We stayed in the deluxe queen studio. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. . It has a full kitchen and a full wall of windows overlooking the river! There was a great little deck with a table and chairs for eating breakfast and enjoying the view. The property had a great beach area with several nice spaces with canopies and chairs for guest to relax in. And plenty of space for all of the guests to enjoy . The River was clear and deep enough to swim in.. it was not very cold but was refreshing in the summer heat after a day spent up at the national parks. The room was wonderful . The kitchen was fully stocked with pots pans utensils , dishes, etc. the beds were comfortable there were plenty of blankets and towels etc. The host was very welcoming and responsive when we reached out with questions and there were instructions, request, and a lot of good suggestions for enjoying our stay provided in a paper that was left in the room.. I would definitely recommend the spot, I plan to come back to visit the Area again and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else

Fresno has more history than people give it credit for and Brix Mansion is one of the best physical reminders of that. if you're into architecture, local history, or just beautiful old buildings it's worth a deliberate visit not just a drive by. bring your camera because the photos basically take themselves. it's the kind of thing that makes you proud your city has preserved it and also a little sad most locals probably don't know its there. now you do. go look at it.

In other words, if you come in on a Monday and pay your annual fee for the yearly pass (in Fresno, CA in my case) you will not be able to use your pass until the following weekend, Saturday! Because there system only takes the transactions on Friday??? WTF?Which is asinine and bullsh*t. Why do I have to wait a week to use the parks when i paid for the pass five days prior? They need to coordinate the input of the data into the system more seamlessly and immediate, this is JUST POOR efficiency and PURE LAZINESS. So my advice is to go in on a Thursday to pay and renew your pass, ALSO it is BS that you have physically go to their downtown office to do all this, WHY NOT have it online???????? His driver instructor was not friendly and mumbled to where he could barely understand what was being said. He did not even hear if he passed or not until we, parents and him, looked at his score. How sad to treat people this way when they are already nervous to take a test. The driving instructor and another worker were keeping three people waiting to take their test while they stood outside discussing a person. That should have been handled privately. I said thank you as we walked by to our vehicle and I was given a look as if I said something wrong.
