I enjoyed my stop into this store, as I was searching for cute stores in the area to browse. This fit the bill. It's a good-size store, and I found some good items in their kitchen section where I found some nice silverware items. I have been shopping at Stowe Kitchen and Bath since I was a kid with my mom but even more so as an adult and since I've moved closer to the area. I come here with friends and family too. They have beautiful things for your home, cute gifts for babies, friends, or to treat yourself. Although the prices can be higher than other stores, the quality is good, and in Stowe most things are priced this way because you come for the beauty of Stowe! I would definitely recommend this store to anyone who likes to bake, cook, shop, needs a nice gift for someone, or is just passing through to look. read more

Where do I begin?! I went in looking for sheets- I have had terrible luck replacing my favorite 20 year old sheets that finally bit the dust. Well, Kate first gave me a lesson about thread length, count and a few other things. (By the way, she paused a meeting she was in to come and talk personally with me.) Then we felt the different sheets and I began to understand why I wasn't going to be happy with my usual haunts for sheets. I am sleeping on my new favorites- Pine Cone Hill- and holy moly! these are amazing! These are the quality that I've been searching for. When I took them out of the dryer I knew she had taken care of me!! Oh- and my child left with some sweet unicorn earmuffs from the sale shelf - so she's happy too read more

We are kitchen cooking enthusiasts and always love to find unique tools and gadgets. We stopped in for a visit and were shocked by the rude haughty staff. We did make a purchase out of necessity but honestly did not want to buy anything due to staff. They were very unfriendly, no greeting as we entered an empty store with two employees behind the counter. Their unwillingness to leave their spot to help us was clear with their "over there" attitude. They did not act like an owner and gave plenty of glaring stares. I won't go back. read more

I stop at this store every time I go to Stowe (generally once a year) and my family and I love it. We always find something fun to bring back home. This is such a cute shop! There should definitely be more stores like this in existence. They have a really sweet selections of items that are great for your home, gifts for friends and tons of knick knacks that you have to have. The prices aren't the cheapest but I love to buy something to support small businesses like this. Also they had a ton of items on sale upstairs for half off -- which included great deals. If you are ever driving by or down the hill at the farmers market I would definitely make a stop! read more

Locals Favorite!! I live, work, play and shop in Stowe and this is by far my favorite store. If I need anything from a quick new outfit to a handy kitchen tool, special linens or a gift this is my go to store. The selection is great and the prices well, living in VT we do,a lot of online shopping and I've done my homework. The prices at this store are equal or sometimes better than online and "no shipping." OH and don't miss the big yearly sales. They are amazing. I've purchased so many really cool things significantly under wholesale cost at these sales and won a few doorprizes in the meantime. I was in Vermont withy wife for our anniversary and stopped into this store which was recommended by my brother. Kate waited on me, whom i believe is the owner. After she inquired about my wife's likes and dislikes, she focused in on her love of cooking. Me being a typical in uninformed male, would have bought a spatula and some kitchen towels. Kate, realizing my handicap, thoughtfully suggested a practical but lovely suggestion - a set of Swiss Diamond pots and pans. What did I know - they looked like pots and pans but a lot nicer than what we had so I took her advice and made the purchase. Well, when my wife saw the gift, she was not just overwhelmed with joy but more surprised of my knowledge of kitchen ware. When I explained to her the story , she was greatful that I was lucky enough tonhave someone take the time to learn about her and suggest something she would absolutely love, so, from my wife and I , THANK YOU for being a "tasty" part of our anniversary!!! read more

We have stopped in at this little shop many times over the past decade during regular visits to Stowe to stay at our vacation home. This time we were shocked to be followed around very suspiciously by an older woman I did not recognize from previous visits (new employee? An owner?) who rudely asked us where exactly we were from, & then when we said "NY" said "can you be more specific?" When we were looking at their little demo kitchen set up in the back of the store she came over & said " what are you doing?" And we mentioned that we were admiring the colors in the countertop she snapped: "Nothing is for sale back here" and hovered til we moved away. After another few minutes of her following along behind us throughout the store, my grown son and I sat down on a sofa in a little seating arrangement to wait for my daughter who was on the second level. The woman immediately came back & said I'm sorry but I need to move this sofa over, I'm going to have to ask you to get up". Needless to say, we got up and left the store. My daughter put down the 2 items she was planning to purchase and left as well. I have 2 words for all you fellow travelers: racial profiling. It is apparently alive & well in northern VT. read more
