Stumbled upon this spot while walking around the mall looking for lunch today. It was one of the very few in the food court that was open. I really like the counter decor as I'm a big fan of food trucks. Anyway, ordered the pork sliders as many had recommend and the 2 meat special. After, reviewing my receipt realized we were overcharged because the gentlemen didn't realize sides came with the special and charged us. In which case, I asked if we could get extra for paying extra and he was happy to do so. Honestly, I was not upset because it was huge portions and the elotes is off the chain. I could've eaten both bowls. That was the highlight of the meal. Meat was a bit dry, sliders prob could've used a sauce. I prob wouldn't come back for the Bbq but the elotes is the winner. read more

Street bites is an eclectic catering company that features popular street food favorites from all around the globe. Perfect for someone like me who will eat anything from anywhere :-) They did a pop up at my place of work and their staff were very friendly and quick in getting out the food to the very long line. I ordered a bulgogi beef rice bowl, which is obviously the Korean representation on the menu board. They had very generous amounts of beef heaped over white rice and came with a crunchy side salad. The beef were cut more like chunks instead of the traditional thin slices, which I personally didn't care for, but that's a matter of choice. Unfortunately the beef was a little chewy as it had obviously been cooking a while, but it is understandable since they're not cooking to order on this occasion. The sauce was also a bit too sweet for my taste, teriyaki perhaps? Dunno. I'd have preferred some fiery gochujang, but that's just me. The side salad gave a bit of crunch, which was a big plus for me as it added that extra bit of texture. Overall it was a 3/5 for me. The chocolate chip bread pudding with vanilla sauce was absolutely wonderful. Very generous portion which can easily be shared between 4 people on diets or 2 who aren't. read more

Resisting every way to never eat this place, I finally surrendered. My all too beautiful girlfriend said she wanted to eat it, even though she had ate it many times. Looking back, I think I didn't want to eat it because it was too popular and there was the debacle with The big "Street" bites logo saying "I'm king of the world!" It wasn't just about the menu, it was about a giant brisket booming in flavor and taking over . Combining a great brisket with pickles never works that well, but this time it did. The flavor is about the main ingredients ... and really about everyone, capable or not, on that fateful voyage. We meet all the different types of people as the crew readies to cook off. The snobbish rich, and the ones in steerage who were inspirations headed to Music city mall. The appreciation for all the people, including the crew, is magic. You learn about the people, the times, the food, and the foolish. It went down The tacos are stunning. They combine the product with the demand today, using hot stuff and cutting with knives until it fills with life and joy. The results are perfectly achieved and give true perspective on the impact this stuff has to this day. It was a taco of dreams for all aboard, then their taco of nightmares. And competition has Jack compared to the top of the grand centerpiece escalators , hair slicked aside, waiting with their wonderful soft smiles for Everyone to join them again while the familiar crew watch the reunion with smiles. They had one of their trucks on the Utdallas campus today. It was a toss up between Sir Franks and Street Bites. It was the Mac n cheese that helped me make the choice to go with street bites. I ordered the pork belly sliders beer battered Mac n cheese and the chocolate chip bread pudding. Unfortunately they were out of the bread pudding. Then one of the employees tried to sell me on their churros and when I declined started to pressure me to get them. No thanks churros are not a substitute for bread pudding. After receiving my food the "crispy sweet potato" that's advertised to go on the slider is nothing more than undercooked sweet potato fries. There is nothing more than the pork belly sweet potato fries (undercooked) and red onion and it's more falling out and around the slider buns. The slider is pretty dry however the pork belly does have good flavor. I definitely do recommend the beer battered Mac n cheese. They are more of Mac n cheese bites and are delicious with a little spice. read more

Disappointing. Proposal options listed what would be available with our package but come day of event, it was either brisket tacos or sliders only. This was written abruptly on a small piece of paper. No veggie option was available as advertised. The brisket wasn't bad but pretty much no one ate the elotes. Tacos: would not recommend. I tried contacting the company during the event as well as left a voicemail to figure out the situation but did not receive any correspondence. Y'all pulled up to my apartment and served some of the most lack luster food, were an hour late, forgot an item in my order, and left an item at the restaurant. Ive been in the industry for years and never seen such a quarter assed attempt at food service. Your cashier/ customer facing kept touching a personal phone, touched her face twice, didnt change gloves and looked like she was in over her head with 3 tickets. I want to like everyone who does food, but this didn't seem like you guys even tried. Go back to the drawing board. Also, "chef" Evan, if you see this being a line cook for 6 months and transferring to an F&B manager doesn't qualify you to write a menu, let alone call yourself chef. I haven't written a review in a looong time, but I enjoyed the pork belly sliders so much (crispy & melt-in-your-mouth goodness) that I had to give props. I LOVE & APPRECIATE Street Bites Food Truck! I have had their food several times at Peticolas Brewery and Community Brewery in Design District. Here are the aspects I love about Street Bites: 1. The owner / operator from what I have learned is a chef with culinary background & studies from Johnson & Wales Culinary School. It's obvious to me and pretty cool to know the chef has such background. From my experience.... that doesn't happen in other trucks. 2. I appreciate his unique attention to detail in menu selection & food preparation! 3. In my experience he has been responsive but really quick when I have ordered! It's obvious he is a hard worker! 4. I love the variety of menu options Street Bites puts together. I like how he isn't tied down to a certain style or genre of food. A lot of his food is creative. 5.
