They left cigarette butts on the lawn and empty water bottles in an empty flower pot. They wouldn't discuss it at our home that day implying they didn't speak English. After several weeks, I accepted a deal for them to finish removing one they left unfinished and take out all trimmings. They cut the tree and left the cuttings. Feeling they had broken our agreement I called and they sent someone else out. I told them a dollar amount I'd accept to repair the shed roofs, He said a super would come out. No one ever did. After another call to them. The man, who said his name was Jose, made an appt to come out at 11:00 on Friday. I waited 45 minutes. They never came and never called. That, to me was the worst of it all. I called, spoke with a woman, than a man yet whatever they were doing I couldn't understand/hear a word he said and he hung up. My email has gone unanswered. I wouldn't recommend them to do any work at a private home, ever.

They then aimed the v cut so it would hit my house and it did (I cut trees professionally in my youth). Luckily I have very hard siding and there was no damage. I was standing in my bedroom window and when the tree came down I had to run to the other side of the room. I heard and felt the tree hit my house. They denied it of course. The job was delayed, communication was poor throughout, and my property was damaged. The crew also left the work in an unacceptable condition as a completed job before I had to request them to correct the horrible planting (see photo). What professional company would leave a job like this? What's most frustrating is that I simply requested a $250 refund (about 20% of the total cost) to cover the damage. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, I was put through an unnecessarily difficult process. I ultimately paid the full invoice just to move on. This company used to provide reliable, high-quality service, which is why I stayed with them for so long. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. At risk of falling on the house in the next storm, and unable to be climbed due to the precarious nature of the damage, Homer Tree showed up with 4 trucks and a master crew who used a crane and bucket truck to safely saw through the trunk and lift the entire canopy out in two enormous sections, which went right into the chipper. They cut out the rest of the trunk, ground down the stump and the last guy on site used a rake to pick up every last stick and leaf. 45 minutes of extraordinary professionalism. These guys know their stuff. We were extremely sad to lose our amazing, beloved tree but glad we didn't have to worry about or home or property being damaged by inexpert removal. And we were very pleased with the pricing and response time, especially after a disastrous weather event. We heard some outrageous price-gouging quotes. Pros - The quote Fernando gave me was fair, and he and his team did a decent job…read more Cons - If he agrees to do the job, be prepared to be ghosted or have your time wasted. He came a day later than he told me he would, without telling me ahead of time. Replaced my mulched area with gravel without telling me. He also left a giant pile of gravel on my lawn for a full day, killing a big patch of grass. I needed paver bricks laid, and he rebuilt pillars on the patio without telling me. While rebuilding the pillars, he cut the wire that was connected to light fixtures that are on top of the pillars. Fernando would not admit that he cut the wire, but I confirmed with an electrician that there is no power running to the end of those wires, so they were cut along the way. After weeks of calling Fernando and asking him to come out to take a look at the light fixtures, he either never responded or ghosted me. Stay safe and spend a little more money to have work done by people that won't damage your property and won't waste your time.
