They do not have a Happy Hour menu, but have a couple of rotating cocktails and wines that your server will tell you about if you ask. Lovely outdoor restaurant on the third floor of the Loews hotel. It was pretty empty so we were seated right away. I was a little annoyed they asked us for the bar first given that the place was empty but they didn't push back when we said we wanted a table. I understand the bar ask if you are alone but there were two of us and we wanted dinner not just a drink. We were lucky to have come on a Wednesday which is their pink day so items that are in pink on the menu were only $10. The $10 special included a couple drinks and a few appetizers. I get the Camellia which was a gin cocktail and had a nice balance of tartness and sweetness. For apps, we tried the bruschetta and chicken tacos which were both $10 specials. The bruschetta was on large crusty chunks of bread and topped with prosciutto and frisée. Small layer of tomato but the flavors balanced well. The chicken tacos were interesting. It was Asian fusion with orange chicken and Mexican toppings. I got branzino for my entree. When it came, I was surprised that it had all the bones in it as I am used to the restaurant removing that for you. I asked the waiter if I could get it removed. I ended up leaving to go to the hotel's downstairs bar (MUCH better experience) and overheard a group of people voicing frustrations about the same. My dream is to have him as a private chef forever, he is an amazing soul who is passionate about his craft! Fairly nice terrace in streeterville. It's nice to be outside and not have to deal with cars driving by, however, I would not say this is a rooftop compared to others at nearby hotels and bars. It is on the 3rd floor of the Loew's hotel. Unfortunately, I was seated at a table tucked to the back and didn't get to enjoy the nice ambiance despite making a reservation. I did get prime viewing of an indoor hotel pool. Drinks are good but extremely expensive. Prepare to pay $14-$18 for each cocktail. I would avoid the food. It's ok if you are really hungry but it's extremely expensive fairly normal food. I had the chicken tempura tacos . Extremely spicy and nothing to write home about. Come here for a nice ambiance but don't expect a high rooftop or inexpensive drinks. read more

Two of us arrived Friday evening for our 5pm reservation. We were seated at a 2-top next to the bar. We had food and cocktails. We were just getting ready to order another cocktail and had been there for about 1.5 hours (maybe a little longer) when the manager (his name was something like Ilhan) came to our table to tell us that we had 15 min left before we needed to leave. He said the hostess should have told us when we arrived that we could only have the table for 1.5 hours. She did not. He said, "well she should have and I will speak to her about that." We were both stunned. We looked around and saw that there were other tables open and several open seats at the bar. When I made the reservation I had intended that we would most likely want to hang out there for a few hours. Their website or the Resy app does not list any time limitation that I could find. The manager never offered that we could move to the bar so we assumed those seats were "reserved" as well. He exhibited terrible hospitality. Then he sent another manager and the hostess who checked us in to our table...not really sure what the purpose of that was. They told us we could sit at the bar but at that point we had no desire to stay so we paid our check and left. Our server, Giselle, was very sweet and the best part of our time there. Again, there were open tables and no one waiting to come in so I'm not sure what the big rush was. A DJ had started playing just before we left. The majority of the people there were probably in their 20's and 30's. We couldn't help but feel like we were pushed out because we are more mature. We have $ and we always tip well so it's their loss. Also, they posted on their Instagram page within about an hour of when we left with the DJ playing and panning the rooftop where there were still open tables and 2-tops by the bar where we had been sitting and several open bar seats. read more

When I went Streeterville Social was doing cocktails in juice pouches and let you order food there from local restaurants in the area. The drinks were absolutely delicious, the tables were spaced out, and it was not tooooo crowded. I really enjoyed our service and the outdoor ambience on a Friday Night. Since Streeterville isn't "poppin" on the weekends, its the perfect place to be for an upscale vibe that is fun but not too loud. I am going back this weekend to do it all again; it's a great way to try local restaurants in the area but also get to be on a rooftop with a great beverage! Parking - if you are parking I recommend using spothero and parking in AMC's lot; it was the cheapest and 3 min walk from Streeterville Social! read more

