Been coming here for months now. The staff are amazing! Cute and clean/well kept location. What I will say is it's located in a shared parking lot with other businesses, so parking can be tricky depending on the time of day you come, so prepare for that when you come for your appointment. I had a membership for four 50 minute stretches a month and sometimes I wouldn't be able to get all four in for that month and they would extend the last stretch into the next month for me as a courtesy! I've gone to a lot of the staff before but my favorites are my girls, Molly and Lucia. They do book up pretty quickly so book your appointments as early as possible. Definitely try out different people cause our bodies are different and different people can help out different ways. I've tried to make sure to refer my family and friends to get stretches with them cause even if you are adamant about doing them yourself, it's nothing like getting it done by someone else especially an expert. Can't say anything negative about the Albany staff. They are amazing. I tell them all the time. Do yourself a favor and check them out. I had my first session last week (50 mins with Ty) and I am really looking forward to my next one. I am chronically stiff and sore, have had the worst hip pain for some time, and recently found out I have several protruding discs in my lumbar spine plus I've had cumulative injuries to my left leg and back . My husband got me 4 sessions for Valentine's Day after hearing me talk about desperately needing it. After my first session, I felt loose, lighter and committed to fixing this aging body. So far so good I was worried StretchLab would be the massage envy equivalent to a PT/OT/ masseuse and thank goodness it's not . For $59 you can try a 50mL nite session which included a biometric analysis. They have a few basic package deals for weekly or 2x weekly massage sessions at 25 or 50min. I highly recommend 50min because you get a good whole body stretch similar to visiting a physical therapist but like better and more focus on flexibility and comfort than rehabilitation. Honestly I don't know why I haven't been here sooner. They stretch you in ways I just cant at home . They're reaching spots and muscle groups I didn't know I was tight in even with yoga and other practices in my regimen. Considering I work remotely , am more sedentary with a newborn with pelvic shifting etc I'd say this is the best investment this year. I recommend trying different people out. Thee few I've had were PTs in a different country or into other wellness areas like dance and Pilates . It's insanely therapeutic and I almost always fall asleep read more

I've been going to stretch lab in Albany for a couple of months. I love my visits there. It has jumpstarted my own stretch routine at home. In my 70's, I can't overestimate how important stretching is. Lucia has been my coach and flexologist. She's fantastic and always looking for ways to improve my overall flexibility. So I really want to like this place and give it 5 stars. Their stretch therapists are great. My wife really liked David C and I really enjoyed Ricardo and Joselyn. The issues. We were told that you have to get a "package". We signed up for a family 8 50 minute session package for 3 months. The problem, is because of limited availability, we've had to book sessions way ahead of schedule, or be stuck with a different therapist. After 3 months, we've only used half of our sessions, that we're being told are now "lost" unless we continue our membership. Which means signing up for more that we probably can't use. Spoke with a manager, who was really nice, but didn't offer any realistic solution. I find this place super beneficial, but their system is seriously flawed. Finally, Ive been getting attempted charges for a 4th month that we never agreed to, but because surprise, you have to cancel your membership even though I only signed up for three months, I need to give them a 31 day notice that I don't want my 3 month member ship for a 4th month. read more

Stretch Lab in Albany is an excellent place to work your ability of movement particularly at retirement age. It has allowed me to increase my flexibility of limbs and neck lost by my mostly desk work. The staff is professional, friendly and very attentive. My stretchologist is extremely knowledgeable, and asks me for my feedback on how far to stretch, etc., while also making recommendations for things I can do at home to improve multiple issues I have. This is a good place. There are many stretches that benefit from (or are only possible) with another person helping. I went for an intro session with David and felt the results immediately. Their "squat-o-meter" analyzes you quickly and graphically shows results clearly. I knew I'd developed an asymmetry, which the machine showed in impressive red icons. I just visited our local StretchLab Albany for a 50 minute passive stretching sequence. It was interspersed with PNF and reciprocal inhibition (active contraction of the antagonist or opposite muscle groups helps these muscles neurologically release). I trained and worked in the early 90s as a Traditional Thai Massage and a Zen Shiatsu therapist and some of the passive stretching sequences felt familiar. I am a sports chiropractor and to me the stretches felt safe and well applied. I worked with Guilia, who was both professional and fun to work with! It's great to have such a place in the neighborhood. So go get stretched and move your fascia! read more

I joined Stretch Lab at the end of Jan 2020. Later I noticed that their schedule was always fully booked and I was not able to make an appointment for myself. So I canceled the monthly subscription. But I still had two sessions left with Stretch lab. To used them up, I tried to rearrange my work schedule and made two appointments before it went expired. Due to Pandemic, they canceled my appointments without notifying me. They re-opened and also did not notify me. I tried to use the remaining sessions so I went to the website to make an appointment. Guess what! They asked me to buy sessions. The way they do business is very disrespectful. If I can give them zero stars, I will. read more

It's been a really disappointing experience trying to book a session with this studio. I had a great intro session, clearly, so my husband got me a gift certificate to get a full session. However, it's really difficult to navigate the website and when I finally find the spot where I can book an appointment (for a 50-min one-on-one stretch), there are no availabilities. Also, no one ever picks up the phone. I'd love to change my rating for this studio, but I can't even get a session in! read more
