I traded in a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit with about 265,000km. They said it was only worth $1000 trade in as it had some issues and would be sold for scrap. While I sat and waited, they apparently called all the wholesalers (after hours) to ask if anyone wanted it and everyone said no. They insisted that it was an absolutely worthless vehicle. After I agreed to the $1000 trade-in, it was advertised on their site for $16,000. When I called, they said it's priced high so no one will ask about it and it will be sold to a wholesaler (forgetting that they told me that they already called ALL of them). I purchased a 2025 RAV4 at the same time and found the original receipt in the glovebox that stated that I actually paid $5000 more than the original sale price. When I asked about it, they said that because there's such a high demand for used hybrids right now, they can price them higher than their original price. Got screwed on my 2013 VW Jetta trendline trade in , they said it wasn't worth anything and only gave me $300. I wanted at least $1,200. They Said it rode rough on test drive , which was a drive down one row in their parking lot. there were no issues with how it drove. I even had a recent safety done on it. It never Missed a mtce schedule since I bought new in 2013....it was in excellent driving condition for that age. If I didn't live almost 2 hr away I would have taken it back home. I was trying to help my grandson out with buying his first vehicle by trading this in for him as part of down payment.... they said it will get put in lot for scrap. Now I see it on their website for $1,888. It isn't even washed from when we brought it in. They are good talkers but after that I would never recommend them to anyone. DISCUSTING .... read more

BEWARE!! Looking for a used vehicle? Don't waste your precious time at Strickland's in Stratford. I would highly recommend you just keep driving to the next car dealership. I know car salesmen have made real heartless and sketchy names for themselves but this one takes THE CAKE!! read more

Stay away from this place. You are on your own and there is no accountability. I purchased a vehicle and was told by the salesman where to go for a safety. The salesman told me that his clients had their safety at Parkdale Automotive. He drove the vehicle to Parkdale and had the safety done. He also asked for my insurance information,etc. I live in London so I told him once he got the plates after the safety was completed I would pick the car up at Parkdale after hours. The vehicle was plated and I drove off. My thought was that I would wait for a notification for license plate renewals in l year. I was stopped by the police 3 months later and ticked $110 for expired plates. I was told that the plates I had on the vehicle were temporary only. What was never explained to me by the salesman (who no longer works here, nor the manager, or his manager) is that I was paying for temporary plates only. WHY DID I HAVE A SAFETY? If I have a safety where the car has passed, have my insurance information, etc. Why in the world a temporary license???? When I called Stricklands they have washed their hands. Even though there sales person directed me to the safety he never explained that this was a temporary plate they are not taking any responsibility. I now have to get another safety (because the other one expired), pay a $110 fine, and then buy plates. Al London Ontario read more

Not sure why San Fransiscans are buying cars here, but we bought both our Toyotas new, 2015 Highlander and 2018 Corolla. Both salesreps are now gone, Mike Baskerville and John Rozic, but both were great to deal with. Told us all the info we needed, were honest and friendly to deal with. The buying experience was good, but they are not in the business of selling cars. They are in the financing business. If you have your own financing, and dont need theirs.....don't bother going here. What a waste of time. I had financing all set up prior to walking in the door. I signed the bill of sale, told them a broker would bring a cheque. A day later, they to REFUSE to sell me the car. It's called a BROKER Stricklands!!!!! It's the new way to buy cars. Catch up. My brokers advertising wasnt kidding when they advertise you get a better rate with them. I did have a MUCH better rate!! Stricklands refuse to honour the purchase agreement and then cancelled my deal. They claim to be cutting me a cheque for my deposit, I'll believe it when I see it. I will never ever recommend Stricklands to anyone. Ever. read more
