It warms my heart to see that Columbia is still in operation after all these years. When I had attended, it was a brand new preschool and truly the best of its kind. The venue was a large room sectioned off into areas per age range. I recall the place always being immaculately clean and full of awesome, educational books and toys. The part I feel had impacted me the greatest was the wonderful, dynamic staff. I still remember my teachers by name, though I'm sure they have all moved on by now. Four year olds are total sponges when it comes to learning, and I feel that the Columbia staff did a commendable job at preparing me for kindergarten. My days were filled with educational activities which involved a good balance of learning, art, singing, and play. I recall entering kindergarten and being at the top of my class. I cannot comment on the preschool's structure as it is today, but can confidently admit that it was one of the best experiences of my early childhood years. When I have children of my own, I'd wholeheartedly enroll them here. Thanks for the memories, Columbia!

Central coast availability of day care providers is tough due to lack of non home daycare options. We also had a challenge as my child a wasn't potty trained and she was 3. After touring a couple of home daycares we got a tour with Hearts and Hands. Ms. Roseanna runs the show there and you could see her passion and dedication to this school and to the students. After walking the building and talking to her we felt this was a good fit for our child. They also had no issues with her not being potty trained at 3. Today was her graduation day and I reflect in the journey we took for the past year. One thing I really liked at this school is communication. Teachers and Ms Roseanna always are communicating with how your child is doing. Anytime there was a bump or scratch on your kid they always let you know with a note and explained what happened. The teachers here are all amazing individuals that truly have passion for early childhood education. Ms. Sherry is such an amazing teacher. She always kept things positive and even when there was a challenging day with my child she always presented information in a positive manner. My child really enjoyed her time with Ms. Sherry. She was such a positive influence on her and I really appreciate that. Ms. Sherry brings a so much experience to the table and it shows. I wish she was my teacher. She was also so positive and reassuring when we were doing potty training. My child is now trained in time for tk thanks for her patience and dedication along with other teachers contributions. They never once got frustrated with her accidents which was so nice Ms. Christina who is no longer with the school was also very impactful in getting her ready for tk/kindergarten. She had a little more direct teaching style but it really instilled the structure in the kids like having them sit quietly. She also was very good about getting kids prepared with numbers and letter recognition. Ms. Swati is a very friendly and great with getting the kids lined up and organized. She was also very helpful days where my child didn't have an easy drop off. She always remembered my name and I always enjoyed the morning conversations and they will be missed. Ms. Bridgette is always smiling and friendly. My child didn't attend her class but any child who is in her class is lucky to have her. She super sweet. The facilities are perfect for a daycare setting. Plenty of toys, puzzles and activities. Outdoor playground is perfect for the kiddos as well. Things always seemed clean when I would drop off and pick-up Pricing is on par with what most folks are charging in the area. Overall I highly recommend this school to anyone needing a child care. I am blessed to have found this place and I know it had a very positive impact on my child's future and I'm thankful to Ms. Roseanna and all the teachers.

Let me say, we are over the moon about Grace Lutheran Nursery School. Within the first week, our child fell in love with this school. First thing she does in the morning is say "time for school!" and is upset on weekend mornings when she can't attend school. Within the first month, we noticed giant strides in her vocabulary, color recognition, social demeanor, and her attitude. Grace Lutheran has developed a love for school within our child which we believe will stay with her for years to come. The teachers are wonderful, always smiling, and helpful. So this is a very nice place and considering how upscale it is surrounded by parks and very nice views right across from the airport in Santa Maria or orcutt, It's a bargain and a half. January gets half price membership fee, In the monthly fees are well worth it and adjusted for families and if you're over an age I don't know. And now the Hot water is back on. Staff is very friendly they have every feature for families that you would ever want. They have all the classes you would ever want. They have tiny dry and wet saunas. I have some great outdoor areas fantastic views I think I mentioned that, but I didn't mention the soccer field which can be rented but it's basically for kids leagues three to 12. And it's particularly nice it's completely enclosed and has artificial turf. They have a lap pool and a jacuzzi off to the side and four weight areas and two gyms with half court, a couple of fully enclosed handball courts which I love. One and a half pickleball courts I'm dying to try that once I get back into reasonable balance. It may be my good looks and personality but people are very friendly. And it's a great place if you got anything going for you to meet someone. So after one tour and 8 days later one try out which isn't much I'm giving it five stars. And it's my favoritest gym I think that I've ever joined maybe the Santa Barbara Y was close.

They truly care about their ducklings and go above and beyond to offer one-on-one attention to each child. Our son has speech delays and Ms. Hicks has played a crucial role in working with him and helping us find additional services. Her background is in education so the daycare is set up more like a Montessori school which we really appreciate. (We looked at similar daycares and they cost double!) At Little Ducklings they do a lot of fun activities while also working on developmental skills. They are very good about updating us on what they are learning. They will send us videos of the curriculum (songs, etc) and pics of our son which helps us work on skills with him at home. Little Ducklings is a such a great school and we feel lucky to be part of it.