Tucked away from bustling downtown is this gem at the Loews Hotel. What a pleasant surprise to still be downtown but away from all the noise! I was recently staying at the Loews Chicago hotel on business. My convention was located at the adjacent Sheraton Grand Chicago hotel. Both hotels were affiliated with my convention. I heard that Loews in May 2018 added a rooftop terrace on their 3rd floor named "Streeterville Social". I visited the Streeterville Social first on a Saturday for some cocktails, which I enjoyed after my lunch. I visited a second time on the following day of Sunday, for a late lunch, since I already enjoyed a late brunch at another restaurant. I will summarize both my Saturday and Sunday visits here especially Sunday. My party of 3 arrived on Sunday after our late brunch around 3pm. We found both restaurants in the hotel offered limited snacks during the kitchen's transition from lunch to dinner during the mid-afternoon. I thought this was odd. I started again with my favorite rosarita for $15, which I enjoyed on my Saturday visit. The rosarita is made with sauza gold tequila, revolution rosa hibiscus ale, lime, and simple syrup. Then I followed again with two sunbeams for $16 each. I also enjoyed my sunbeam on Saturday. The sunbeam is made with Jim Beam bourbon, Domaine De Canton, rose liqueur, lemon, and simple syrup. As per my Saturday visit I enjoyed both my rosarita and my sunbeam equally as well. They are my favorite cocktails here. A glass of wine was $12. We had to wait until around 4pm when the kitchens re-opened to serve a wider selection of food choices. We shared the lamb skewers for $16. My guest enjoyed the social hot dog for $9. My personal shared favorites were the sharing of the calamari for $18 and the chicken wings for $16. The lamb skewers were a bit tough and not as enjoyable as our other shared plates. Our early dinner set me back $192 less gratuities for my party of three. Adriana accommodated our needs well. I will definitely return here for some really nice views of the Streeterville area. read more

I know you're partially paying for the view, but since this is a terrace and not a rooftop, it really wasn't anything noteworthy. This place has been on my list of places to visit for a long time. Pros: - The drinks we ordered were absolutely delicious! The waitress' drink recommendation was very spot on and so refreshing. - The rooftop can easily accommodate a large group or a lot of people on a Friday/Saturday night. - The staff was attentive and made sure we never ran out of drinks. Which was a plus on a hot day such as on the day I visited. Cons: - They didn't allow us to use that had the lawn games and lounge chairs because during the summertime it's only available for private events. I was disappointed because the lawn area was one of the only reasons that I wanted to check out Streeterville social. - The rooftop heated up rather quickly since the umbrellas didn't seem to be positioned in a great enough way to block the sun at high noon. - Price! I normally wouldn't complain about prices whenever I go downtown but the drink glasses are rather too "skinny" for what they charge for them. read more

4.5 Stars I think I found my new hangout spot! The second time coming here was a charm. First time they were closed for a private event which I hear happens a lot. I'm pretty sure this has to be the biggest rooftop in Chicago. What they are lacking in views they definitely make it up with space. So comfy! You totally feel like you're in someone's back yard. The life size games, the over sized comfy couches, and the laid back vibe make me feel at home. I was catching up with a couple friends I hadn't seen in awhile. We arrived at 6:30 and literally closed the place down. The couches are so comfortable I nearly fell asleep. There are two large areas, but I prefer the side with the couches versus the tables. As for drinks...there a bit pricey, but delicious! The servers take a lot of care and put a lot of ingredients and booze into the drinks. I was craving a frozen drink and went with the summertime Mai tai. It was very sweet and refreshing. My other friends had prosecco and mojitos and enjoyed theirs as well. Drinks are around $16. Came on a Saturday late afternoon and we were easily able to find a table. The hostess was great and the waiter was pretty good, too. I ordered a couple of the blueberry mules and they were delicious! We ordered the summer corn flatbread and the fries to share. The flatbread was AMAZING. So many great flavors on one delicious flatbread. The pickled peaches were so unique and elevated the dish! The views were great. Overall, great rooftop with good views, food, and drinks.
