Free admittance and free lockers are provided in the basement for our big purses, coats, and water bottles. We took their recommendation and started at the top on the 4th floor and made our way down. There are a lot of paintings so it took us awhile and we ran out of time. The museum closes at 5pm and we were only there for 90 mins.

The museum was designed by Louis Kahn, and the building is incredible. It's built around two interior courtyards and has a spiral staircase hidden inside a concrete cylinder. Its design includes travertine, white oak, and concrete. As with his other museum that I love (the Kimbell in Fort Worth), the lighting is incredible (the skylights are designed in such a way as to allow in the most possible light, but diffused to protect the art). I knew when we walked in that we didn't have long in the museum, so I asked a docent for the architectural highlights, and he was kind enough to steer us to the most special aspects and rooms of the building's design. But so you don't think the museum is just an empty building, I should mention the art!! Their permanent collection is interesting - the largest and most comprehensive collection of British art outside the UK. When we visited, the museum also had some interesting temporary exhibits: "Tracey Emin: I Loved You Until the Morning" and "J. M. W. Turner: Romance and Reality." It's a really beautiful museum - both the architecture and the art. I'd love to return when I have more time - to really enjoy the collection and not just the architecture next time! What a museum!

She demonstrated a passion for the history of the mansion, the time period, and the complicated inter-relations between the involved individuals which was truly inspired and fascinating. She answered all our tour group's questions with great skill and delight. We reserved our spots online for the 90-minute noon tour today, featuring the first and second floors, the main entertainment rooms, bedrooms, and servants' quarters. On-site parking for free. The mansion has been closed for two years to renovate the electrical/HVAC system and recently reopened for public tours. They'll be opening the basement floor to show the bowling alley and vault sometime next year. If you're in the area on Dec 14, they'll be open for a festive Christmas event.

They also do a very good job of keeping groups separate once you get inside. Not cheap, but worth it if you're really into haunted houses, like I am.

It's like they paid high school students to build this and pepper in random "horror" props from Party City. The website avertises 3 different themes that you will walk through, and you CAN NOT tell them apart since everything looks the same amateurish. Second, the "actors". How can these folks be called actors when they barely did a friggin thing?? The majority of them just stood there or walked past people. Not once did I see anyone jump out and scare anyone. And no one here had any quality makeup on. It's like they all just had crap face painting slapped on them. Thank god my group and I bought the fast passes. We would have been livid to have waited in the long ass line for what we heard was a good two hours for some, and come out disappointed as we did. The folks running this don't care about quality or actually providing an experience. They're simply cashing in on cheap shyte. We bounced over to Legends of Fear after, located about 20 mins from this. And finally had a terrific experience full of scares for everyone in my group. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT waste your time and money on this joke that is Fright Haven.

Food trucks line on two streets of the park providing a variety of options. Be warned that there are long lines. I would suggest surveying the trucks at the event through the website and dividing and conquering with friends to maximize options. Most streets surrounding the park are blocked off for safety so come early. Street parking is also limited. Besides the blooming trees, entertainment can be found at the center stage and vendors are also available. Make sure to stop by Historic Wooster Square Association's table for a bit of history, perhaps a tour of the park and purchase goods for donation purposes.

The Beatles, 80's video games, Ninja Turtles, The Talking Heads, Japanese culture, Breaking Bad, the list goes on. There's also a very admirable collection of rare Phish prints, if you're into that sorta thing. Most prints are very reasonably priced. Typically between $30-$50. They do themed shows every few months, which are definitely worth attending. The space is comfortable, just the right size for the collection - and they do free wine, beer, and food on show nights. Check their Facebook page for the events. Definitely a gem in downtown Milford.
