I absolutely love these lanes! I've bowled here off and on for nearly forty years. Moreso lately as I'm trying to get decent. Beautiful wood lanes, free fall pins of course. Always clean approaches. For what it is, it is a great place to bowl. Relatively cheap in comparison to other alleys. Bowlero is nice, but I would rather frequent here. We went on a Sunday at noon. 2 games for 6 people was $50. That's pretty damn good. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Maybe it doesn't have all of the extra crap that some larger bowling alleys have, but it's well taken care of. We ordered a bunch of different items on the menu. The sampler platter was decent. The wings that were on it were crunchy and flavorful, everything else that came on it was decent( poppers, chicken tenders, onion rings and deep fried mushrooms). The pizza I was told was not everyone's favorite, something about the cheese. Someone also ordered a burger, which after my wife and I saw it, we wished we had ordered it. I tried it and it was delicious. I would say above average for a bowling alley. This is our friends spot for bowling and now more than likely will be ours too! read more

One of the worst experiences I've ever had. We went in on a fairly busy Saturday evening and picked up our shoes. It's important to clarify here - we were never asked for payment, never told there was a time limit on how long we could play, nothing. We were just given our shoes, told which lane to go to and then the cashier moved on to the next group. We ordered some food, drinks and were having fun playing when about halfway through our second game when an announcement comes up that for our lane and several others around us that we need to come pay for our lanes, before our entire game gets shut down. Frustrated, a big group of people walked up to the counter to figure out what was going on. At this point, I think the owner(?) had replaced the previous cashier and was insulting people, and yelling that he'd given everyone a warning. He rudely took our card then, and moved us to another lane at the other end of the alley so we could finish playing. At this point I saw what looked like league players taking over all the lanes that had been vacated. We finished playing, but it really left a sour taste for everyone to have to stop, be insulted, moved around all because the management doesn't explain anything or seem to run the place except to cater to league players. I'm only giving the extra star because their bartenders and other waitstaff were very nice and helpful when it came to delivering food and drinks. read more

Have had a great experience here before, but this place has changed. Two people in our group fell because the shoes and lane didn't allow any room to slide . We also asked for the bumpers 3x and the representative never came out. The customer service was highly lacking. It's a cheap old bowling alley so we didn't expect much but we couldn't enjoy it and left after one game. read more

Today we went with my brother and father we were enjoying our time until the owner's son pushed my little brother who isn't even 6 he is only 5 and when I went to say something to the person how pushed my brother we were the ones getting yelled at, and my father has an accent so when he tried to speak she told me "you need to explain to your father in his language in Spanish what I'm saying to you" only for me to respond "he speaks English and Spanish fluent so you can talk to him and he will understand you" and she even said that he (the person that pushed my brother) that he does it all the time meaning that he pushes people all the time. Just because my father has an accent should not mean that he doesn't know how to speak in English. Giving them 1 star is more then generous! I had my kids birthday party there set it way in advance, we were 5 minutes late and the guy at the counter was so rude I apologized for being late he said don't expect any special favors for being late. I replied I did t expect anything I just wanted to get the kids bowling. We got the kids shoes they placed us on a lane right next to the guy working behind the counter and a few others that were qualifying for something. The guy working the counter was drinking on the job. I have a son who is autistic and he was so happy. The people qualifying for whatever we're making rude remarks calling our kids retards and other stuff. My son loves to bowl but we will never go back there ever again! I spent a lot of money there that day for horrible service. I was heartbroken that people could be so rude and heartless. read more

