Jerry is amazing!…read more After moving and sleeping in an air mattress for two days, I came in for a 30 minute massage with Jerry. He right away felt the tension in my upper back and the message was perfect. Highly recommend him and I'll definitely be back!

Thanks to Joy G. (and Yelp) for the tip! I never would've found this place on my own, tucked away…read moreas it is under a stoop in the basement of a residential building. It looks a little shady from outside, quite frankly, but inside, the space is pleasant, the massage tables impeccably clean. You can, indeed, hear all the goings on in the adjoining rooms, as Joy noted, but luckily on my visit, there wasn't anything too loud or distracting going on. They seem to have good COVID procedures in place: Everyone gets a temperature check before coming in, a squirt of hand sanitizer, and their shoes spritzed with disinfectant. Staff and customers remain masked at all times. My massage therapist, Michelle, was excellent -- more akin to a medical professional than a spa employee. Like every other office grunt in NYC, I sit a lot and my back / shoulders are a disaster. I also do a lot of kid lifting (this should be an Olympic event) and recently started taking taekwondo classes, which are beating the crud out of me -- in a good way. Her technique was almost painfully hard, but magically kneaded out the kinks and qi blockages. Yep, an hour lying on your belly does leave you looking like you've spent the last hour sobbing, with or without contacts in. (I don't wear contacts or glasses because, according to my parents, I never studied hard enough. ;) So bring shades and an extra mask in case you relax so much you drool. Pricing is ridiculously inexpensive: $48 for 61 minutes! And yes, it is sixty-ONE minutes. Maybe it's a numerology thing.

I went in without an appointment and they were fully booked so I made one and came back…read more The massage was amazing and my only regret is that I didn't make it longer to allow the masseuse to get all the knots out of my back. (Upper body massage) The women massaging me was around 25 lbs lighter than me (I'm about 130), but she was incredibly strong and applied much needed pressure to my back. This was my first massage and I will be going back One thing that was a little jarring is after i had taken off my top and was on the table, the women had me lift my hips and slide my pants to below my butt. I don't think it was that weird considering my pants are mid-rise, so they cover my lower back. So yeah, it was a little surprising but not inappropriate.

Good enough. Not really a store front, this is a fairly large double space w the foot massage on…read morethe left and a full nail salon on the right. They share the entry & front desk , but have 2 different business cards on the desk and I suspect they pull the nail techs to do services when busy. For example, my friend and I went in for our foot reflexology appointments. It was a short wait despite having booked on line. 3 minutes later the desk person said we could go to the right, which we agreed to, and the nail tech women did the foot massage in the pedicure seats under bright lights but nice, tranquil music. It was ok, but no where near the relaxing experience of resting back in the dark and having one of the men do their magic with feet. I would not return only because I would prefer the place on 72nd that does a great, professional job.
