Free to access if you're military. It's more of a multi use facility including it bowling alley, library, gaming center, bar, and indoor play area. We mainly use the indoor play area which definitely comes in handy when the weather isn't the greatest. Did I mention it's free?? So can save some time and money and just head here rather than drive off island to find something for the kids to do. Not the fanciest set up but it gets the job done as far as letting my little one play and run out some energy. Also, there's no designated area for little kids and big kids. There's an activity wall for toddlers but that's it. So at times the big kids can be a bit too rough or unaware of the little ones that are playing until the same area. The food at the cafe is decent. Not the best but not the worst either. We usually just bring snacks with us and eat meals elsewhere read more

I have been going here for years with no problem..until today. Brought the family for play at 5:10, they close at 6. The cashier said that the cook is not there because he makes 25 dollars an hour, and that the menu is limited to a few items..no kids menu because they close in 50 minutes. Very unprofessional to make excuses for not doing your job. read more

MWR. Still has no clue how to run a business. in case they forgot MWR stands for moral, welfare and recreation. Its supposed to be about taking care of the service members. All they care about anymore is making money. This is the most expensive place to go on whidbey island. Go to oak bowl and support a local business. read more

This place is not open to civilians unless you go with an active military sponsor. Wanted to get this out there since we didn't see anything in the reviews or heir website that said that and we had some pretty angry kids when we drove out there and couldn't get in. There is another bowling alley in the Oak Harbor area so there are options but don't try to come here with no military friends :) read more

Just had my daughters 3RD birthday here and it was awesome. The staff was amazing and helpful. We only paid 50 bucks and it was well worth it. If you pay 100 you get a personal assistant! They have bowling parties also! So fun! read more

This used to be a multi lane bowling ally. Since they closed the Enlisted club, Library and Marina. It now serves as a multi use facility housing Outdoor rec, Tickets and Tours, Kids play, Bowling, Computers, and a sports bar all in one area. They really should consider parking the boats someplace else as they take up much needed parking. I almost forgot that keglers cafe is in this building also. read more

On NASWI Base Its a great place for Families as there are several free things for the kids to do games like ping pong, pool, and air hockey, a video game room, and a all be it small indoor playground there is also a small library for quiet time. Bowling is not free but not that expensive either and they have fun events for kids though they can be overcrowded. I love going here with my two kids 3 and 12 as they can play and with keglers café I don't have to cook one meal. As for the bad reviews this is what I have to say. The food is really not that over priced I mean its not the dollar menu at Mc Donalds but a good burger or club sandwich and french-fries for 8 bucks is normal people, and they do have a kids menu, and yes its on a navy base and BTW it is on a navy website so yes you need a military family member with you of course, bars are always overpriced its a bar right, I don't bowl much but when I have I have never had a problem, and the people there are really friendly as far as I've seen.Yes sometimes big kids get rambunctious but that is not the fault of the facility which does try to control that so be a parent and speak up. It is not a place to go get drunk and wild though occasionally that can be a problem. I suppose the staff would get rude at that point. There can be lots of children so it is better tuned to families. However, I can't tell you how disappointed I was with my two pizzas. I have been wanting to try pizza from Oak Bowl & Mario's Pizza for the past few months and ordered it today. However, I ate slightly under one slice from each of these limp noodled pizzas and the rest went straight into the trash. It's hard to explain how I felt after trying the pizza. It's not really good, it's not really bad, it's not really flavorful and it doesn't even feel like I'm actually eating a pizza? The crust is missing that firmness, the bubbles, the crunch, the flavor and the ability to even support itself when grabbing a slice one handed out of the box. My only advice would be to reexamine your entire pizza making process. I would prioritize researching a school, or individual trained in the art of making pizza dough and sending an owner or trusted employee to go learn the process and bring that knowledge back to the business and train others. In the end, I wish I would have taken a few photos to add to this review but I didn't think it would be fair to this business digging slices out of the trash just for a review photo.

Looking to turn things around, I decide to install the kid seat on the back of my wife's bike for our 2 y.o. so we can do the ol' family bike ride (that'll fix it!). In a moment of overzealousness though, I give that over-tight, cheap screw in the back of her bike a turn-too-many with the allen wrench: it's stripped, but maybe salvageable. But what do I do? I think, "I can still get it...." So I jump back in there: cheap screw vs. cheap allen wrench, and I send that screw straight to The Land of No Return. It's never coming out now. Enter Seth and Meat Machine. Now, mind you, I had already been down there the day before - or my wife had - for another bike-related issue (I told you - it was that kind of weekend). So, I limp in there, figuratively speaking, and in my shame I present El Strippo to Seth. What does he do? He doesn't make my feel bad. He doesn't hesitate. Immediately, almost un-questioningly, he throws that bad boy up on the lift. He explains that this is not going to be easy and expresses concern that he'll break the head off the screw and then it's done (the seat is never going on in that case). He tries one expensive hex after another. No dice. Last resort: he busts out the blow torch. "Let's put a little heat on it." And he does, and, like magic, that baby starts to move! With the turning of the screw, hearts lift, hope returns - the screw it out. The day - the family bike ride - is saved. No charge. I headed outside and, literally, the clouds cleared (though I'm not sure I credit Seth with that one). But he and Meat Machine did save the day, no doubt. Great little shop. Friendly helpful guys. Very grateful to them! Thank you!!

She went in and saw a bike for sale…read morethat she was potentially interested in purchasing and sat on it only to get talked down to and yelled at. Nothing was broken, no bike was rolled away with, Kenny just needs to take a class or read a book or two on customer service. Shortly before she came in I was in the store looking to rent a bike. I came in with the intention of renting at 2:30 on a Tuesday and returning 10:00 am on Thursday around 44 hours. So I asked if he could give me a potential discount and he basically laughed in my face and said no, we only do calendar day rentals. So $72 a day, which is ridiculous because the other local bike store rentals for $45 a day for a similar bike. For 3 days, there is a 3 day discount of $24 off equalling $192, still ridiculous for 44 hours. They did have ten or so identical bikes outside so Kenny must be a trust fund baby or something just leaving business out there. Neither of us got a welcoming experience or any type of feeling of hospitality or simply want to have us in the store. I recommend Lopez kayaks and bicycle works just down the road, completely different experience. The only reason we didn't is they weren't open for the season yet. Id rather walk the island than rent from Village Cycles.

The club has a dress code: a collared shirt for men and no shorts for women. So, as a female, I went with my black and white Under Armour shoes, black athletic sweatpants, and a dark red crew neck sweatshirt. I cut my hair myself in a 5 millimeter buzzcut style on the Tuesday (9 May 2023) before the lunch to be crisp for the occasion. I encountered no problems in the workers correctly identifying my gender, and was not turned away. The floor plan/spacing between the tables was pleasant and the chairs had wheels on the bottom, making them easy to move, which I found nice. The lunch buffet had a breakfast section, a more savory lunch section, and a dessert section. All of the items I tried, including scrambled eggs and salsa, salad, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and a cheese blintz, were tasty. My belly was content after one round of the main buffet items. For dessert I went with a carefully cut square/rectangle of yellow cake (not lemon cake) that had a good classic yellow cake flavor and a fluffy/airy cream cheese frosting. The frosting paired with the cake exquisitely and I did not share. All of the workers were friendly and the parking lot was easily accessible. The front also has an area to pull up and pick-up/drop-off people, which was perfect for grandma.
