drove by it and had to walk back to try finding it after finding street parking.

Chocolate raspberry muffin, breakfast bomb & dirty chia.

So excited to have a place like this in our area! It is still very new so you can tell they are settling in. It was busy and they handled it great! The space is good - decent amount of seating and it looks like they are setting it up so you can sit outside as well. The dirty chia was great, not too sweet and perfect temperature. The milky oolong tea was SO good. My husband drinks oolong almost every day and it said it was the best he's had. The menu is small but we saw bagels, muffins, cookies and cinnamon rolls in the case. I got a chocolate raspberry muffin and they offered to heat it up for me which was awesome. We also got the breakfast bomb which looked small but it was filling. It's like a breakfast sandwich IN a flaky biscuit. The owners were very nice and you can tell they are happy to be there. Excited to see what they do with the space.

The sweets available looked great, so it was hard to select. I chose a Blueberry Scone for myself and a Danish for my husband. The scone was crumbly, buttery tasting, and full of blueberries. The Danish was flaky and so freshly made. Both delicious treats were packaged nicely for takeout. Service is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The owner was present and gracious. It is a fitting store for the pre-dead Rotterdam Mall; it is a news stand, which (please see photographic evidence I have provided herein) has no news for sale. (Perhaps it is a Godotesque purgatory; the two proprietors did have an Estragon and Vladimir air about them.) It is a micro, tiny, teensy weensy midget convenience store, with bad snack food and drinks and some hot coffee by the cup, and many many many lottery tickets for sale, this latter seemingly the source of the bulk of their business.
