I needed a car wash really badly. I drive an older car and honestly, getting this thing washed is kind of like putting lipstick on a pig. But my Hamptons itinerary included spots that have valet and I wanted to feel a little less embarrassed, so I headed to Strebel's based on their good reviews. I opted for the full service interior and exterior wash but skipped the tire shine (it was only a few bucks extra but ehh). As they vacuumed out the interior, I watched the attendant take out everything from my trunk which I totally didn't expect him to do, bang off each beach chair and vacuum all the sand out of my car, every last grain. I ran over and gave this guy a nice tip because to me that was above and beyond - no one looks in my trunk except me, this was totally unnecessary but very nice. My car came out looking spotless, and I felt so much less embarrassed than I had when I drove into Strebel's (though still a little embarrassed to have my non-fancy car from the 90's washed alongside Teslas and Jaguars). read more

One of the only hand wash car washes around. I don't like automated car washes I feel they are too harsh on the paint. The staff does a thorough job and the protective sealant they use keeps the car looking good while repelling dirt and water for a couple weeks. read more

I've been coming to Strebel's for many years with several cars I've owned and cannot say enough about Steve and his staff. As the saying goes "you get what you pay for" and here, your car will never look any better almost as if you've just driven it off the showroom floor. The prices are more than fair considering the level of detail and service. They use high quality tools and products and take their time regardless of how long the line is to make sure your car drives away looking perfect. You will also (many times if not most) see Steve the owner, giving his final once over prior to getting back in to your vehicle. One of a kind car wash with one of a kind service. 10/10 read more

So disappointed! First off - car gets looked over before guy decides how much to charge. $40.70 for my little Subaru that was pretty tidy. Noticed missed areas of windshield as I drove off. I had to wipe the interior down as misses were everywhere. Exterior - bugs left on everywhere. The trim creases were still dirty too. Rewashed all myself. This is so sad! read more

Took my 2008 Volkswagen EOS to Steve and Mark for a Detail. After 6 hours of work my car looks brand new. They got the interior cleaned and perfect! They polished out 99% of scratches. Took their tome and did it right! If you have an older car that you want to make it look special again bring it to them! read more

Small compared to most car wash. However, the work was excellent. All hand washed and dry. One car at a time, no conveyer belt setup. Very through, even the drying process. Just be prepared to wait. With 4 cars in front of me, from the time I got on line to I drove off it was 45 minutes. But worth the wait. They're certainly not rushing cars thru. They charge $5 extra for SUV's. Steve and his crew are very professional: it doesn't matter whether you have an expensive ride or an average car - they will take care of you the same way and the end result is always perfect. You don't have to worry about them scratching your car and if your car needs more TLC than a wash, their detailing service (including dent removal) is simply superb. Its not fast because its thorough, so bring a newspaper and let them do their magic. I prepaid for 10 washes at a discount and they keep my ticket there and know me by name when i come. Hands down the best car wash on Long Island. Run by a very professional, service oriented nice guy who inspects every car and makes sure that you are happy with the results. The employees are seriously working hard, and there is a decent place to sit inside (unlike other car washes). There is usually a long line, but don't let it fool you, it is worth it! It does take a bit of time, but that is because they are meticulous about each car. You might pass it so keep your eyes open, it is right next to the laundromat. read more

Good hand wash indicated by the long lines especially from MD-LD. Each car takes 35-45 minutes large SUV's and trucks even longer so plan accordingly when you go past the gates. They aren't cheap actually expensive you get what you pay for by living in the Hamptons. read more

I have never been to a car wash that does a better job than Strebels. They are meticulous and my car looks new every time I go. They will even fold seats down to vacuum thoroughly. The only downside is that it can take a while, but it's worth it. We just went and to say our car was a disaster is an understatement. Sand and hair from a dirty dog, crumbs and milk stains from a 1-year-old, etc., and it is spotless now. Highly recommend. read more

First time getting car washed here but it won't be the last! Great attention to detail. Ordered a #3 which is pretty much your basic car wash but they cleaned the inside of all the door jams, and running boards, & vacuumed the trunk on my SUV.....found a few things under the seats I didn't even know were there (a Christmas present I never gave to my daughter).
