We highly recommend Stephanie for her wedding coordinator services! We just wrapped up our wedding this past Sunday and we had the best time! Stephanie was by our sides the whole day - running around for setup, putting boutonnieres on, communicating with the DJ, letting us know exactly when to walk out for the ceremony and grand entrance, and being a personal bodyguard for us so we could eat dinner without guest distractions. She anticipated what we needed to do and what we wanted before we even thought about it. It felt like having a highly organized friend who was helping with your wedding. She is very easy-going, organized, and funny. She made sure to keep us on track and run us through all of our family photos and table photos as quickly as possible, but also let us film our Tiktoks in-between the important stuff. We also had Sam help out for the first half of the day and she was also very helpful keeping us hydrated, carrying my wife's dress around, and bringing us cocktail hour food. We found Stephanie through referrals from my wife's coworkers and she also was on the preferred vendor list for the Grand Gimeno. One of those coworkers said "I would get married again just to have Stephanie help me plan (and coordinate) my wedding." We were sold! We reached out about 9-10 months before our set wedding date and inquired about day-of-coordinator services. Stephanie was very personable from the start and organized, sending us a lot of the spreadsheets/worksheets after we signed the initial contract. Before the month-of prep meeting, we just sent her info of all of our vendors as we booked them and emailed back-and-forth. Once the month-of started, Stephanie started ramping up - she created our timeline and reached out to all of our vendors. She walked through exactly what we needed to do leading up to the big day and she was very communicative/available. We met Stephanie in-person for the first time during our 1-hour rehearsal slot at the venue during the week of the wedding. She was very friendly, talkative, but also detail-oriented and professional. Her timeline and guest seating chart templates were very helpful and I am glad she made us complete them early. Our wedding day was so special and I don't think it would have been possible with Stephanie & her team! Stephanie has worked with two of my husband's cousins for their weddings and we were referred by them. Stephanie provided so many resources we found useful during the process. She attended our details meeting with us and brought up points that we didn't even think of. Leading into our wedding, we found Stephanie to be extremely organized, detail oriented and collaborative. We had the luxury of planning ahead for our wedding. We are both planners. And we took on lots of the planning ahead of time. But we still found Stephanie to be valuable for two months of planning and day-of-coordinating services. Here are some of many examples. Stephanie helped create different databases to organize our various vendor contracts, seating charts and to-do lists. Stephanie thread the needle with nudging various vendors and occasionally ourselves without being too obtrusive. Stephanie offered helpful feedback to us on how to oversee some DIY projects we wanted to pursue to help manage the budget. My husband and I are so incredibly happy that we hired Stephanie as our day-of-coordinator for our wedding. We found her through the recommended vendors list for our wedding venue. Because she was so familiar with the venue, she was always able to provide the most helpful suggestions during the coordination process. One word. AMAZING. Stephanie was the HEART of my 7/9/22 wedding and her team is an integral reason why my wedding was successful! Here are the reasons why you need her for your wedding! Great personality: I interviewed many planners before Stephanie and they unfortunately made me feel my budget was not enough for the amount of guests I was planning ($40k for 150 guests). I was feeling very defeated, but once I talked to Stephanie, she was encouraging and made me feel like my vision is possible with the budget I had. 2. Professionalism: Stephanie's organization and attention to detail is incredible. She gives you a timeline with wedding tasks to do every month. It made planning easy to manage and ENJOYABLE. I actually have wedding planning withdrawals. 3. Communication: Stephanie was the best at communication. She would respond to my texts or emails right away and I was felt like my questions were always answered. I didn't realize how important communication was until we were having trouble getting a hold of one of my vendors less than 1 month towards the wedding. 4. Wedding Knowledge: Honestly, I valued Stephanie's opinion so much because of her knowledge of the industry. Wedding team: Sam and Corinna were great. Corinna was with me during my getting ready and until the end of the night. She cleaned my dress with baking soda for 30 minutes because it got dirty from the asphalt of the parking lot during our pictures. Huge thanks to Stephanie for taking over my wedding last minute in May 2021. We had to let go of our previous wedding planner, who was not only bad, but also breach confidentiality by telling a family friend (unable to invite due to COVID small guest count), she is planning our wedding. Stephanie came in like a Wonder Woman and saved my wedding a week before my wedding. She would describe things in detail or ask questions in very well prepared manner even though I thought I have prepared everything. My husband and I were so amazed by her attention to detail despite learning everything about our wedding like in few days (within one week) and get in touch with all the vendors. We had morning rain, and she had to prepare for bad weather with my team. We had previous trust issue with our previous wedding planner but with her we were calm and comfortable on our wedding day. I also wanted a song instead of our quartet playing the song, and she was able to get that sort it out unlike my previous planner, who suggested that I buy an ipod instead and doesn't know tech with Ritz. Stephanie was able to solve problems on the spot and gave me great recommendations and coordinate the hand off of my phone to the audio team. Amazingly, despite tight schedule and make up delay for an hour, Stephanie was able to keep my wedding on schedule to walk down the aisle. She was able to trouble shoot when our aisle runner was basically flying off in the morning with bad weather. You