This store is a little hidden gem in the corner of the San Gabriel valley…read more I needed invitations to an upcoming summer event, and something a little bit snazier and with a personal touch than what you buy at the greeting card stores, but not as ridiculously expensive. (My parents were getting remarried for their anniversary). Thanks to the Yelp reviews I drove to this small store, and was surprised by the quality and atmosphere of Periwinkle. * This place was the best of all worlds for me *: - A truly new shopping discovery, as I do not buy a lot of paper products - Hints of quality vintage material, which I am appreciating as I get older - That sense that I am getting a great deal on stuff that would normally be a LOT more expensive elsewhere. (let me translate that into shopping-speak: Prices are SALE PRICES elsewhere!!!!) - Great personal service by the staff, who were eager to help me make style and color decisions without pushing or up-selling anything my way - Bringing back that childhood joy of watching my own product come together before my eyes, done by my own hands. Like crafts shop, but at an adult, professional level - And did I mention the staff was helpful? I felt more like I was at a friend's house working on a project than at some store with a body minding the counter waiting for the clock to hit quitting time. I kid you not that I felt giddy in the store, and wanted to stay long after closing time to come up with different and new ideas of things to create and add to my parents wedding (and my own home.) When I got my final bill for my sale, I could not believe how much I had saved. It is a bit of a drive, but well worth it. Needless to say my family has been surprised by the quality of the invites, and I am very pleased with my experience. I am looking for any excuse just to go back there and work on something again.

It packs a lot of…read moreunique, homemade, and/or vintage items into a seemingly small space and even has room for a workshop area where they hold classes and events. Staff are helpful and welcoming and prices are pretty decent for the quality. I came during the holiday season and the vibes were festive and fun! I walked away with some cute and unique vintage Christmas decorations that my cats won't be able to destroy lol - as well as some soup starters that have all been absolutely delicious so far! They've been so good, in fact, that I scoured the web and found the company online so I can order from them again in the future (it's Anderson House Frontier Soups - they use minimal all natural ingredients and have a wide variety of flavors - fantastic soups!). I also snagged a dip mix and they had locally made honeys, jams, candies, and even fresh gourmet coffee beans and an antique grinder. And if you love to decorate with any rooster or chicken themed items, Shabbyology is your jam! If my kitchen wasn't already packed full of rooster-themed decor, I would've walked away with so much more. They also host occasional themed "sip and shop" nights where they offer entertainment and various drinks and nibbles while you browse. They have a digital newsletter to keep you informed of upcoming events and classes so be sure to sign up! Their location is a tad strange for the genre of store - they're found in a large industrial complex and their shop blends in among all the beige, nondescript buildings. If it wasn't for Google Maps I would've driven right past. But there's plenty of free parking. I enjoyed my visit and will definitely stop by again!

The staff is always friendly and helpful. They offer senior discounts on Tuesdays FYI. They recently changed over to a new name back around November 2025 to Trudy's Hallmark. The manager told me they are no longer with corporate, or was it the other way around? In any case, it resulted in a bunch of things going on clearance to clear out the merchandise for new things - yay for me because I found lots of good things at great prices including my new favorite "Family Movie Night" blanket. I guess there might be a few changes, but I can't really tell. Download the Hallmark app to accumulate Crown Rewards points that are converted to reward dollars to spend at the store or online!
