We were even hesitant to take a birth class at all--but we're so grateful we took Lisa Greaves' class. While we're planning a hospital birth, we hope to avoid a C-section if possible, and Lisa's class truly empowered us to feel comfortable and informed about all of our options. We learned about laboring at home longer, pain management strategies both with and without medication, and how to advocate for ourselves throughout the process. By the final session, we felt much more knowledgeable about pre- and postnatal care and genuinely prepared to welcome our baby. We also really appreciated the sense of community and the additional resources the class provides. Can't recommend it enough!

We read books and watched videos and she answered all of our questions with much detail. She really helped to prepare us for the day our daughter was born. We ended up with a very intense labor that ended in a c section and we are so thankful to have Nancy's compassion and expertise through the process. She was also very supportive to my family when they needed her most. After we came home from the hospital, Nancy cleaned and prepared our house for our arrival. I'm a new mom, so she taught me important steps for taking care of my baby. She cooked for me and our family and just truly made our transition into parenthood so easy. I would highly recommend Nancy of maternal instincts doulas. Her service, skills, knowledge, attentiveness and work is priceless!!!

She is funny, loving, and incredibly trust-worthy. I still go to her with questions about my now 14-month old!

To be very honest...I didn't even know what a doula is or if I needed one. But being a FTM, I had so many questions and worries about giving birth. I started to do research, and was recommended to check out Annette. And I am so glad I did! From the first conversation, I knew I was in the right hands. I am anxious and an over-thinker, but thankfully Annette's expertise and calming nature helped ease all of that. Most importantly, she helped me become informed in all of my options - so I was able to make the best choices for me and my baby throughout the whole experience - especially when dealing with doctors (which can be rather intimidating). Finally, she was also beyond helpful and reassuring to my support person, my mother...as the two of them together helped me welcome my son into this world. Annette takes on many roles while helping - a coach, a best friend, a cheerleader, an educator and many more. My family is forever thankful to her, and highly recommend having her in your corner to anyone on the beautiful, yet sometimes rather wild, pregnancy journey.

Knowing that…read moreI was hoping to have an all-natural birth, and also knowing that my partner's tolerance for seeing me in pain is quite low, I was insistent on having a doula be a part of our birth story. I did a lot of research and we interviewed two potential doulas. Both seemed beyond qualified, but from the minute Annette entered our living room, it was like having a long lost friend come over. We chatted very easily. She guided our discussion, asking pertinent questions to make sure the fit was mutual. We had another sit-down a month or so before my due date to go over questions and review our desires. She went over our birth plan and reassured us that it would all go well. Fast forward to my water breaking and contractions starting. My wife was in constant contact with Annette throughout the night. The next morning when my labor was progressing, Annette came over. She was amazing. Reassuring and calm, her presence was the perfect blend of taking charge and letting our birth story unfold naturally. She guided me through breathing and various positions. When my contractions plateaued, she encouraged us to walk the dog around the block to get them started again. Her soothing and knowledgeable demeanor was encouraging and the exact support not only I needed, but my partner needed as well. She guided my wife to being the perfect support throughout. She knew exactly when to call the Lyft. We got to the hospital and our baby arrived 45 minutes later. I was hoping to be in the birth center at Mt Sinai West (which has since shut down), and found out it was closed. Thankfully, Annette guided us to laboring as much at home as possible - which was my requested goal. She was in the delivery room, and stayed until our baby learned how to latch (and he learned well - a year later he's still a breastfed baby). She was available for questions throughout the next few weeks. She came over two days later to make sure all was going well. I cannot rave enough about the virtues of having a doula throughout the birth experience - Annette was the perfect one for us!

Our labor was long and difficult, and overall, Paige was with us for over 55 hours straight. She was incredibly supportive throughout the entire journey and was there for me 100% even though it meant she had to miss class that day and missed about a night and a half of sleep. She stayed with me after the birth and helped me nurse my baby for the first time. We spoke often those first few weeks after my daughter's birth and she was so supportive and reassured me that I was doing a great job. I feel so lucky to have Paige in our lives and I highly recommend her services.

Although my issues are pretty common with other women, it's been so painful and annoying to the point where I would cry. I would go to my internal medicine doctor and gyno at least once a month and each time I was treated without empathy and prescribed the same medication with absolutely no actual solution to the root of my problem. No matter what doctor I saw or how much money I spent on medication the problem would come back after a few days. I started losing hope in getting any better since even these "medical professionals" couldn't help me. I came across Paige's Instagram one day randomly and saw that she posted a lot about her experiences and education with women's health. I wanted to take a more holistic approach on my health and even got off birth control after 7 years to give my body a break and feel as natural as possible. I reached out to Paige through social media and I am so happy I did! I scheduled a one-on-one FaceTime constellation with her and wow she went above and beyond than anyone else has. Talking to her was like talking to a best friend - it was comfortable and natural only with a lot more educational and legit information! Paige took her time and evaluated my daily lifestyle (from what I eat, sleep patterns, stress, etc) after that she gave me a wide variety of recommendations on how to heal my gut internally and externally as well as how to ease the process of getting off birth control. She had so much valuable information and offered affordable and realistic approaches on how to heal myself. There is no overnight remedy for anything and although she didn't prescribe me a one and done cure, she suggested many lifestyle changes that would help me in the long run and my overall health - not just for my gut issues. I've been applying a lot of her recommendations, such as dietary changes and adding probiotics and supplements to my daily routine. Wow wow I have already seen more of a change in a little over a month than I have seen in over a year of visiting doctors monthly. I am so grateful I met Paige! She made me feel like I wasn't alone and that things would be better! She was so empathetic and patient with me! I would definitely recommend her to anyone having health problems - especially women! Not only is she so wise and sweet but also provides affordable services! She has even followed up with more than once after our consultation! I am truly grateful the universe brought me to this angel! Although I am getting better I will definitely be setting up more consultations with her in the future. Thank you Paige for being so caring and most importantly so real. Your passion for what you do is what makes you stand out. In a world where western medicine dominates, we need more people like Paige for our future. 10/10 would recommend!
