I just wanted to speak to someone that could help me. I've been on the phone since 8:30 am now it's after 12 noon. These calls just keep going from one person to another and some people don't answer. With summer adventures ahead I answered the call and shifted our staycation Memorial Day trip ahead a few days to make the date. During the Voir Dire many potential jurors were asked about their trips and of any reservation or ticket documentation to corroborate. Don't skip out on your civil service people. Speak the truth, that's what Voir Dire means. Civil Court of Cook County. Damages case. I knew I would be seated on the jury the minute I agreed with Plaintiff Counsel that people should face consequences for their actions. It was a fascinating experience being part of this jury at the same time a jury in New York was deciding the fate of an ex President. The cross examinations of expert witnesses became a tennis match of volleys that seemed like a tedious search for who ordered the Code Red and expertly executed dodges like the Who's on First routine. It was amazing to see the fencing that went on between witness and counsel. Well crafted questions elicit the answers you look for. This was more impressive than watching sideline reporters getting a word with coach, just before he storms into the locker room to rip his team that's getting smoked. After the judges instructions, the case was ours and we retired to the jury room to deliberate. Sidenote-thankfully we did not have the fifty three pages of instructions the Trump jury was read, yet could not have a copy of. Our jury of twelve from all walks of life talked out all the issues of the case. Everyone was welcomed to express their opinions, and everyone was heard. Please hire more people like her. Everyone that comes to the courthouse has varying reasons for being there but all should be treated with decency and respect. A little kindness goes a long way.

Whoever this glorified traffic enforcer was harassed, yelled, and called me a liar when I called her out on the BS about cameras on the buses and in the terminal specifically to take pictures of license plates. She told me to move, mind you I'm just waiting, no car yet. I told her no. She said when my ride gets to the terminal she's going to make sure the driver gets a ticket, mind you cars were parking and picking up passengers. She was about two feet away from my face on a power trip. Luckily I kept calm and it got her even more upset because she knew she got caught. I reported her to the city's Office of Inspector General and also took a pic. Beware people... Unbelievable lack of decorum. BTW my ride came and picked me up... All I heard was her yelling "oh she's leaving!" But couldn't get a view of the plate bc she was too far, too funny, nice to know the universe let me have the last laugh. Hope this dumbass sleeps well knowing she got called out and didn't get her way. Lol

I initially tried the "call back" option as the wait time was long. I eventually got a call back but the line was quiet. I kept saying "hello" for two or so mins, but they just stayed quiet on the other side. So I eventually hung up. When I tried calling back over the next couple of days the system kept telling me I am in line for the call back option. I had to use a different phone to call again. The first time I waited for an hour they picked up and hung up right away. The second time a lady started talking and I said "hello" over her and she instantaneously hung up on me again. Finally, the third time was the charm - I ended up talking to someone who was extremely helpful and assisted with my case. Thanks to her, I am not going to be escalate my complaint further. I hope there are truly quality control people who are reviewing these Yelp complaints. We all have been paying unemployment insurance for years and when we are faced with the difficult moment when we need it, we shouldn't be treated so disrespectfully.

I recently went to watch Soul Food at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park and was very happy with the whole experience including the sound there. If you end up watching at Jay Pritzker, I suggest getting as close to the screen as you can to the front for the best visual experience. Awesome idea the city of Chicago has had putting on these movies bringing the people of our city together for a fun, free night together!

I had doubts about having the movie in various 'hoods. I was wrong. Having the movies in various neighborhoods is much better. Instead of buying the food and beverages downtown, I will be able to support the mylocal shops and take out restaurants. Just go early to pick your spot since it does get somewhat crowded - not like at Grant Park. You are able to bring your favorite take out dinner, movie snacks including beverages. Just remember, alcohol is not permitted in the park. Having stated that, if you have a big back pack or purse and it just happens to have your favorite adult beverage in it... it will be fine. Just like Grant Park, the scenery is incredible. The skyline is on one side of the park and the breeze from Lake Michigan is on the other side. Since the showing was at the part at Belmont and Sheridan Road, I was able to walk over there. Within 10 minutes after the movie, I was home. I will be attending more of these movies in the nearby neighborhoods.

I have put in a complaint about LEAD in the water in the 60629 /West Lawn area by Midway Airport . And have to wait 30 days til someone comes out to check the water.
