Dr. Stosel herself is knowledgeable and thorough, but the office is extremely poorly run. Do not expect timely answers or follow-up. The staff is a major issue; they rarely answer the phone, fail to return messages, and frequently fail to send lab orders or prescriptions as promised. Pre-authorizations are delayed or refused, and staff can be rude and unhelpful. read more

Dr Stosel is a very knowledgeable physician who listens and tries to rule out as many things as possible to get an accurate diagnosis, but this takes A LOT of time. Don't expect answers right away. It will take months, maybe a full year before you are given answers as to why you feel so lousy. The office staff is beyond help. Rarely answers the phone, doesn't return messages in timely manner (if at all), doesn't seem to care. Trying to schedule appt is difficult. Appt are several months away or not given at all and told you're on waitlist. I'm leaving this practice due to the incompetence of the office staff. read more

Her staff is awful. If you want things done in a timely manner do not go here. I've called for weeks and left voicemails and no one ever answers the phone as noted by other reviewers. The staff will straight up tell you they are too busy to send pre-auths in for medications. Staff doesn't follow through with what the Dr tells you during your appointment. Never had this bad of experience with staff at any other Dr office. Very unprofessional staff who is not responsive and if you are lucky enough to get a call back they are rude and dismissive. I called the office after getting a referral from my doctor. No one answered for two days in a row so I left a message. They called me back and I asked to verify if they would be able to use my insurance. The receptionist told me that she would check and call me back. I've been waiting over a week so I called them back. A different receptionist answered and I briefly explained that I was calling to see if my insurance was accepted. Before I could finish my sentence she just says "NAME" and I gave it and she said "oh yeah we don't take your insurance and it'll be $300 for x and $150 for y" lol as if. Dr. Stosel is honestly the BEST doctor! After doing much research, I feel so lucky to have finally found someone who takes the time to actually listen to my concerns and problems. Not only is Dr. Stosel incredibly sweet, she is also remarkably brilliant and really great at what she does. Dr. Stosel really takes the time listening to me and providing me with expert guidance and information. I initially went to her with extreme fatigue and believing I have some kind of hormonal imbalance. Dr. Stosel took her time with me and discovered some other personal things with my health that truly saved me and changed my life, and I will forever be grateful to her because of that. In regards to her staff, I have been going here for over a year now and I have noticed Dr. Stosel's staff has changed (for the better). She has hired new and more people, which I noticed has helped run things a lot better. The staff is really kind and they go out of their way to help you in any way that they can. They call me back when I leave messages and they always try to accommodate me when I need to see the doctor. Normally, I don't know that I'd leave a review like this, but I really don't know what to think of this doctor and her staff. I was referred to her and I saw her once and the the pandemic hit. But when things began to open up, and I was having blood sugar issues, I reached out. I find it very hard to communicate with this doctor and her staff, as phone calls were generally not returned. If I called when they first opened, and if I was lucky, I would catch the front office person. I called once and the doctor was not even in yet. But several phone calls were not returned, two appointments were not kept by them, not even a communication that they would not happen, and I was put on a medication that actually raised my numbers to a dangerous level, yet the doctor kept saying I needed to stay on it. I was very ill and getting worse until I met Dr. Stosel! I suffered frequent bouts of extreme lethargy with very slow recovery, and was bed-ridden during each episode. Other specialists tried to help me, but failed. Today, my condition has been reversed and I feel 'normal' again. NOTE: It began by Dr. Stosel 'believing' me that I was actually sick. I actually really like Dr. Stosel and find her to be an extremely intelligent doctor, but a terrible business owner. I have decided I will not be returning and will be looking for a new endocrinologist due to her deplorable office staff. I stopped in to her office without an appointment this morning because after trying to call for several weeks with no answer and no return phone call, I only have one week left on my one prescription without any remaining refills. If the front desk person had told me immediately that there would be no way for her to see me, I would have been okay with that and would have scheduled an appointment for the future. However, she kept me waiting over an hour and then finally informed me that I would have to come back. Not only have I dealt with the staff's incompetences, two other patients I have referred to Dr. Stosel, one of which is a doctor herself, refuse to come back for the very same reason. I was prescribed a name brand prescription that requires special authorization from my insurance company, otherwise the out of pocket cost is over $3000 a month. I went back and forth for over a month between my insurance company, the pharmacy and Dr. Stosel's office (when they actually answered the phone) and never got anywhere or the medication that I needed because her office never followed through on what they were supposed to do. The excuse I got from everyone at her office is that they are understaffed. I've personally ran two doctor offices at least the size of hers, if not larger and I did it by myself so that excuse holds little weight with me. I hope they can actually get it together for the sake of their patients because it's absolute nonsense for people with health issues to have added stress caused by their doctor's office that is supposed to be helping them. read more

Dr. Stosel is an adequate Doctor. I have been a diabetic for 62 years and she really did nothing to tweak or better my condition. She gives you only 20 minutes of her time and then pushes you out the door. On top of that her staff has been a revolving door of lazy non-caring individuals. They do not return phone calls, correctly fill prescriptions and do not understand patient care. I have seen Stosel for 5 years and returned religiously every 3 months for those 5 years. I recently asked the Doctor to refill a non medical prescription which she refused to do instructing me to make an appointment in order to receive the prescription. Really, this is modern medicine all about the money. Her staff instead told me that over the past five years I had canceled 4 appointments. I made new appointments to replace the appointments so what her staff is talking about is beyond me. Instead they made me feel like some deadbeat who had never seen the Doctor. Stay away from this Doctor she is all about the money and has little concern for patient well being. By the way whatever policy Dr. Stosel refers to in her reply, it is a secret policy one she never tells her patients. Imagine if you needed life saving medication and your doctor said no you have to visit me! read more

