Despite my children starting at square one, Scott had one of them swimming the first lesson. The other was scared to put his head under the water, very stubborn, and very loud. Scott was extremely patient and persistent and took the time to build trust with my child. By the fourth lesson he was under water and having fun. Both are well on their way to being strong swimmers. We purchased a 10 pack from AquaSafe - La Jolla! Our 3 kids were all semi-afraid of the water. We have a 6, 5 and 3 year old. The first class all 3 kids shared the 45 minute time slot, but after Ms. Julie's assessment we decided to break the instruction into two increments (20 minutes for our 3 year old, and 25 minutes for our 5 and 6 year old). This proved to be the best course of action. After 2 lessons the kids were no longer scared of the water. After 6 lessons, they were on their way to being "pool safe." I was amazed that all 3 kids are now fully comfortable. We can now take them to the pool and the beach and feel comfortable that they will be able to handle themselves well. The facilities are beautiful and convenient. They pay for parking and they have full bathrooms and showers. I would definitely recommend this company. I have a very active three year old boy who was honestly scared of going in the water so I nervous about lessons. Scott was his instructor and because of his knowledge and safe and calm demeanor my son took to him right away. He was very patient but also stern about teaching him safety which helped my son focus and listen. Not only did my son love going to lessons but I was shocked to see him swimming on his own after just a week or two. My 4 years old and 8 years old loved the swim lessons. The swim instructor was extremely knowledgeable and patient. Our kids made a lot of progress in just 10 lessons. We were extremely satisfied overall and think this was a very good investment. Our daughter was attending weekly group swim lessons for 2 years and made very slow progress as she was sharing a lesson with 2 other kids. She was not getting enough swim time and was distracted. We found focused 1:1 lesson to be much more effective. The scheduling and overall experience with Tracey was very smooth. She was very patient and took the time to explain the different options and share her recommendations.
