My family and I have been coming to see Dr. Brock for the past 13 years. This practice is amazing- the BEST! I had a shoulder injury about 8 yrs ago that Brock fixed and now I just had a calf injury he has officially healed :) he uses many techniques such as dry needling and BFR (blood flow restriction). I have been seeing Brock and his staff for many years. So have my other family members. They are so invested in you. They remember you, they care about what you are up to and how you are doing, and aren't trying to rush you in and out. Brock will explain what he is adjusting and why, and really help you understand the problem. Not only that, but they will try to reach you exercises to help the problem not reoccur and you get post treatment things such as ice, heat, compressions, etc. If you have a question for Brock (or one or the other chiropractors) after you've seen him and are in the chairs for the complimentary personalized after treatments, they will not hesitate to ask. The only reason I am giving it two stars is because Shelby, who is a great chiropractor. Unfortunately, the office manager is horrible. I was an established patient there when I threw my back out this past summer. It was so bad that I literally couldn't get out of bed that morning. I was between jobs at the time so I asked if they could possible see me, and I would pay them when I could. I wasn't going for regular maintenance visits because I didn't have the money, but this was an emergency. Tara the office manager said no, and berated me for asking. She told me that I cant expect to get free services, and you can't just walk into a restaurant you cant afford and demand they give you a free meal. To be fair, I was on short term disability just before that and owed them for two visits ($160.00) because I was only making 60% of my regular salary at the time. Even so, for a Health Care Provider to compare emergency treatment to trying to scam a fancy meal is ridiculous. Before that, I had always paid them and carried a zero balance. After that, they basically gave the impression that I was a deadbeat and was trying to con them outnof Paying for my services. This continued after I caught my up on my bill and owed them nothing. I was the only patient that was required to prepay. I missed an appointment because I had a medical emergency. Even after I explained that to them, they tried to charge me a $50 missed appointment fee since I didn't cancel in time (the medical thing happened past their cancellation window. Today, when I called and tried to book an appointment, Tara, the office manager, told me that they were terminating me a a patient and would no longer see me because of my "antagonistic" behavior whenever I was in the office, I.e. when I stood up to them for trying to single me out. The office manager and the staff are complete sycophants who are your best friends when times are good and you have money. And it's not just that the friendliness and level of service goes away. I can't speak for the whole staff, but at least as far as Tara goes, she believes that your Value as a person is dependent on how much money you have. read more

I have some imbalances due to repetitive motion (something like 80% of people in my field end up having shoulder, wrist or elbow surgery in their career) and was fairly new to San Antonio. I met with one of the chiropractors who was really awesome and seemed to know his stuff. He was thorough and ready with a plan. My issue is with the front desk. I called ahead of time to make sure my insurance was accepted, provided the appropriate paperwork, etc etc. So I wasn't ready to be smacked with paying for the appointment out of pocket when I checked out. The receptionist was definitely NOT interested in helping me sort through it, so when I called my insurance company and they assured me that I was only supposed to pay the $60 copay and not for the entire visit I called back and spoke to the same receptionist. Who again was not interested in helping get it sorted out. Working in healthcare myself I get that dealing with insurance companies can be a pain, but if you're going to be a provider then probably need to get it right. Ultimately I cancelled my next appointment and never went back. read more

Great place If you're looking for any type of chiropractic or rehabilitation. Dr Stratton is very articulate and heavily educated in human anatomy. It was really nice being treated with a lot of questions about ailments and personal history so Dr Stratton could gain a full understand on who you are as a patient as well as a person. Dr Stratton immediately gave me a routine check up and then followed up with some attention to my problem areas. Once the treatment was administered I was given more instruction on how to treat myself at home while waiting for the next follow up visit I would highly recommend this location for anything for a sprained ankle to a car wreck. The facilities are really nice. Dr. John worked with me and immediately pinpointed my problems. I was very impressed with his knowledge and the treatment plan he prescribed. Unfortunately, things go downhill a little bit from there. Aside from the chiropractor, the rest of the treatment is just ok. The assistant I worked with didn't seem to be very happy to be there and wasn't concerned with explaining the what and why when it came to the exercises. There are also some logistical issues (text appointment reminders not working, online exercises not being uploaded to your account, etc.). This rating would be a 5 if only based on the chiropractors. I've been coming to Dr. Stratton for many years, since he was in a much smaller office. I can't imagine trusting any other chiropractor after trusting him and his awesome team. My neck, shoulder, and hip (basically my whole body haha) issues are so much better after working on them with Brock and his team. Though painful, I always feel great afterward. Also, he's always on time for me. I don't think I've ever been seen more than 5 minutes late and if he's running behind we start with heat first so I'm not just sitting doing nothing.
