From my very first phone call through every visit, the entire team has made this a wonderful, positive experience. The front desk staff is always welcoming and professional, and the atmosphere makes me actually look forward to my appointments. They call me when something opens up knowing that I'm only walking distance away. My therapist, Carl, has been incredible. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and gentle in his approach. After my total knee replacement only 3 weeks ago, he is still guiding me through every step of my recovery, and together we've made tremendous progress. Even my surgeon has been extremely impressed with how well I'm doing, and my range of motion. If you're trying to decide where to go for physical therapy, I can confidently say you've found the right place. The PT at HSS treats you individually for 30 minutes and is prompt and on time. At ONS My appt was 10:30 and I didn't see the PT for 20 minutes and I just sat there with a hot towel around my ankle. I kept asking where the PT was and they said she would be over shortly. She spent 10 minutes with me and gave me off to her assistant. When I asked what was the 4th exercise I did on my initial visit she said I have 24 patients and I don't know. I canceled all my other appointments and I'll return to HSS where I can get all my care by a PT. I know this is owned by a venture capitalist and the care is not great and rushed. I suggest you use HSS PT and not here!!!!

I had sciatica that was worsened by a, unknown at the time, thyroid issue. First, I would see Dr. Chimes for half an hour and I swear he would deeply massage a sore spot for 15-20 seconds then take TWO MINUTES of notes after. Maybe this cycle would repeat 3-4 times. Then he'd put electrified acupuncture needles in my back and leave. Numerous times I asked him what he was writing and he said he took detailed notes. It was SO WEIRD. Second, the whole time he would treat you he would complain mercilessly about how hard his life is with his family and working with the NY Yankees. Third, as I wasn't getting any better, during my last two visits he outright yelled at me that there's nothing he could do. During my last visit, he was yelling at me while I was crying and then he put in the needles. He came back 10 minutes later apologizing profusely for yelling and that "I know we can get you better." Well, I went somewhere else after that where they don't yell and I got better. It was a solid 10 out of 10 on the crazy scale.

Maria of Ananda Physical Therapy is a hidden gem in Greenwich. I have been seeing her for over a…read moreyear now and she is excellent at what she does. She spends an hour of one to one treatment using manual therapy specifically the John F Barnes Myofascial Release method. I have chronic back issues secondary to degenerative disc disease for over 8 years and has subsided significantly with her care. Since she started seeing me I have been exercising, walking and even going to Zumba. I have not been taking any meds or injections which doctors have advised me before. I have stopped going to a chiropractor or traditional PT (TENS, laser, hot packs, US, exercises, stretches) as the relief they provide are temporary and do not last. She also addressed my frozen shoulder that completely resolved within 2 months (orthopedic doctor wanted to do steroid injection but I respectfully declined). I had a flare up last Friday as I have not seen her for over 3 months (big mistake), and it was pretty bad (could not move, intense pain, spasms in the whole lumbar area and pain shooting down my leg), felt so down and disabled. Called Maria on Saturday and she accommodated me knowing my history. Saw her for 4 treatments and feel like a new person already( today is Wednesday by the way).
