Zero stars if I could. Lifestyle put my roof on late July of 2024. 5 months later I noticed a…read moreshingle strip hanging off my patio cover. Four 4 foot pieces had come off along the bottom of the dormer where 2 bedroom windows and 1 bathroom window are in the back. I called Jonathan and he came out and immediately started pointing out places he said my roof was damaged even though we had no damaging storms since it was roofed in July. I told him I just wanted the 4 pcs. put back on. Jonathan called David, who is higher up in the company, I think. David told me over Jonathan's speakerphone that it was against the law for insurance companies to raise my rates for damage that wasn't my fault even if a claim was filed earlier that same year. He said roofing the same house twice in one year was not uncommon. That may be so but I googled whether insurance can raise my rates if the damage is not my fault and found no evidence of what David said being true. Insurance companies can raise your rates or even cancel you at their discretion is what I found. I told them I wasn't about to file another claim and I just wanted the four shingle pieces put back on even if I had to pay so get me a quote on that. That was on 1/25/25. It is now 3/17/25 and I haven't heard anything back from them. How's that for customer service? I contacted my buddy Chris at All Pro Siding, who had done great siding and other work on my house before. He said they weren't insured for roofing but to call John with Guardian Roofing. John came out the same day, verified my roof was fine, then spent about 15 minutes putting the 4 shingle pieces back on, even running to the store for silicone for added protection. 15 minutes on the roof and problem solved. Why couldn't Lifestyle do that? They wanted to replace my entire roof! Keep that in mind when looking for your next roofer... John at Guardian Roofing was honest and solved my problem, Lifestyle not so much.
