We engaged Streamline to remove and replace a very old evergreen tree.  Upon installation, we pointed out the fact that the tree had some notable issues including browning and droopy branches and washed out color. We were assured that all of this would correct and upon establishing, the tree would be fine. Initial discussions with Jason at Streamline were ineffective as he repeatedly denied that there was any issue, and insisted that time would remedy any imagined shortcomings of the tree that he had installed and insisted was perfectly healthy. After a stalemate ensued, I decided to put aside my skepticism and look for a mutually beneficial way out of the situation. Over the next few weeks, as the tree continued to struggle, losing more branches, volume and color, Jason offered nothing more than a suggestion to delay for another month to give the tree a chance to establish itself to better judge its long term prospects. I reluctantly agreed, waited and followed his instructions. A month passed and the tree continued to deteriorate. Upon followup (always me having to follow up with him, never a proactive inquiry from Jason), he suggested contacting the nursery (Fiore Nursery in Lake Zurich) that supplied the tree. Despite Jason telling me that he had already been in contact with them and that he had provided them with all of the background, no one there had heard of any of this. But, they said they would contact him and follow up with me.  A week went by with no response and I reached out again. Jason's final prescription after two months of delay was just to wait until spring. No follow up visit to assess for himself, no compromise. Just go away. In conclusion, the mark of a professional and a company that you can feel confident working with is their willingness to listen and work with you to ensure that everyone has lived up to their end of the arrangement. If you choose to work with Jason at Streamline or Fiore Nursery, based on my experience, you can expect a subpar product, unprofessional behavior, gaslighting, obfuscation and a complete and total dismissal of any concerns or issues that you raise. read more

These guys are great. Jason came out on a Sunday afternoon. Did his measurements and gave us our quote. Wednesday morning we had a 15x30 section of lawn ripped out and replaced before 5 p.m. the lawn looks great. They had too come back to lower the grade by a gate. Job was pieced together, seams either had gaps or glue in the turf, fasteners were highly visible, the entire job was botched and they continue to fight over responsibility and or any refund. I found Jason through Facebook app actual. I had called several places in a week with no calls, no emails, no contact what so ever and he showed up the next day. I will never understand why people don't want work. Anyways, I explained what I wanted he gave me a quote signed up that day. His crew showed up the very next day. We were not home when they did the work, by the end of the day the sod was in and the stone was done for the pavers. The next day it rained and in day 3 he workers were there bright and early. By the end if the day pavers where in. His paver guy stayed til he eas completely finished. Jason came bavk the next day to do a few touch ups and get his equoimemt. Streamline cleaned up and hauled away a mess of old bricks, chunks of concrete, remnants of an old wood fence and all the weeds which covered the back half my backyard. They tilled and leveled the grade. It's awesome now. Nice clean smooth dirt ready for the privacy fence to be installed (next week) and then sod. In the spring I will be back in touch with Streamline for some landscape design also for the backyard. Jason promptly returned my initial phone call and went over to my house that same day to write up an estimate. We have used Streamline for several projects on our home over the past few years. Sump pump hose repair, landscape design, old plants removed and install new landscaping, and tree/shrub trimming. Every time, they have impressed me with their hard work and politeness. Jason, the owner, cares about customer satisfaction and is very prompt about getting things done. One time I realized (after the workers left) that a bush needed to be placed in a different spot, so I contacted him and they came back the same day to correct it. We hired Streamline Landscaping to excavate the old landscaping in front of the house, design and install new landscaping. Overall I can't rate them very highly. As we are not landscaping experts we were relying on their expertise which seemed very professional at first but wasn't followed through the entire project. The good: their price seemed reasonable and they were able to do our job the next week instead of having to wait for weeks; the three guys who showed up to excavate all the old landscaping out worked really hard (it was 93F that day) and were very efficient. The bad: the design was hand drawn, had to be explained and then never shared with the landscaping crew. They also ordered too many bushes for the size of the space which we had to pay for. The ugly: they left a mess - not only in our yard and sidewalk but on our neighbour's driveway!!! This was pointed out and we were told someone would come back the next day, but they didn't. The Annabelle's they planted are in poor shape - we're not sure they're going to last. There's a 4% charge for using your card (was told this while I was on the phone after I had paid the deposit) They also complained that the job took longer than they thought it would (they were there for 1 1/2 days). read more

They also proactively called the local utility location service to make sure all underground utilities were properly marked off.
