But then I noticed none of them are about the quality of the dental work. Some reviewers didn't even set foot in the office! Unfortunately, most people only review medical offices when they've had a bad experience. I realized it wasn't a fair characterization. I saw Dr. Santavicca when I was attending college near Lebanon, NH. I needed many things, including a wire brace, artificial crown, Invisilign, and finally composite veneers. This took about two years to complete. Not only did she make the best composite veneers I could have ever hoped for, but to this day many dentists comment on the quality of her work. She shaped them personally, and had to shape them in such a way to hide the spaces between my teeth that remained even after the Invisalign. This is very technically difficult to do, but she did it perfectly. Her bedside manner is everything you could hope for. Every trip to the office was pleasant and full of smiles from everyone, which I really appreciated. If only I could say that about my primary care doctor's office...

Less than two hours after an appointment of two fillings and a cap, the injection sites where Dr. Santavicca had poked me for novocaine had stopped aching. The hardware is as good as I have had in 40+ years of modern dentistry, and the software technology seems to be the optimal level of sophistication (including 3D imaging that accesses "before", "during", and "after" tooth alteration procedures). Another thing I noticed with this nearly all-female staff was that their dexterity was top notch the entire time, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. So, it is first thing in the morning, and both the dentist and technician were coordinating very complex checklists of elements with patient, but cheerful airs. How do they do this for every patient? Somehow, they do.

I went to another dentist who immediately saw that the crown was way too sharp and he filed it down and was much better. Then I had to go back a second time to this other dentist for some pain and they found a chunk of cement that Dr. Patel did not clean off. I was in pain and had not eaten in days because of what she did and I was literally crying her chair. She was cold, and uncaring and told me she was right and I needed to deal with it. His only words during the entire hour long procedure were " stop moving."
