This company deserves 10 stars out of 5. I have mobility problems and we found this company online. All I can say that we had a WONDERFUL experience. We booked wheelchair assistance and a private tour for four people. Lauricio, the tour operator, pushed me uphill from his office through a no wait line and into the Vatican Museum. Here the company tour guide, Nadia, took over. As my wife pushed me along the tile floors, Nadia gave us the tour of a lifetime. She was not only well educated in the subject matter but she had a passion for all things concerning Vatican City. After the museum we we went to the Sistine Chapel where she astounded us with her knowledge of Michaelangelo and the drama of the Chapel's history. We proceeded to see Raphael's fresco and learned of his animosity towards Michaelangelo and vice versa. Lauricio returned and got me to St. Peter' Basilica and got me to a taxi for a return trip to the cruise ship meeting point. This company bent over backwards to accommodate our group. I highly recommend this company if you have mobility problems or even if you you're looking for a good Vatican guide. Vatican rules require a physicians' letter to verify that your handicap is legitimate, so give yourself a few days to get documentation in order. read more

I'm so glad I found this place. Price is so affordable, place is located very close to Vatican Museum. 90 meters from Vatican museum and it's about 6 minutes walk from Prati where I stayed. Wheelchair was new and worked great! Lauricio, the owner of the shop was so accommodating. He let me choose the wheelchair and picked whichever worked for my mom (I chose a different model when I made appointment). This is a small company. They don't deliver and pick up for your order, but the price is unbeatable. All the wheelchairs in shop looked new. The one I got had hand brakes and manual. It worked very well. It was easy to use and light. It fit in the small size elevator. Worked well on cobblestones roads. If you walk and try finding the shop, it is located in Checkandgo Tours. I wish I knew how to write a more sincere and impactful review. We booked a tour with a different company. We showed up for a full-day Vatican and Coliseum tour only to find the company closed due to a last-minute cancellation -- we were devastated. Then by happenstance, we met Lauricio. Though he didn't work for our original company, he went above and beyond to help complete strangers. He made call after call, found out what happened, and somehow arranged a last-minute city tour and Coliseum guide for us -- and it turned out to be one of the best tours I've ever experienced. Our tour guide Paulo (sp?) was incredibly knowledgeable-we truly had a private tour. My mom is hard of hearing and she went above and beyond to speak directly to her in a firm tone. She brought us directly to the Sistine Chapel before the crowds arrived and gave us all the time we wanted to linger and admire. She gave clarity to everything we were looking at. If we could give more stars we would. Also, they generously offered for us to swap our travel wheelchair to one of theirs that was MUCH better than ours and really made the experience much better. After our tour was complete they allowed us to keep that chair until we were ready to leave Vatican City. It was a true game changer! Thank you, thank you for providing us with a tour of a lifetime. This is by far probably the best wheelchair rental service you'll find in Rome. The owner and main contact person, Lauricio, is such a nice guy and has experience being in a wheelchair so he's very well educated into which wheelchairs are suitable for different clients. He's extremely friendly, contactable and even offers discounts and amazing tips on wheelchair friendly tourist locations all around Rome. The wheelchairs are extremely durable and of high quality (photo posted) and Lauricio is always contactable in the off chance you still need to ask him something. Lauricio and Susanna were absolutely fantastic! My wife has limited mobility and had to tour the Vatican and St Peter's on a wheelchair. If anyone has toured the Vatican then they know the sea of humanity that lines up at the entrance to the museum. Lauricio got us inside the museum within 10 minutes. Susanna was very knowledgeable about the Vatican exhibits and the Sistine chapel. She had a pleasant demeanor and guided us through the exhibits at a comfortable pace. After the Vatican Lauricio took us to St. Peter's and again got us in within 20 min. Otherwise it would've taken us about an hour at least to get in. He dropped us off at the entrance of the basilica before leaving. I can't recommend them enough. read more

My husband Rob, who has cancer and a rare heart condition, had his bag stolen on the first leg of our Holliday in Milano ( from a church!!!) and the most valuable item inside it, for him, was his mobility scooter charger with a three prong plug.
