We had a great experience working with Yummy Mummy on getting a breast pump. My wife OBGYN actually sent over the prescription to them when we asked for another company to fulfill the order due to her insurance only accepting that one. That company was horrible to work with and took forever to send us a breast pump so when she came under my insurance, we use that to order it from Yummy Mummy. Since they already had the prescription order on file, my wife just had to put in her information and medical card on their website. Once she did that, they shipped out the breast pump the same day and we got it 2 days later. We received a text when the order was accepted and when it was sent out. We were just never given a tracking number and the website just shows processing for the order. But we are still happy with the overall easy experience after dealing with another company that was horrible. read more

My insurance was coming to an end and I didnt realize I could get a free pump. I literally had maybe 5 days left, I called and the agent gathered all my information. They faxed the letter that was needed to my doctor and within 24hrs they received the authorization and mailed me my pump! I called on a Monday and the pump was delivered on Friday. Amazing service. We did not have a good experience with Yummy Mummy. We are five days post due date and still no pump in hand. Service reps and supervisors were dismissive, disorganized, and apathetic. Avoid using this company. Order was placed three months before due date, with appropriate paperwork submitted. We were assured pump would ship a month prior to due date (online policy states order will be shipped 60 days before). A month out we had to make weekly phone calls requesting shipment status. Service reps were very vague with their reasonings as to why delivery was delayed, but assured we had done everything right and that we would receive our order soon. We were even promised overnight shipping three times. We made one more attempt on our due date and again were promised over night. We have received tracking but are still waiting for our pump. As someone that is pregnant with a list of other things to worry about before baby, this is the last headache you want to deal with. We will advise our insurance provider to stop recommending this company. read more

I selected "blue shield of CA" and ordered a pump, only to be told that they only taking BSC PPO, not HMO. This is not clearly listed on the website at all. I've had the worst experience with this company! Stay away! Not worth the headache or stress. I have been given such a difficult time by this company. When I first placed my order, I called to make sure everything was in order and I was asked to send them my insurance authorization to complete the order. I did that and was then told it wasn't enough and they needed me to get a prescription from my doctor. So on top of having to wait & getting an actual written prescription, I go ahead and send it to them hoping to get a breast pump asap. Nope! They now ask for my doctor to fill out their specific form! I sent it over to my doctor who then submitted it to them. Yet here we are; I am now 2 months postpartum and still no breast pump.My order is stuck on "pending" and my emails continue to be ignored! This has been causing unnecessary stress for me and my milk supply has began to decrease. I spoke to a representative who assured me she would look into it and reach out to her team. They keep sending me mails that i have to pay $170 and because the whole time I thought they were a scam for sending me bills of a product I never received, I never respondeed and they filed a case to an attorney that I wasnt paying my bill. Wow! I am a very type B person, a procrastinator and last minute. I'm due in 30 days and Yummy Mummy made processing my order through insurance so easy! The online chat portal agent was helpful. Then I had to call to clarify something with my insurance and they helped me do everything over the phone (short hold time). I had to follow up with my health provider and as soon as they sent the paper work over to yummy mummy I got an email from them that everything was processed successfully (less then an hour from when they received the faxed over form). Called 4 times to try to resolve an issue for the breast pump I purchased from Yummy Mummy. Agents didn't know the answer to my issue and promised to call back. A month later my baby is already born and still no call back. I called again and another agent promised me to call back. Guess what- no call back in another two weeks. I finally just decided to return the unopened box and they responded one time trying to persuade me not to return it, and I responded no i do not wanna keep it. It has been a week since I emailed and I'm so frustrated having to take care of my newborn and trying to resolve this issue at the same time. PLEASE. Don't waste your time. I rarely write poor reviews and SO wanted to support a local business. I rented from them when they had a store front and had a great experience. Don't know what's happened since then. I called multiple times over the course of 2 months to rent a pump out of pocket. This is after I emailed and did not receive a response. Whenever I did reach a human, they took my info and never called back. Yesterday I expressed my frustration at the person who answered and explained all of the above. Horrible company, avoid at all costs! I ordered a medela Breast pump through them in 2015, no issues, everything went great. Now it's 2021 and I don't know what happened to them, whether it's staff shortage, or the quality of the training, internal communication problems or all of these factors together because I've been trying to get my breast pump for three weeks and no results. I went with Pumping Essentials instead and could not be happier ! Here is the story. My insurance 100% covers a breast pump every 36 months. I ordered a Brest pump and got a confirmation #. In a week Vanessa from YummyMummy asked me for a prescription. My provider filled it out and faxed it to yummu mommy. When I called back in a couple of days, they claimed they haven't received anything even though my midwives office got a confirmation page. I asked my provider to email me the form so I can upload it myself to yummy mummy's website. When they received the prescription form, the rep told me it's missing a medical necessity code. I pointed out to them that the medical necessity code is the same as the very 1st one listed on YummyMummy's prescription form. The YummyMummy's rep Holly told me it's not covered by the insurance so I called my insurance and the insurance rep confirmed during a conference call that my plan covers the breast pump in full and this code is valid indeed. Guess what, YummyMummy still wouldn't give me a breast pump))) I "thanked" Holly and YummyMummy for their business hung up the phone, placed the order with Pumping Essentials and received my breast pump in less than a week, no questions asked. read more
