It feels like they make it as hard as possible to stop billing your account: which says a lot about how they value their members when they want to cancel. It's in the breakup that a gym's true character is shown, and this place failed the test. Trying to end my membership turned into a dragged‑out, confusing mess of "we'll take care of it" followed by more surprise charges. It shouldn't be this hard to leave a business you no longer want to be with.

This was very unprofessional. I am now forced to file a police report and go to court which will cost me more money upfront... I am not letting this go...it is no longer about the money, but about putting a business on notice, that I will not allow them to take money from me and get away with it. Instructions at the Mason studio are helpful and correcting is always done in a positive way. Their retail is open for anyone and they offer a cute selection of good workout gear. Most studios offer a first class free so you can try it out. They have a more cardio centric option, a strength option plus classic barre. This gives you the ability to vary your workout. Going to barre 3-4 times a week had me in the best shape of my life. Body weight, isometric and challenging but also able to modify for your ability and any health challenges. And don't let the name fool you, there are dedicated male clients too and barre is a great strength, flexibility workout. And one of my favorite things about Pure Barre is that everyone concentrates on themselves so you never feel like people are looking at or judging you.

This is truly a welcoming environment for all and the instructors and fellow members are all very kind. The workout is definitely on the intense side but there are lots of modifications that you can do to make it easier or harder depending on your fitness level. I am already seeing a difference in my ability to keep going in the classes and I feel great after the class! You will enjoy his little "nuggets" of inspiration like, "There is no progress without process" while you're running at incline 5/6mph, makes you want to push yourself harder to achieve your goal. That made me think days after class and how losing weight or just getting healthy is a journey and what we put into it, is what we get out of it. If you put your all into every class you take, then you are guaranteed to get over 500 calories burned within 1 hour but it depends on how hard you try. How bad do you really want it?! Plenty of parking, great peeps trying to reach similar goals and the fact that I can burn hours after, make it a great investment.

Corporate responded I had to contact Mason-still no response-now there is a new manager who gave me email of his boss-who is not part of franchise-his boss Josh has not called me. I went to cancel just so monthly fees would stop and was told I would be charged for this month because I was 3 days too late. Because a debit card is the only acceptable payment for Planet Fitness I have no way to get my money refunded This is criminal and I never thought I could be scammed like this

I ignored the warnings and for the first year or two, this location proved everyone wrong. It was welcoming, clean, and genuinely enjoyable. The staff were fantastic, and the general manager, Lorette, was exceptional: accommodating, kind, professional, and clearly invested in creating a positive environment. Then corporate energy showed up. Over the last 4-5 months, this gym has taken a sharp turn downhill. Whoever is calling the shots above the GM level seems determined to dismantle everything that actually worked. Great, experienced staff were pushed out and replaced with undertrained, disengaged employees, and the entire vibe shifted from friendly and community-oriented to cold and transactional. The few long-term employees who remain deserve medals. They're basically holding together a shipwreck with good attitudes and professionalism, and it's obvious they care--despite leadership making their jobs harder than necessary. The newest round of hires gives some hope, but let's be real: hope doesn't fix bad leadership. If the people in charge continue prioritizing numbers over people, this gym is going to lose what made it special. Corporate may not notice from their offices, but members do and many of us won't stick around forever.
