Used their online site to order several replacement parts for my Vermont Castings stove. The prices were 10-25% lower than other VC dealers and shipping charges were competitive. Other VC dealers didn't stock the parts and listed a 4-6 week time frame to 'special order' parts from the manufacturer. Even though the website is extremely minimalist and I had my doubts that parts would arrive timely, they arrived 2 business days after I placed the order all in good order. I am so glad I found Stove King. First of all I really liked the selection of stoves. I had an idea what I wanted and was able to view a number of viable options. The customer service has been top notch. The owners, husband and wife, were both quite helpful and available throughout the process of ordering the stove, figuring out how to get propane installed, and then of course installing the stove itself. The contractor who delivered and set up the stove was likewise knowledgeable and patient in resolving a minor chimney connection issue. In this age of big box stores and on-line shopping it is the customer service offered by local businesses that keeps them competitive. Stove King has this down! I highly recommend this store and the folks that own and work there! read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED in Stove Kings service! Paid Dale with a credit card over the phone ($280) for parts a month ago, and still no parts-- and they wont return my calls or email regarding the status!! I contacted Jotul ( parent company of my Stove Mfr), and they recommended I contact the Better Business Bureau tomorrow, and take legal action. Furios!!!! Buyer beware!!! read more

I have not received the item, the tracking number provided is invalid, I have emailed them several times, as the phone number provided on the contact us page tells me the number or code is incorrect. So I have to leave a star for this to work? Fine. Two days ago a close friend of mine went to Stove King in Danielson CT after calling looking for pellet fuel. She got there to find that they had pellets in stock but the owner/manager stated that they were not to be sold- they were being kept for employees and display as there is a shortage of the pellets right now. Congrats Stove King of Danielson. This info is going far and wide. You lost her business. You will not receive business from myself (looking to buy a new pellet stove) and I will make sure EVERYONE in the area knows of this stellar example of customer service, not only for this season but for any future ones while you are in business. read more

Very disappointed. Basicaly they told me exactly what I wanted to hear to make a sale. Such as quick install, promised to keep me informed on Mass rebate program. LIES. I am disgusted. The install was well over a month later than originally told to me and they never even signed up for the rebate program, lied to me saying there wasn't one! Also I purchased a LOPI stove and got a FIREPLACE X door. I had to pretty much beg for a door that said LOPI which is what I bought. I was away at school at the time and it caused me a massive amount of stress. Though I love my LOPI I would never recommend this company. Their business ethics are criminal. read more

Ordered online mantle top for a high-end HI-300 Regency(Hampton). Price of the one replacement part was well over $200. It arrived and upon immediately opening, I noticed a chip in the enamel about the size of a dime. I looked inside the packaging to see if the product was damaged during shipping and did not find the missing chip. I took photos and sent them immediately and asked to please remedy. No answer. I have since tried 2 more times and today tried a different contact person as a desperate attempt. This all has been over the course of a month. Better to pay a little more and be confident of the company representing their product. Really hope I have learned my lesson finally. Crooked scales. read more

I placed an order on 1/6/16 from their online store for supposedly in-stock pellet stove parts and it has been a nightmare getting it filled. Customer Service is non-existent, they do not answer emails and only answered the phone twice out of the +15 times I've tried to call (one of the two times they told me the Parts Dept was closed and I should've called earlier, hilarious...since I did call earlier but they didn't answer the phone). The # of parts that are missing from my order vary between customer service reps and my latest estimate is to get the parts around 1/25 and 1/26 since 2 parts are now missing. This is after previously being assured I would have them on 1/13 and then being told only one part was missing when they didn't show up. I spent the next 5 days emailing and calling trying to find out the status of my order. I even called the Medford, MA store to see if they could help. He tried, but also never got back to me. Today, 12 days after placing the order, they finally disclosed which parts were missing from my order, this is insane. I assume they are just really disorganized, but if they'd been upfront with me at any point about what is happening I would have ordered with someone else. Now I know to skip this place in the future. Wish I could give 0 stars. They charged my credit card on 1/6 incidentally. read more
