Infield dirt is bumpy die to lot of sand and leavelled. But Outfield needs work. Lot of green and lush with lot of dry patches making it hard for outfileders. They also have lots of greens for warm and practice. There is other field by the side which is little low key field, may be for practices. Nice dugot for the teams with the benches. Parking is tight, only handful of spots. Also little close to the 1st base, so be aware of foul balls. Restroom, is well maintained too. Over all well maintained filed and very family friendly field.

I have two boys, ages 10 and 12, who without a shadow of a doubt should have been playing with the selected All Stars during this post season. Both of my boys showed a tremendous amount of skills during the regular season and they both played with their heart and soul. Even one of their coaches submitted my son's name, recommending that he be chosen as an All Star, but for some bias reason he wasn't. What a big let down for a kid, regardless of their race, when they know for sure that they out played kids that were selected into the All Star roster. Shame on this so-called CVA Little League ballpark, who discriminates against African American, little boys. Please, if you're African American, don't come here to sign up your kid to play baseball. And that is just the way that I feel about it and I have every right to feel the way I do and express my feelings openly.

Community Parks create memories for birthdays, holding hands, kickball, learning to ride the bike and sometimes relaxing under the sun. By the way this is a good park to learn to roller skate. Montgomery Waller is surrounded by homes, near schools, the community library, senior housing and actual vibrant neighborhoods. It is quite a beautiful layout of this park. From a couple of baseball fields, full on outdoor basketball courts, paved walkways and walking trails, and play areas. It's a lot of land. If you can't social distance here, then there's a problema. As you walk the unmarked course around the park you may see cheerleaders practicing, litte league baseball, Pop Warner football, AYSO soccer, father's pushing baby carriages, celebration of birthdays and dog walkers. I really enjoy how this park is elderly friendly and safe. The paved walkways is very clean and flat and no cracks, crevices or unleveled ground. There are several manageable inclines and declines. If I was too start a walking or running club I would train at this park. In fact, I see groups doing yoga, tai-chi and cartwheels. It's biiiig. There are two areas of play structures that will likely become boring after a couple of times because expansion needs to happen. The rec center where classes are offered is atop the hill and classes are usually free. I saw Zumba having a blast. Also, there are dog poop bag boxes which offer free bags. Don't let your dog poop on the paved clean walkway. The cons to this park are a few: Limited toilets. I saw one outhouse, and two single toilets in this big park. I guess because this neighborhood is 90% diverse, perhaps they don't use toilets. I guess. Cause this is ignorant for this space to not have real toilets around the entire Park area. The other con, is the walkway should be marked with mileage markers. Parking is available in the lots or around the park. I come here once a week and enjoy it a lot. It is mostly an unshaded park from morning to evening. It's not impossible to find shade but it is a task. Bring your umbrella and/or canopy. You will thank me later. Absolutely, I would recommend this park if you are near the area. Would I make a special trip? Ummm, probably because it is a best kept secret; many people don't know it exists. If you're a trainer or have an exercise class or meet up outdoor meditation, this is a perfect place to do it.

Not only…read moreis this organization HORRIBLY organized, it is an offense to any other good soccer league out there! When you register your child to be on this team you have to pay $110 dollars to even let your kid on to the field. The coaches are all volunteers who for the most part are nice to the kids, the regret of paying so much money begins at the games. Almost every Saturday there is a game in which your kids league goes against another kid league, however the games ARE NEVER ON TIME!! EVER!! you have to wait 15 to 30 minutes for your game to begin! I talked to another parent, he said his game was supposed to start at 10:30 am, his game didn't start till 1:00... On top of that, the "Referees" they have there are all volunteers, but they are the most rudest and disrespectful people you will ever meet, particularly this "Ref" or whatever he was named SAUL. He cut my kid's game short by a WHOLE QUARTER because he wanted his kids game to play on time! Keep in mind our kids game ran late because the game before us started late! Our team coach got upset (rightfully so) as no other game got cut short! only ours! she tried explaining the problem to Saul, but he was so incredibly rude and pompous that he tried to make the whole thing seem like it was her fault, raised his voice and was aggressively pointing at her in her face, all while her own kids were watching! Other parents were getting extremely frustrated as we did not pay 110 dollars for a game to be cut short and to be disrespected! One parent demanded to speak to his manager and Saul said "You have no place in this conversation, know your place and stand aside!" The parent reasonably got upset and "Who are you to talk to me that way!" and Saul said "Im the ref and your nobody!" Everyone got mad at that point. Overall, if you want your kids to join a soccer league, make them join through school or another league, DO NOT waste your 110 DOLLARS here! It is a waste of time and you will regret it!

The 2nd time we went, no one was even there to help us, we had to wait and find someone to help us. Then when we left some guy sitting in his car talking to someone outside yelled at us asking if we paid. It was me, my husband, and 2 young boys. I told him we paid online then he said oh ok. He was just effing rude. Turns out I guess he's the owner. The next time I went I had booked online but received a text that they over booked and tried to reschedule us. This happened twice where their online system allegedly overbooked. After the constant horrible customer service I stopped going there. It's unfortunate because it's really close to my home. Now I drive all the way to Winn batting facility because it's SO worth it. Way better facilities and excellent customer service each and every time. Online booking never overbooks either.

Not only did my son learn life skills from playing baseball but I guess my wife and I did also. Like they say 'Baseball is life'. For my family it is. Now as a grandfather. I get to watch my six year old grandson play little league. It's like starting all over again. Like his dad, my grandson loves baseball. Just watching my grandson play takes me back twenty five years. Exciting times ahead. One of the fun and main things in baseball is hitting a ball with a bat. In youth sports and in softball. It's an aluminum bat. The only way to get good at hitting a ball is doing it. But not just doing it but doing it the right way. Foot positioning, hand placement, recognition of the type of pitch being thrown at you are just a few things a hitter needs to consider. Hitting is not easy. But where to go to learn? There are a few places in San Diego but not many. In the South Bay, even fewer. In Chula Vista, I found a spot that takes hitting a baseball serious. No matter what level you play. If you want to get better as a hitter. This is the place to start. Multiple hitting stations and batting cages. Specializing in youth sports; you can take a class with a small group or even one-on-one personal lessons. My first impressions were that it was a good place to cultivate positive results. The staff of two to three individuals managed a class plus set up the pitching machines. For my grandson, we had Valerie help us. Valerie was awesome. She explained very clearly how everything was structured from the pricing to how to operate the cages. Before you know it. My grandson was hitting in the battling cage. The batting cage my grandson was in clocked at 40 MPH. The lowest speed the pitching machine could throw. For a six year trying to learn the art of hitting. It was very challenging. He missed more than he hit but he was having fun and still enthusiastic. So much so he didn't want to leave. Which is a good sign. Support local businesses especially the good ones. Bombers in Chula Vista is awesome. Hit dingers here.