can see Stephanie genuinely enjoys wedding planning. She literally saved my wedding and helped out in the most unobtrusive way and really listened. I had PTSD with the previous wedding planner who only cared about money and did not tell me anything except hand me a list of to do. Stephanie was not like that at all. She would teach us how to hold hands to show rings at the aisle, what to do when we walk down the aisle and walk out during grand entrance with a sparkler. I am writing my review here because my husband and I originally chose Stephanie based on the glowing reviews we found about her online. To be fair, I waiting 8 months before writing this review, so the stress that comes with planning a wedding was far behind me before evaluating what we could've done better. When we searched for a day-of wedding planner, we initially chose Stephanie because of her great reviews, familiarity with our Asian culture, and experience. We were willing to pay her fees (which were much more than other planners in the area) if it meant we would have a stress free day, since we had a large wedding of around 300 guests. She continually told us that our job was to relax on the day-of and that she was very experienced in handling all sorts of situations that might come up. In particular, she promised us: 1. A smooth system for greeting guests during the banquet 2. Helping us cover our planning bases before the wedding day so that everything would run smoothly (since we had food trucks and other less traditional vendors) 3. A personal bridal assistant who would follow me around and make sure no one disturbed us at our sweetheart table. Instead, this is what happened: 1. We only got to visit around 50% of our guests because she didn't take initiative and tell people where to go. She also refused to call up different groups after the ceremony to take photos, so we--the BRIDE AND GROOM--had to yell at everyone to gather together for family photos etc. As a result, some of our guests were confused and we did not even get to visit or take a photo with my grandparents. This is one of our biggest disappointments. 2. Did not communicate to the DJ (or just announce on her own) the food truck meal system, so some of our guests didn't even get food 3. My "assistant" sheepishly tried to direct guests, and my husband and I ended up having to re-direct them instead. In the end, I'm writing this review so that others won't make the same mistake as us. I think Stephanie would be a wonderful wedding planner for a wedding that has a pre-determined package (like a country club or hotel venue). But she seemed frazzled and unable to manage crisis on the day-of. Stephanie was a godsend for our wedding. She made our lives silky smooth - even when we ourselves were the reason we were falling behind! I learned a lot from getting married. After an hour, I discovered some of the rosemary had these gross little Spittle Bugs in them (the joys of organic produce), and we had to scrap the whole project. After we were married and sat down at our table, we both noticed there was Rosemary in napkins! Stephanie had gone out to Home Depot that morning and bought/cut the sprigs for us. There are no words to express how much we LOVED and appreciated Stephanie and her team. Oh Em Gee!!! Stephanie was a God sent to me and my wedding ran seamlessly from planning to execution. Not only does she have a super sweet personality, she also has the control to make sure everything was running in order. When I first met her, I knew she was the one for me because she was so detail oriented and she loves spreadsheets just as much as I do! This showed me how organized she was and how dependable she can be with all the info I was throwing at her. I know that some "day of" coordinators will only do the minimum when it comes to meetings and phone conversations, however, Stephanie was not stingy with her time at all! When you host a wedding, things that people normally talk about are - the food, drinks, music, and maybe entertainment. Nobody ever compliments the bride/groom on how awesome their wedding coordinator team is - until you have a wedding coordinated by Stephanie Chin & team! My husband and I got married two weeks ago and we had the perfect, dream-come-true type of wedding, and a large part of that was because of Stephanie and her team. It literally was the happiest day of our lives and absolutely nothing went wrong, and if something did go wrong, we didn't hear about it because Stephanie probably took care of it! She's SUPER responsive to emails, calls, and texts - she'll respond to you within 24 hours if not 2 hours. Sometimes I'd send her like 5 emails in a day and she'll respond to each and every one of them within the day. If I was ever confused or doubted myself on a decision, she would put me at ease. On the day of the wedding, Stephanie brought 3 (or 4?) ladies with her. One stayed with me (bride) the whole day, one stayed with the groom, and 1-2 more were setting up at the venue. Meanwhile, Stephanie was running around to make sure everything was ok. They all had walkie-talkies and these fanny pack looking pouches that had EVERYTHING you needed - you ate some garlic and need gum/mint? You got it. You're hot and need a fan? You got it. Your BM's eyeliner is smeared and need a QTip? They got that too! I can go on and on and rave about Stephanie and her team for hours. When we started the wedding planning process, the top advice we received from friends was to have a competent wedding coordinator. Having attended many weddings as a guest, I've seen brides and grooms stressed out on their wedding days because things weren't going as planned, even though they had a coordinator. As a MOH, I've had to track down the bride's coordinator at the reception because I was supposed to give my speech over an hour ago, only to be met with "oh, I didn't know you guys were ready." We were only looking for a month-of-coordinator as we had our vendors picked, but Stephanie was involved from the beginning. She provided us with to-do lists for each month leading up to the wedding and our day-of schedules early in the process, which my type-A personality truly appreciated. On the day of the wedding, one of her team members was by my side the entire time and assisted with holding my train and bouquet, and providing me with water. We had minor details that didn't go as planned, such as a missing table sign, but Stephanie came to me with a solution instead of just reporting the issue to me.
