OMG I got absolutely HACKED! What the actual. I am unbelievably disappointed and so mad at myself for ever going here. Please stay far away. I cried when I straightened my hair and found the most uneven, terrifying, horrendous haircut of my life. Like what even is this?!? It's stringy, lifeless, there are 4 million random strands of hair just longer or shorter than anything around it. Oh, and it's an absolute dumpster fire. BEWARE! Do not go to Melissa! She has no idea what she is doing when coloring hair. I took my daughter in to get highlights and low lights. My daughters hair was blonde to begin with so Melissa said this would be easy. She MELTED off her hair!!!!! It was like she had no idea what she was doing! Then she proceeds to walk us to the front and still take my money. My husband called after my daughter and I returned home in tears and Melissa had the audacity to tell him it was our fault! She still has never apologized! She did refund our money once it was asked of her. If you are going to Strandz DO NOT use Melissa! I love this salon. I've seen Lindsay, Mickey, and April. They all did an awesome job on my hair. April did great braids for me, and Mickey and Lindsay both did amazing balayages for me five stars! Lindsay did my first by balayage made my color amazing. I have brown hair and she pulled through really pretty golden blondes. Mickey did a great job. She did the second one I had. The ends or a little bit blonde, but it wasn't her it was because I'd had a previous balayage, and my ends were already a bit light. Mickey also did a demi glaze rose gold color on my hair that I really liked. Most recently Lindsay did a purple brown around Christmas. I wanted something darker for the season it turned out great. Great Clips is better! I just got the worst haircut of my life and I'm 44 years old. I'm literally crying over this, it's HORRIBLE! The cut she gave me looked like Johnny Depp's cut in Willy Wonka. What I asked for was a cute, layered cut. I showed her a pic. What she did was NOTHING like what I asked for. So then she tried to fix it and made it worse. Fortunately I'm able to get in to a decent salon tomorrow. I only hope she didn't botch it beyond repair and they can fix it. This place was worse than great clips. I think I found a great salon and the PERFECT stylist for me at Strandz! I'll be honest...my hair looked and felt like a deplorable nest of straw and left over candy wrappers. I gave Bridget free reign and she gave me the best cut I've had in about, oh, 8 years or so. And I'm VERY happy with the price. (And she didn't pressure me to buy product, which I REALLY appreciate.) She's also funny and entertaining! She's a perfect for for me. I'm never going to anyone else. Period. I can't recommend her or this salon enough, honestly. I really wanted to find a stylist near my office and I am so glad I found Aubrey! I was eyeing this place for a while since I saw all of the great reviews. She is such a sweetheart, really enjoyed conversing with her and I am so pleased with my new cut and color. She really listened to what I wanted and where I wanted when summer rolled around. I appreciate the fact that she walked me through what she was going to do, as well as provided me with her opinion. Which is important to me to ensure we're both are on the same page. A while after I posted my first review I received a text from the owner of the Salon, who is only interested in giving me the "refund" that was "offered" by Zari M., which includes a color refund only. I told them I wanted my refund in FULL three times. The cut was absolute garbage and the color was too dark and the entire experience was horrendous. The stylist completely ignored my request when I explained what I wanted. What makes them think it's appropriate to only refund me less than half of my money after the additional monies I had to spend at the doctors and for medication after they injured my scalp. Today I'm contacting the BBB again after filing my complaints in regards to having the salon hand over my money in FULL. You are not nice people, despite what you may believe. I was injured and insulted and mocked by your staff. You should have offered me my refund in full, if not out of the kindness of your hearts then the BBB will MAKE you refund it. Just a reminder this is the kind of business they run, that I have to go through hoops to get a measly $140.00. An absolute robbery and mockery of a professional business. The Better Business Bureau has been extremely helpful and informative and I'm glad they are finding the time to help me with this issue and I feel good about working with them in the future. read more

Everyone has had a devastating hair experience. Some worse than others. I am loyal to my stylist, but we were in a rut with our relationship. I needed a hair councilor that would update my look, maybe have a fresh idea or a new perspective. I let my hair grow out so there would be more to work with, and decided it was time to take the risk of a new stylist. They gave me to Tara, who was running about 10 minutes behind. She seemed very friendly and did a very good job on my hair for what she had to work with. I would have given a five star rating but...the shampoo chairs did not fit the sink correctly. It was the most uncomfortable washing experience ever, and that had nothing to do with the stylist. I tipped 20 percent because she did offer advice on my cut and did what was expected. But I went in last year with fried, horrible, uneven, nightmare hair after a tragically botched perm ruined my long locks and Aubrey's been awesome. I realize I'm going for a simple service, but I do really like this salon. The service has always been prompt, receptionist always polite, and I've paid more money for sh*tty haircuts so I've no problem with the price (a lot of people are complaining about this for some reason).