If I could give zero stars I would, as soon as I walked into the bowling alley I got a really uncomfortable feeling, the place was dirty and grungy and the staff gave off a very rude off vibe. I came on a Sunday night and they close at 10, it was 9:45 and the owner comes up to me and my boyfriend and starts harassing us telling we can't start another game and need to leave and just save our money because they close in 15 minutes. I no longer wanted to play and my bf just wanted to play a round to himself which wouldn't take long at all and I tried to explain that and she just kept making a scene and being extremely rude. I've never been treated so poorly before in a establishment and I'm extremely disappointed. This place use to be a fun family environment about 10 years ago and now it looks like a business for a cover job for junkies. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND health inspectors to come check this place out. I brought my family here tonight to enjoy an evening of bowling fun, but was put off when we walked threw the door to find the attendant playing with his phone. When we asked about the rates he was helpful with the pricing as well as helping us with the shoes. We got our lane set up fine, then started bowling. I almost fell as my shoes stuck like glue to the floor as I tried to bowl. I asked the attendant if they had something to help out with that and he informed me that they have there shoes like that so to not cause scuffed floors as he looked up from his phone yet again. About 4 frames in to our game the lane glitched, I approached the attendant, yet again with his back to the floor messing with his phone; He was annoyed that once again I was asking for his assistance with an issue of there facility. He called to the back to reset the lane, but it was fallowed by another glitch in the next 2 frames and then they closed the lane and moved us to the next lane over, where we finished up our game and decided that we are finished with the the issues and lack of customer service. They also don't play music tell after midnight as it is was explained to me " We don't play music because its not ok with everyone, so we choose to not play music tell midnight." I find it strange that at 730pm on a Saturday that they choice to not have any music. I will not be returning nor recommending Strawberry Lanes to anyone who is interested in bowling based on my experience. read more

Trent the desk clerk is horrible! Would rather have a lane sit empty than have a paying customer base. Refused to rent a lane to us with two 4 yr olds unless we paid $65 for just them two! Finally agree to rent it for $26 and ran credit card twice and refused to take care of it, so now I'm left to call bank for their error. Trent's gma is the manager so I was told so he won't get In any trouble for his bad behavior. I'll take my business elsewhere next time. read more

I give this place five stars because I love it! It's not pretentious, it's not stuffy and it's not so hip it makes you feel uncomfortable. It's just enough right all the way around. I love the people here too, especially the little blonde lady who runs food/bar. (Tip: She suggested a drink called the Orange dreamcycle or something similar, it's pretty tasty) It's like being transported to the set of Roseanne, and I think that's awesome! If you want to go have a grown up night out, drink a little, not spend a lot of money, enjoy yourself without being judged, and just live in the moment this is the place to go. read more

The place was nice and the staff was nice. Although when it came time for me to pay, an outsider had to pull the attendant from his football game on TV. The lanes were overly oily but it was still fun. The score board was not keeping perfect score (pins not counted several times). For a friendly game...it's okay. This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a bowling alley. The place was extremely messy, chaotic , and not to mention very unorganized.My family and I were kept waiting for nearly an hour. We decided to make the best of the situation munching on nachos , and fries while we were waiting for a lane to open. (Server guy was very nice ) We were added to the waiting list by the cashier woman since the rest of the lanes were supposedly "closed". We noticed that nearly half of the bowling lanes were shut down and being unused while they were clearly not out of order. When we pointed this out to staff they half heartedly kept saying they were "cleaning up" yet we saw no one cleaning. We saw families leaving and going to pay yet when they left their bowling screens were shut off ..much to our dismay. Why shut down lanes if there are clearly families waiting to play a game? To make it worse we were told we would be notified when a lane opened up. After waiting for nearly an hour we decided to go home. On the way to the car we had noticed a bunch of pro players making their way into the vicinity. If they were making room for the pros the least the company could have done was be honest and not have people waiting for nearly an hour and shutting down perfectly available lanes. Will never go here again nor do I recommend spending any money here. It's worth the extra time to go to Everett or Lynnwood for a cleaner facility, nicer staff, and the professionalism of a bowling alley you would be proud to go to. read more

They cater only to leagues during the week. Bit of advice to keep customers happy at least have a few lanes for those of us who work in the mornings and don't want to bowl "after 9" when leagues leave and would like to take out kids out for a fun evening. read more