My primary care doctor referred us to Dr. Stosel and we were so grateful she was accepting new patients. We took my husband to see her and had a wonderful experience. Her staff is very responsive and extremely helpful. Her first new patient appt was about 6 weeks out. However, they had us on a cancellation list and called with a much earlier appt. They really try to work with each situation. His numbers were very bad and she put him on meds and monitoring right away. After three months his numbers dropped significantly. We were thrilled. I decided to make an appt for myself as it had been a few years since my numbers were checked. I am a cancer survivor so follow up is important. As soon as my tests are back, Dr. Stosel will work with us as a team to help plan a food lifestyle that works for both my husband and I. So grateful for her team looking out for us. They are extremely detail oriented and covered all the bases (and then some) in regards to testing. Highly recommend this office if you need an excellent and thorough endocrinologist with an efficient, helpful and personable staff. Their follow up is always spot on also! Thank you all. Dr. Stosel got my life back on track and I can't thank her enough. She is attentive and caring, as is her staff! I am reading about how the staff is "unprofessional"...well, I've never experienced that in the last year and 1/2. Are they busy, yes...are they unprofessional...NO! This is a thriving office and not surprising as Dr. Stosel and staff are amazing, and they do their best to be friendly and please the patient. And sometimes when we need to be with amazing, there may be a slight delay (and sometimes not) as in every Dr's office. Would you rather go to some quack who takes your money and sends you on your way? Not this girl! We all want our time with Dr. S., that goes for everyone. Maybe one has to wait a bit...but it is worth the wait when it is your time to be seen. And really it's not that long like other Dr. offices that lag behind an hour or more. Not here! Then Dr. S. really takes her time...invests in YOU alone...to help with what ails you. I mean, who could ask for more? SHE CARES! I mean that...she does care! I cannot praise this office more. The most unprofessional front office for a medical practice ever. Go somewhere else. I was without a life changing medication for over a week due to the incompetency of the front office, blood work was never sent over to my Primary, even after begging to speak to the doctor I received no return phone calls. Thank goodness the staff problems are history! Dr. Stosel has great staff now; the office run professionally and efficiently again. Dr. Stosel is an ABSOLUTE GEM. I am a huge fan, and am so grateful for her. She is supremely intelligent, compassionate, and always really LISTENS to me. We work together -- her practice is a beautiful balance of alternative (supplements, diet, lifestyle) and traditional medicine (tests and prescriptions). She routinely stays on top of medical research and info, and is years ahead of my other doctors. She is so in-the-know on anti-aging . For example, she's been testing my Vitamin D levels forever, even before my insurance would pay for it, and now it's the thing with all my doctors. Dr. Stosel saved my quality of life by diagnosing a thyroid problem other doctors had missed. I knew there was a medical issue, but several doctors told me it was all in my head. One doctor said, i neede "to learn to manage my life" and referred me to lifestyle management classes. As if. Dr. Stosel is a gem! She is very personable and listens to her patients. I have Graves Disease and my last 2 endo's have pushed RAI treatment and I specifically told them I would like to do everything I can to avoid RAI as long as my liver blood tests come back fine. Dr. Stosel was the only one that agreed with me and wanted to treat me based on what I wanted of course with consideration to my blood test results. I have been on PTU (allergic to methimazole) for 7 months now hoping to go into remission. My liver numbers have actually gotten better so that is a plus and a good sign as I can continue on meds. Her bedside manner is an indicator that you are not a number but a human with wants and needs! I highly recommend her. read more

I have been called 3 times by the front office staff wanting to schedule a follow up appointment. This is after I very clearly communicated the same staff member that due to never receiving a call back after leaving several messages and the office not having results of my exam more than once I would no longer be a patient of theirs. Dr. Stosel is amazing! After years of struggling with a range of symptoms, and feeling distraught over them, I found Dr. Stosel. On our first appointment, she spent over an hour listening to me and asking questions. I have never met a doctor more intuitive and caring. She ran a range of tests and got to the bottom of all the symptoms I have been experiencing. UNPROFESSIONAL!!! This office is highly unorganized. I had blood work done over 7 weeks ago, and I am still waiting to hear back with the results! I've called over and over, left messages three times with no return phone call. On top of all that I get a $787 bill for lab work - and the lab says Stosel's office never submitted my insurance card. I've never had a doctors office display such unprofessional behavior! If you're looking for answers, and expecting professional treatment, this is definitely not the place to go. read more

In the eighteen years I have been going to Dr. Stosel as my primary physician, she has given me the highest quality of care, with the greatest insight and genuine concern to win my battle with diabetes. She always takes the time necessary to listen and explain, as do Shelley, her office manager, Christi, her nurse and Nick, the phlebotomist. I always get the newest medicines, and the most comprehensive evaluation and treatments. Most people go into some form of denial when they get diagnosed with diabetes, some lash out against their own doctor, I know because these were obstacles I had to overcome 18 years ago when I was diagnosed.
