Every time we spoke on the phone (on SEVERAL occasions), she would always ask us how we were feeling and soothe our nerves when it came down to all the details. Let me be more concrete in the examples in which Lauren and her team handled well: - The Cake: Four Seasons agreed to do a dairy-free cake for us since my husband is allergic to dairy products; however, without dairy, the cake turned out to be a disaster. The cake had to be sent back to the pastry chef four times and almost collapsed at one point! Lauren went to bat for us! She immediately contacted the Four Seasons coordinator and straightened everything out! We got a cake, received our money back for the wedding cake and a huge apology from Four Seasons. Of course, this was all behind the scenes and Lauren told me as soon as we were done taking pictures and everything was solved! Let me say, I love how Lauren handled this situation because she made sure that the situation was under control before notifying me AND she did not keep me out of the loop (yes, I was one of those brides that wanted to know if a disaster happened). - Timing: Weddings go by so quickly, Lauren was on top of her game when it came to each minute and the timeline of our schedule! I love how organized she was when it came down to our schedule. - The Wedding Dress: My beautiful satin wedding dress was unfortunately wrinkled during transportation. Lauren and her team were trying to steam it out to no avail. With time running out, she immediately handled it with the hotel and had my dress pressed and steamed within 20 minutes. - Presence: Lauren had several people on her team. While Lauren was consistently running around, she made sure that one of her assistants was with me and my girls at all times. Yes, so many things did not go according to plan at our wedding and only people like Lauren would be able to transform all these disasters into a beautiful wedding. We hired Lauren for the day of wedding coordination package and were more than pleased with the services she and her team provided. My husband and I had nearly 300 friends and family members in attendance for our special day. We were married at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center's James Irvine garden. We had our reception in the courtyard in front of the Japanese American Theater. The JACCC provided a wedding coordinator, but we had personality conflicts with her. Lauren was amazing and was able to communicate with the on-site coordinator and our vendors to make sure that everything ran smoothly on our special day. Lauren met with us prior to the wedding to make sure that we knew what we needed to have done. She also communicated with our bridal party and families to make sure they also knew when and where they needed to be. Overall, if information was needed, Lauren made sure it was communicated and done so clearly. The night before the wedding, I slept easily, because I knew that we were in good hands. Upon arriving at the wedding site to get ready, I felt confident that our wedding day was going to be everything we hoped for and more. Lauren and her team made sure to take care of everything they said they would and calmly handled any problems. Julie showed up on time and set up a beautiful picnic for us in about 45 minutes, we started our picnic a few minutes late so she gave us extra time which I thought was nice. She wore a face covering and gloves and her set up was clean. We found Stephanie through referrals from my wife's coworkers and she also was on the preferred vendor list for the Grand Gimeno. One of those coworkers said "I would get married again just to have Stephanie help me plan (and coordinate) my wedding." We were sold! We reached out about 9-10 months before our set wedding date and inquired about day-of-coordinator services. Stephanie was very personable from the start and organized, sending us a lot of the spreadsheets/worksheets after we signed the initial contract. Before the month-of prep meeting, we just sent her info of all of our vendors as we booked them and emailed back-and-forth. Once the month-of started, Stephanie started ramping up - she created our timeline and reached out to all of our vendors. She was so professional and responsive whether it was texting, calling, or email. I live in NYC and was planning a Southern California wedding. She was always available to meet whenever I'd fly into LA, even at the earliest hours of the morning. I initially sought out Lisa because of her fair pricing, but I'd easily pay double for the coordination she provided. From the minute we had an initial phone call, I could tell she was Type A, which is exactly what you need in a coordinator. My gut told me she was perfect for our wedding, and indeed she was! Wedding Lead Up: We had one initial face to face with Lisa where she got to know our needs and our vision. She provided us with super helpful google docs to keep track of decor, guest list, timeline, vendors, etc. As the months of planning progressed, she was CCd on every email with every vendor, and would follow up where necessary. As a type A person myself, I never thought I'd really need my coordinator to do much, but Lisa would always beat me to the punch with following up for missing information or details our venue and vendors had missed. Walk-through: Lisa did a walk-through with us and our venue's coordinator, where she ironed out all of the details of the floor plan and decor, and remembered to ask for things like a full length mirror in our conference room we had to do hair/makeup. Rehearsal: Lisa was great about telling everyone where to go, how to walk properly, and taking pictures for us so we could rearrange people if we needed to. Our bridesmaid was running late but she was able to coordinate with Lisa to find where we were and make it on time. We felt very at ease and ready for the wedding after the rehearsal. Wedding!!!: Lisa and her assistant were wonderful with setting up all of our decor exactly how and where we wanted it, and believe me we had a lot of it! Lisa had the perfect balance of being invisible but also available right when we needed her. She was there to give me a bandaid when my feet blistered, help my grandma with her corsage, and track down random vendors when we needed them, but also stayed behind the scenes a lot. Everyone says a coordinator is there not for if something happens but when something happens. Well, we know of no such happenings because any mishaps were handled 100% by Lisa as we were enjoying ourselves. She had a great balance of keeping us on schedule while still asking if we wanted 5 or 10 more minutes of mingling with friends. At the end of the night she packed up all of our gifts and decor for us, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. The day after our wedding she even sent us tons of pictures and boomerangs she had taken of behind the scenes moments.