The staff was very rude. The game kept malfunctioning. We had to ask for help numerous times. One of the times it malfunctioned I guess someone was in the back working on it, and when the game appeared to be fixed we kept on bowling. There was never any indication on the screen or otherwise that we should not have began bowling and no communication from the staff about what was going on. So my husband bowls his turn because the issue appeared to be fixed and then out storms a girl from the back looking pissed, he goes over to ask what happened and to apologize because we began to suspect she might have been hurt, and the worker told us that she was really pissed and he might have broken her hand (why would you say this to a customer?). My husband then went out of his way to have her come out so he could apologize to her personally and she told him to "be more careful next time." Again there was no indication whatsoever at the time that we should not have been bowling, no red screen, no stop sign on the screen, no one told us anyone was going back there. Maybe you guys should be more careful next time? To top it off we could see the staff talking crap about us after everything happened. After they failed to fix that lane, they moved us to another lane with bumpers that wouldn't go all the way down.. and of course there was another malfunction there on our last turn. We gave up and left after that. Needless to say there was no reciprocal apology for the constant malfunctioning of the game, for forgetting to get us our food, or for the rude staff. First and last time ever coming here. Such an awful small town back alley place, their staff's attitude is about as grimy as their 1980s carpet. read more

Run down and over paid and gentleman behind the counter (don't know his name but had trashy "love" tattoo on left arm)was very rude and disrespectful to my husband when asking a question on the pricing. We had went here a couple weeks ago and was charged a way cheaper price so we were confused on why he was charging us double. I had my four year old daughter's birthday party here. Purchased their party package that included 2 hours of bowling, 5 pairs of shoes, a pizza, and a pitcher of soda per lane. $70 per lane. Not sure if this is a good deal or not, didn't feel like it. The pizza was okay. Lanes kept messing up and returning all the pins instead of just the ones remaining. There were 3 men running things. None really seemed to know what was going on. Made two of our guests pay for their own shoes when I paid for 10 pairs. They were also rather rude, definitely need help in customer service. All in all, my four year old had fun for about 30 mins, but I would definitely not book another party there. We'll be sticking to Rocket Alley. Also they don't have ball ramps to help assist the little ones who lack the strength it takes to get the ball to the pins. Looked as though they don't even have ones to offer for handicapped bowlers. read more

We are last minute bowlers, meaning that we decide at 3 in the afternoon to go bowling that Saturday night! Most places are already booked out! What I appreciated about Strawberry Lanes was you can go in and place your name on a list, and you can be called to bowl in 15 mins to an hour. It is open to families and groups of friends on a first come first serve basis on saturday nights. It is an older bowling alley, but it has cool graphics on the computer counters, and it has an old town vibe to it, in a very good way!! The atmosphere was fun, loud, and kinda crazy. My kids fit right in!! We did get some dirty looks from the "PROFESSIONAL BOWLERS" next to us when our kids didn't wait to throw the ball until they were done in the lane next to us (seriously? we didn't know) but that was other patrons. The staff rocked! I was going to give 4 stars but because of the gentleman that helped us, I am giving 5. When we got there we were like 10th or 11th on the list and he told us realistically the wait is probably around an hour. So we put our name down and told him we were going elsewhere to eat, we would have probably eaten there but it was packed and no where to sit with 3 small kids. So we left and came back an hour later, literally as we walked in the door he called our name. As we got up to the counter, he goes I have been calling you every 15 mins, (when we left he called us 10minutes later, but instead of taking us off the list, he left us on and continued to call us until we got back~ AWESOME!!!) We bowled for 1.5 hours, 2 games until the leagues started, and we honestly had a BLAST!! My daughter is 5 and did the two handed between her legs swing, while my boys 9 and 7 were able to throw it pretty well normally, although I am sure wii bowling has helped!! :) When we went to check out, the same guy at the counter that kept us on the list charged us all the kid rate, and charged us for only 2 pairs of shoes instead of 5. It saved us around $10-$15, which is great, we would have gladly paid it, we had that much fun, but what sold us and will keep us coming back, was that he was just so nice about it. It was just the icing on the cake! You could tell that he really wanted us to have a good time, and was just glad that we did! My kids have asked twice in the past week when we are going back!! read more

We met a friend for bowling here. The place is fairly run down and no music (late afternoon on a Friday). We went to pay our 1 bottle of beer tab and I requested to pay for the bowling on the same charge since we were leaving. The older man who works there said that there isn't a place to leave a tip so we would have to tell them. He then gave my bill to the lady who bills for the bowling and said I wanted to pay for it all together and says "the little lady wants to leave me a tip as well". I had not said this as well but felt pity for him at the same time. All the man had done was hand us a beer from the fridge. The man ask for a tip from our friend who paid after us.
